they don't listen. They treat you like you are the criminal. They treat you like you are an idiot and they just assume everyone is lying just for the sake of it. They think its ok for the child support agency and the ato. to take advantage of people who cant afford a real lawyer .but they allocate some third world representative who got their education in a toilet bowl reading skid marks. They don't understand Australian law, or any law. They are wasting tax payers money and should be stopped from doing that. They don't listen, and when people get upset and abuse them, they turn around and blame others for being rude and nasty. then it is so much easier for them to say we are not going to help you. This has been their strategy for a long time. They have let me down 6 times, why , they are just lazy. They know people will give up eventually and that's what they count on. Its ok for them, they can still take tax payers money home from things they don't do, but are supposed to. You people at legal aid are disgustingly selfish. How can you live with yourself knowing that you are stealing from honest people???

My experience with the government lawyer from Legal Aid was extremely disappointing. I felt coerced into pleading guilty against my wishes, and the final verdict was not in my favor. This left me with a profound sense of injustice and mistrust in the legal system's ability to protect my rights. I WANT COMPENSATION. THEY HAVE GIVEN ME A LIFE LONG CRIMINAL RECORD

Very good advice and service. For a free service. You can’t get advice on the spot when you call but can book for a phone appt with legal professional. Well worth the three day wait.
