The website indicated I could order home delivery but on checkout it automatically switched to a store collection miles from my home.
After many unsuccessful attempts to contact customer services via phone and email I called a local store who told me this was a common problem. They went on to describe how there is no such thing as 'normal' home delivery. Any so called order is sent to one store, then the customer has to ring that store to arrange a courier. There is no mention of this anywhere on the website, confirmation email or on my orders page.
To make matters worse, online orders are on a different system to in person orders. This means you have to go through the central 'customer service' contacts who don't pick up the phone (10 attempts over 2 days) and email that returns an error.
This is incredibly poor online service that really lets their excellent in store colleagues down.

Great product

Leyland SDM has helpful staff across locations, with some going the extra mile. Paint mixing was decent but not perfect, and communication on stock availability could improve. Overall, service is good, but some experiences were frustrating. A mixed bag, but worth trying for local paint needs.

Ordered online and simply had the order cancelled with no explanation, not even a message to say sorry.

I visited the store on Kings road in need of another sample pot of paint and received the most incredible customer service I have ever had in any store thanks to Dean and Reece! The display was empty so Dean and Reece opened up a new shipment of sample pots and literally sorted through hundreds of options before we found the one I needed! They were patient, kind and went out of their way to ensure I got the sample I needed. This will now be my go-to hardware and paint store!!!

Delivery was very efficient

Beware this product is not medium duty. Leyland state it's 12 micon which is light duty specification. Leyland do not publish the micron specification as alleged. The specification is not shown on their website nor on the packaging

I have always found the staff to be very helpful in your Tooting Bec branch. Kat was very friendly and knowledgeable today. I recommend this store, Good atmosphere and accommodating staff.

What great staff in Hammersmith store. So patient especially as I was so stressed over the colour I wanted. The young guy was so patient, nothing was to much trouble. Also the lady assistant who gave me great tips. Leyland head office I would advise you to give them a pay rise , so they will stay.

Bartek from the Acton branch was very helpful and his knowledge in advising how to treat bad stains on walls and ceilings was excellent.

Easy to find and exactly what I wanted

We are a business and had an invoice missing from a few months back, we didn't know if it was purchased online or instore. Clayton dealt with our request for a copy and managed to track it down in a couple of days.

I tried ordering a set of steps 3 times and each time I was refunded the money, but never received an email/ expatiation from Leyland that the order was stopped. I only notice because I looked at my bank account statement. 3 weeks later, I still need to get some steps

I haven't receve my item them send it wrong at not my adress..rabish company

the company seems good. despatched my goods on time although they need to use a different delivery company as I paid for next day delivery and it came 2 days later which was ordered before 12 -0 clock.

Helpful and friendly

I am so impressed by Bruno and his team at the Bayswater branch of Leyland and wanted to make sure I wrote something officially about how fantastic they all are. I have been in numerous times over the past few months for paints and other items, and the advice and care, friendliness and professionalism from everyone in the store is second to none. They have such knowledge and passion, and it's a joy to go in there and I always end up learning something new from their advice! Bruno is a truly world class manager and it's clear how much the team love and respect him. My only flag would be that for a store of that size, it feels like the team is slightly small. On my last visit there were around 14 customers - some trade, some personal, like me - needing help and the guys were having to dart around trying to serve everyone. And on more than one occasion, there has been the unfortunate incident of minor shoplifting simply due again to size of store v. size of team and it being impossible for the staff to be able to be in 3 places at once in such a busy large store! I felt compelled to drop a review as I simply can't speak highly enough of Bruno and everyone there and great thanks to them all for the expert wisdom they share and playing such a crucial part in the renovations of my home!
