Paid for a 'hardcover' book and got sent an ebook. No response from emails sent

Bought a newly published hardback online; impressed by the discount and free postage. However, follow-up email from Librolane insisted it was an EBook and I had selected that option - not true, as it was a present for my son-in-law's birthday. After a few emails I agreed to accept the EBook because I was assured that I could transfer the download link as a gift. 5 days and 5 emails later, the download link has not appeared. Have requested a refund but do not hold up any hope of receiving it.

THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE SCAM. I ASKED FOR HARDBACK AND THEY SAY THEY SENT DIGITAL WHICH THEY DIDN'T !

DESPITE SHOWING A PHONE NUMBER WHICH TELLS YOU TO EMAIL AND SO YOU CANNOT SPEAK TO ANYONE AVOID!!!!
SINCE THEIR EMAIL SUPPORT IS A SCAM TOO

Ordered a hardback book but was given an eBook, communication with librolane VERY poor, they are showing no interest in sorting this issue out. Not even allowing a refund even though the eBook has not been downloaded. Do not recommend any one to deal with this company!!!!! 0⃣ stars

I also expected a hardback book. The link i recieved didnt work either.

“Oh it’s horrible! Dealing with people like these is like stepping in dog poo! Takes ages to get rid of the smell and clean the it off, but eventually you do get rid of it where as the Librolane individual will always remain … $€#*… no matter what other scam they start up!

Oh no, I usually read reviews before ordering from a company I haven't heard of, lesson learnt. I haven't received anything from this company from the order I placed in August, money taken. Why are the not closed down from continuing to scam people.

Be careful buying of these , when you try to cancel they ghost you , total scam merchants, I ordered a hardback book and got a ebook. They said I ordered a ebook

I too am in the process of being scammed. I wish I had checked this company out but you don’t expect a book seller to be a con. I selected and ordered a hardback. A digital download came. I messaged them to alert them to this error and so far have had three (clearly automated) replies that just state a reminder I ordered a download. I didn’t. I shall attempt to call them but won’t hold my breath.

Update: calling them is an automated message. I finally got a reply of sorts saying you ordered digital. Anyway, I have done a chargeback on my credit card. Obviously this company shouldn’t be operating as they are.

Joke company sadly and I always think that I am good at spotting scams. Trouble is it does not appear as a scam and the book I ordered would be the cheapest online...so maybe my fault for being a cheapskate!!

Do NOT order a book from Librolane. I ordered a physical book and was sent a eBook. They sent a separate order acknowledgement saying; "just a friendly reminder that you have ordered an eBook!" Naturaly I disputed this but got nowhere as they insisted I had ordered an eBook. Their excuses were pathetic. I raised a 'disputed transaction' with my credit card provider. They will refund the transaction while they investigate and contact Librolane for their side of things, but I am confident they will recognise that they are a rogue company. I have not opened the digital book. I must report them to other bodies.

This as a scam and do not use. I also bought a hardback book and received a link to a download. Have reported them for investigation. If you have done the same contact your credit card company as they will report them and the company is fined.

I ordered 2 hard back books and was sent links to ebooks.

I contacted them immediately and have had no reply after 6 days.
I have requested a charge back from my bank.
Fortunately I took screen shots of what I ordered and their advert for hardback copies.

When I filled in the bank form the book company name came us as Libroland Poland.
If I'd known it was a foreign company I would not have placed the order.

I don't want ebooks, I like to sit and read the books in my hand. It might be old fashioned but its my preference

Same experience as other reviewers. Ordered a physical book and received a digital download. When I queried it they insisted that I had ordered an ebook and refused to issue a refund or replace with the hard copy I'd ordered although I had not opened the link. When I pointed out that their website states that ebooks are only nonrefundable if you have downloaded them or opened the link (which I hadn't done) they did not reply. Hadn't the energy to pursue any further which is probably what they intend...Avoid this company at all costs - would give 0 stars if I could

I wish I'd read all these reviews before ordering from Librolane. They are a complete scam!

I ordered a hard copy book o ly to receive a digital copy. When I queried, they argued I'd pressed the incorrect option on their website.

When checking, the scam was uncovered as the hard copy option defaults to digital once pressed. Avoid at all costs.

Librolane have been responding to me but only to confirm that it's my error and they cannot reverse the order.

I'm working with my bank to obtain a refund.

DO NOT USE
Complete scam you will only receive an e book and not the hardback you ordered and paid for.
Don't try phoning them as all you receive is an automated reply and niether avaliable option works.
Email is just as useless
If it sounds too good to be true it often is. Lesson learned.

I too have been caught out by this company, ordered a hardback copy and received an ebook. Have tried to email so far no response! I should have read all the other reviews first! Lesson learned!!

ordered a book 3 weeks ago, still hasn't arrived.
Buy elsewhere.
