Costs are up, while instructions are less detailed.
The increasing cost of the kits is making it more difficult to light up all my Christmas/winter models. The new trend of providing a video rather than detailed instructions is not bad, but still lacking in helping explain the process of adding lights to a set. With a few of the quick start sets, it's a bit more problematic when the sales description of what sets can be lit is different from the pictures of sets lit up, and then the video only covers one of the many.

Not so easy to do
It takes so much strenght to get the pieces to lot together. Strenght I don't have. The concept is great but the execution needs work.

I wanted to give you 1 star because im broke because of your lighting kits...I have the same issue with the Lego company. You both keep taking my money. I've written in before to customer service with my exploits of online shopping while being half asleep leading me to ordering lighting kits for sets I dont even have yet. But the fact is your product is just damn good. But it goes beyond the quality of product given. You can tell that the design teams are passionate about the best way to light up each set. Lights are purposefully placed to create the best lighting effect. The website is easy to use... hence the ability to order easily and spend all of my money. And the shipping if fast! I want to hate you all but I can't because I love you too much.

Product shipped on time and is always great and well-made. It really helps the LEGO sets POP with their presentation. They even notified me via email that there were some pieces missing from the light kit I had ordered before I discovered they were missing and they had already shipped the missing parts. FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Great addition to the Lego sets
Love the product! I got the Sherlock Holmes book nook and the Tales of the Space Age light sets. Both came with all the supplies and the instructions were straight forward. I followed the video instructions for the book nook, though I needed to slow it down to get all the information. It went a bit fast for someone like me who was brand new to this assembly.
For the Space Age light set, I followed the written instructions. The pictures were clear and I could understand the instructions easily. Easier to follow at a slower pace.
I use a small power bank to light the sets, and the cables are easy to hide in the back of the sets.
The lights really bring out another level to these sets, and I highly recommend for anyone wanting to display them.

I just installed the light kit for the Sherlock Holmes Book Nook set & it is amazing! It is my first light kit &, while it was unnerving dismantling the set to install the lights, the video instructions were very easy to follow. I highly recommend these light kits & will be getting more!

Instructions serviceable, but definitely Fell off...
The instructions for the Barad-Dur set were written like the designer just gave up towards the end. Not including steps to replace parts that were removed, "adding a piece" where to do so requires disassembly of half a wall in reality. and trying to use pictures where a simple sentence describing "point the lights opposite of the eye of Sauron" to prevent retina burn would have made a lot more sense and saved me about an hour.
The finished product is great, with the exception that two of the red lava lights are not functioning for me. This is kind of an inevitability when buying a kit with SO many lights. It's kind of unavoidable. Could use some help with replacements.
