What is ‘fibre’ vs ‘full fibre’?

Unlike a ‘fibre’ network, which may include slow, old copper wire, we have a ‘full fibre’ broadband network. This means our FTTP/FTTH (fibre to the premises / fibre to the home) network connects our street cabinets directly to your home modem using fibre optic cables all the way. This is why our network is both "hyper reliable and hyperfast".

Great experience

Great experience. Was up and running so quickly which is really appreciated. Rob and Glenn are 2 amazing employees. They did a great job, gave great advice and were super professional. Had a little chat and laugh with them and they interacted with my kids amazingly. Can't praise them more

Rob & Matt were brilliant.. so kind & friendly & helpful by resetting tv & mobiles.. could not have been nicer to me… pleased with the service & the wi fi not dropping out… would highly recommend.

Exccellent service made the switch very easy.

One phone call to lightning fibre was all it took to arrange a switch in our broadband provider. We had nothing else to do but wait a week for the line to be put in. The staff were friendly, efficient and professional.

Above and Beyond

I can honestly say that everyone at Lightning Fibre has been amazing and provided outstanding service from start to finish.

My top floor property was particularly tricky due to all the Victorian hung tiles and sash windows. Mark carried out a thorough survey and came up with a genius installation plan.

On the day of installation, the team (Nathanial, Jordan & George) were all really friendly and professional, and whilst Mark operated the cherry picker outside, Nathanial completed the work inside the property, making sure it looked neat and tidy, and patiently explained (to a customer with a thousand questions) how everything worked 😊

Can’t thank everyone enough, and just wanted you to know I really appreciate the “above and beyond” attitude that the entire team seems to have.

Moved my point for the router…

Moved my point for the router externally - not expensive, really helpful and tidy engineer. Did get another quote - way higher, and any problems would have meant getting remedial work from Lightning Fibre.

Local businesses, great customer service and high spec router

Very helpful from the initial call about what serives, soeeds and equipment provided. Quick to answer their phones. Quality Zyxel router and wifi extenders work brilliantly with no dropouts. Local company, highly recommend them. Much better service than the large national suppliers.

Great service

Installation of the broadband went really good. Happy with professional service offered by engineers coming home, respecting our home as much as taking off their shoes when going around in our home!

Whenever I have had need to phone…

Whenever I have had need to phone Lightning Fibre you are always friendly and very helpful - eg: a young lady talked me through rebooting my internet for me and I’m ashamed I can’t remember her name but she was brilliant and deserves a medal for her patience- cannot fault you with any dealings I’ve had with any of you - thank you

Fast response!

An engineer Lightning Fibre came the same day as I called and put in a new modem and got the connections working again. Engineer was very helpful and friendly.

A pleasant experience

The whole experience was pleasant and stress free. All of my questions were answered prior to signing up.
The engineers installing the cable and boxes were friendly and helpful and the system works well.

Brilliant

Customer service always top drawer. We struggled to get the fibre cable up to our property for several months but it was out of LFs control. Eventually they were able to remove the blockage in the duct. From that point on the installation and sign up process was seamless. The engineers were polite, respectful of my property and had no issues with my request to locate the cable around the side of my property through an existing hole previously used by an old satellite cable. The work was neat and tidy and cable on the wall barely noticeable. Since connection the speed has been fantastic and has greatly improved our experience with working from home and streaming.
