I am very disappointed with my experience shopping with Little Party Dress.

I ordered three dresses (around $180 in total), including one that I needed for an event. I’m usually a size 14, but after reading that many of the dresses were a generous fit, I ordered a size 16 to be safe. Unfortunately, the sizing was incredibly inconsistent. All three dresses were different styles but the same size, one was too big, while the other two were extremely tight across the bust, to the point they were unwearable. I was genuinely surprised by how small they fit the bust especially for a size 16.

I then went through the returns process. Although the dresses were on sale (around $60 each), I was disappointed that an order of this value wasn’t eligible for a refund. The returns portal initially allowed me to select “refund” and submit the request, which gave the impression that it was an available option, only for the request to be rejected later. I then had to resubmit everything for store credit instead.

To make matters worse, I assumed a prepaid return label would be provided after lodging the return. Instead, I received return instructions only and had to pay over $20 out of my own pocket to send the dresses back.

I understand that many of these policies and garment details are likely explained somewhere on the website. However, as a busy mum, the very audience many of these dresses are marketed towards I simply don’t have the time to read pages and pages of product information, return policies and fine print for every single dress before placing an order. I think most parents shopping online are relying on clear sizing guidance and a straightforward returns process, and unfortunately that wasn’t my experience.

So in the end, I spent almost $200, received dresses with inconsistent sizing that didn’t fit, had to pay over $20 to return them, and I’m left with store credit to a store I no longer want to shop with.

I understand sale items often have different return policies, but the overall experience from inconsistent sizing, to the confusing returns process, to paying for return postage left me feeling very disappointed. I won’t be shopping here again.

Also leaving this review was so so incredibly difficult and has taken me multiple attempts, wasting more time I don’t have.

Little Party Dress impressed me with their variety, most are bright prints , I’m not that much into prints, but I found some super flattering styles amongst their huge range and they have their signature styles released with different prints and different fabrics all yr round with constant new drops. I read a few comments about fabric quality however upon purchasing I see no problems at all and I’ve had their pants , their dresses and even tried some knits.
Only criticism is I’m a regular sz 12 at mainstream stores and I found that I had to size down because sizes are very generous with LPD. So I had to return and have sz 10 sent to me instead.
Staff very helpful and prices very reasonable. Highly recommend this store

I love this dress shop. Quirky and unique fabric; and the dresses are comfortable designs. The draw sting waist dresses are my favourite, as when my weight fluctuates, they still fit me.

Beautiful dress in an incredible print and great fit. I am wary of Facebook promoted ads as I have been scammed before but I am glad I risked it on this company. Very impressed and super fast delivery.
