We are very happy with the work that LMB have done for us and we now have the extra loft space we needed for our family. LMB gave us a clear schedule so we knew every aspect of the build including timings and costs. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

This is a five star rating and if there was a 4.5 rating that is what I would have given LMB. At times it was difficult to get in contact with various working elements of LMB which was frustrating, and yes, they are a very busy company. The front office of LMB, Helena, Philomena and Ashton is very efficient and helpful and at times were brilliant at tracking down people and getting questions and queries dealt with. The WhatsApp group that every client is involved in during their build is a very clever idea and mostly it works well. The end result of our Dorma extension, built on to an existing attic conversion built in 1984 was good. Our build although not huge was relatively complicated by marrying up a brick built attic conversion to a timber frame Dorma extension involving knocking down/through a brick wall when the timber frame was finished on the other side. It wasn't a straight forward build. There were some problems on the way but it all ended up as it should and importantly on time. So looking at the finished build we are pleased with it....and I am very fussy about detail as they will know. To conclude....In a top end restaurant in Paris, the waiter asked me how our very excellent lunch was and I replied 9 out of 10 Monsieur, Ah, he said, " Rien est parfait monsieur"..Nothing is perfect Sir.

I completed my loft conversion back in July 2023 and overall I am happy with the finished product. Initially, I had 10 loft companies in the running. Following a throughout selection process, I finally settled on LMB and they did not disappoint. When the site foreman came on site to check the structural calculations I had provided, he identified an issue with the drawings. They were quick to rectify the calculations so not to cause delay to the starting date. One of the strongest points I would say is the quality of the subcontractors working for LMB (the vetting is excellent!!!). Each subcontractor assigned to my job was polite, professional and skilled in their area of expertise. The same applies to their choice of suppliers. I was particularly impressed with the staircase company and the quality of their products. I have had many compliments on the staircase from friends who came to see the work and building control themselves (I used the local authority). I would also like to call out Paul Cahill, the supplier for the sliding doors. When I was trying to resolve an issue with building control, Paul did not hesitate to offer his help and even offered to be on site during the final inspection. Even though he did not have to do this since this was outside of his remit, I really appreciated him going the extra mile to help me.
All in, I am happy with the work produced by LMB and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to convert their loft.

I recently had the pleasure of working with LMB Lofts for a loft installation project, and I am thrilled with the outstanding results. The transformation of my space into two additional bedrooms and a stunning shower room has exceeded my expectations, and I credit the success of this project to the exemplary work of LMB team, this work has given our growing family the extra space we needed and having the extra shower room has been invaluable.

A dedicated WhatsApp group was set up before the build which proved a effective way of communicating with the whole team on the project. The project was expertly managed by Ollie, the dedicated project manager. Ollie's attention to detail, communication skills, and overall commitment to ensuring a seamless process were truly commendable. He kept me informed at every stage of the project, addressing any concerns promptly and ensuring that the entire installation ran like clockwork.

The newly created bedrooms are not only functional but also beautifully designed, making the most of the available space. As we were ready to make the big jump and get our loft done ( 2 bedrooms and a bathroom) we looked at various building companies. LMB stood out for us for their transparency and customer service from the pitch onwards. Fair prices too compared to other companies.

All the contractors used by LMB were knowledgeable and trustworthy. We were also pleased that the build overall was faster than anticipated.

LMB head office kept in touch with us regularly over the phone or over WhatsApp, where we also had direct contact with the various builders from the site.

We are very happy with the finished loft. Overall don't hesitate to go with LMB. Very professional.

The only reason we gave 4star rather than 5 star review was that the project manager assigned to us was not up to the task and we had to chase him time and again.
Several issues arised and he was nowhere to be seen.

We appreciate the owner getting involved to resolve issues that might have risen from this.

One strong point too from LMB is that you can talk to the builders on site and ask them to rectify anything you might spot, which for us was great listening and customer service from builders.

We will definitely recommend LMB to friends and family.

LMB did a great job on our loft conversion. From sales and providing ideas and inspiration through to delivery of a high quality conversion.

We contacted LMB Group about doing our loft conversion. They sent one of their team over to have a look and provided a quotation quickly. After contracting, LMB set up a WhatsApp group with our project manager, allocated builders and trades people. This made it very convenient to discuss issues, wants and needs as the project progressed. The quality of the workmanship is very good throughout – from structural to carpentry, plumbing and electrics to bathroom instillation and tiling. The end result is a very spacious loft conversation which we enjoy living in.

We had a rear dormer room built on our terrace home by LMB. We're very happy with the outcome which gives us everything we needed at a price which was good compared to other quotes we received. Initially there was a problem with our quote which meant we couldn't get exactly what we had expected but ultimately this didn't turn out to be a problem, our project manager Ollie looked at what we were working with and devised a really sleek, smart alternative which left us really happy with the final results. All the trades they brought in were good and were friendly and professional. The build went on a bit longer than we hoped and that would be one criticism but these things can happen with these projects. The important thing for us is that our project manager ensured all trades came back to fix any snags, and if they couldn't he ensured an alternative sorted the problem. The whatsapp group was a useful tool for communicating and keeping on top of what was happening when. Where issues had to be fixed, such as a broken chimney pot or some minor damage caused by scaffolders, LMB did so with little fuss which was important for us as I know this isn't always the case with building companies. Overall we're thrilled with our new loft space and a big thanks to everyone who helped get it built.

We met with several building companies to discuss having a loft conversion & after a lot of thought chose LMB.
We wanted an extra bedroom, an en-suite & storage!
Ours was not straight forward as lack of head height meant lowering the ceilings to allow for extra height in the conversion however, we were impressed at how smoothly & how quickly this went.
Several trades made up the team that completed our conversion, our first fix team, led by Ashley, were incredible! Our project manager coordinated the trades. The office quickly picked up anything that was needed.
There was a WhatsApp group that connected us to the whole team involved with our build and this worked really well to ensure communication was fluid throughout & no information was lost.
I would recommend LMB.

I have just completed my loft conversion and extremely happy with the quality of work, finsh and the professionalism each tradesman have carried out . I have had many quotes from different builders ,LMB was not the cheapest but was recommended to me by my friend who used LMB to convert his loft.
LMB gave me 12 weeks to complete the project and to my utmost surprise the project was completed in 9 weeks with no compromise on quality.

This is the first major building work I have done, and I am glad I have decided to go with LMB with not much headaches, there were few Hiccups but their office and the Whataap group was there to resolve them .

I called this company to enquire about some potential works. The lady who I spoke to was rude and shouted down the phone at me in an agressive manner. She stated she did not understand what I wanted and refused to help. I would suggest that this company hire more helpful and customer friendly staff.

Well pleased with our loft conversion. It looks stunning. Ashley and his crew of tradesmen were excellent. Very high standard of work and all completed within timescales thanks to Lee's supervision.
I would thoroughly recommend LMB and indeed, as a Mortgage Broker, I will be recommending them to my clients.

Our loft extension was our first ever construction project and we were a little sceptical from the outset that things would go as expected. Keen to employ a local company we searched online reviews, got 3 x quotes and settled on LMB. From quote to completion the project went smoothly. LMB were able to start our loft conversion a little earlier than originally estimated which was not a problem for us. Our project manager visited us before works commenced, talked us through the timetable and helped put our minds at ease about the likely disruption involved whilst living below a construction site in the middle of winter! From the moment the scaffolding went up (we opted for the tin-hat addition which I would recommend) the work continued at pace and all the targets in our building timeline were met, or exceeded. We had regular site visits from our project manager who always made himself available when required. All LMB's tradesmen such as plumbers, electricians etc. were very professional and I'd be more than happy to use each one again or recommend them to others.

LMB only use local professional tradesmen. This made our Loft conversion project run smoothly. Highly recommended.

LMB were excellent in carrying out my loft conversion and extension. The standard of of workmanship was first class. I would definitely use them again.

With any project you have to go in with your eyes wide open; there are always going to variations on the price and extras required, so extend your budget a bit and ask questions about the contract and scope.

Our project was from November 22 - March 23. Delays because of Christmas period etc.

1st fix - Brandon and Billy - take a bow - 5* - went really quickly, they tried to be as unobtrusive as possible and were generally very lovely.

2nd fix - the carpenters were all over the place and Lee the project manager was pulling his hair out with frustration. Don’t be afraid to source your own suppliers, we had to get our own tiler in because of the extra £500 the contracted tiler wanted. I’d give the 2nd fix section a 3*, although Lee saved the day most of the time and did some of the work himself.

Post work and snagging - 5*. LMB have been absolutely brilliant with following up on even small issues.

Right from beginning to completion, every stage was was executed in accordance with agreed terms and schedule. I must mention in particular the dedication of both the Project Manager Lee and the Building Foreman Eugene. the construction went like clockwork.
Any snag was promptly attended to in the course of the project. I am highly impressed.
