I ordered 2 tops and received them…
I ordered 2 tops and received them about 2 and a half weeks later. When I tried them on both tops were very large with overly long sleeves. I had seem some customers state that some tops ran small so I ordered the 2X instead of Large. There was no 1X option. I emailed that I was not happy with the fit and didn't want to exchange because the Large might not fit correctly. I requested directions to return and receive a refund. I've had several emails offering only exchange. They hassle free refund policy is a joke. It states that there is a 14 day return policy and it did state refund. I am getting nothing but a runaround. They offer to send me another size but I pay shipping. I don't trust this company and will spread the word to never order from them online. EDIT ADDITION: After 17 emails I had to go back to their original offer of exchanging the tops for a smaller size and pay 20.00 shipping fee. They will not give you a full refund. Every email had an "apology" and a worst percentage offer of 30% of total amount and a coupon for 50% another purchase. No thank you. They are going to send smaller sizes and said I can keep the originals. So weird!! It took 18 days for original shipment so we'll see what I receive in July. Never again.

Lucy & Claire is a fraudulent site
I wish I had looked up Lucy and Claire as I would have realized they are a Chinese company. This explains the poor quality of their clothes. I tried to return them as the quality is poor and the sizing is wrong, but they will not give me a refund but offered 30%. If I want a full refund, I have to send the clothes back to China, pay the mailing fee and "Maybe" they will refund me. What a scam. Their website has a refund policy but they're not honoring it.

I worked with Lucy on the replacement of an item that was received but didn't fit. She arranged to credit me without returning the item and helped me with the correct sizing of a replacement item. She was focused on satisfying my needs. She addressed
my concerns and successfully resolved my issue. She is knowledgeable and professional and provides excellent customer service. Based on my experience with her I would give more than 5 stars, and I will definitely be ordering again. I highly recommend. What a great experience.

Zero stars. Theirs is a very slick scam: lovely website, sweet origin story. Products are cheap quality and return process is impossible. Save yourself the money and hassle and order from Temu - you’ll get a better quality product.
My credit card was also compromised after ordering from this website. I don’t believe that is a coincidence.
I have filed a report with the FTC and suggest all who’ve been scammed by them do the same.

This is a horrible company! Do not deal with them. Their pictures are deceiving, the fabrics are gross and the dresses I ordered fit like gunny sacks. They do not offer a functional return process, instead they tie you up with email after email only offering partial store credit for substandard clothing. They claim to be a US company, but if you want to return something, you have to ship it back to China. They are a total scam operation. Stay away!!

I would give zero stars if available
I would give zero stars if available. My tennis shoes have zero arch support and the ankle boots will not go over my heel. The seam between the material that covers the heel and where the top of the boot meet is very stiff and just won’t go over the heel even though it’s the correct size. When I requested a return for a full refund, I was offered a 30% refund or a 70% website discount on a future order. After several emails haggling to get my refund, I was finally told I have to pay shipping to get it back to china and then wait until they receive it before getting my money back. I finally just accepted the 30% and chalked it up to lesson learned. I’ll be sure to make certain future purchases from any online site are not shipped from an overseas location.

Horrible quality
Horrible quality, can't return.. the are not in Charleston!! Shipped from Asia.. do not fall for thier pretty pictures.. I did.. oh, but they will give you 10% back.. lesson learned on my end!!

I appreciate that the designs are elegant without feeling too trendy. The pieces can easily be worn for work brunch or casual events. Very versatile additions to my wardrobe.

They won't refund, but they will send you more ugly clothing for additional shipping money. Such a common scam for clothing these days. Stay away - far away.

Nothing hassle free about returns

After several e mails, I was able to negotiate a 30% refund and had to keep useless items. The company suggested donation. A rather large donation I wasn’t planning to make. No wonder Amazon is killing the alternatives. They have an actual hassle free return policy.

They say they are in Charleston, but the item is shipped from China. The dress is very nice but does not fit. It has to be mailed back to CHINA at buyers expense and lots of hoops to jump through. What the heck! How goes Charleston fit in here!! Will never order again.

Do not order from this company. They make you believe you are ordering from their mother/daughter owned boutique in Charleston. They even sent me a note to say they were personally folding my items getting ready to ship them. These clothes are being shipped from China and took 18 days to arrive. The quality is horrible and looks nothing like the photos on their website. Don’t fall for their sweet story like I did. You will be hugely disappointed.

Actually this scam site deserves ZERO stars. Apparently there are a pair of sites lucyandclaire-chaleston.com and lucyandclara-charleston.com operating- all the better to confuse the consumer. Same charming story and photos- mother and daughter operating a bricks snd mortar store in Charleston SC opening an online presence to sell their lovely dresses to everyone. Reviewed their web site, typical return/refund/exchange policy. Ordered one dress which arrived within a week. Upon opening the packaging the dress reeked-smoke? body odor? weird fabric or dye? Cheaply made, sleezy fabric, weird sizing. Had to write to request return/refund information and instructions. That began a nearly 20 email exchange with many differing offers and apologies (seemingly all generated by an AI assistant (customer service assistant) " Lucy Moore" who works all hours of the day and night. Initially they requested photos-"not screen shots from their web site" -of the item. As if the cheap fabrication, sleezy fabric and odor can be detected from my photos. Photos sent along with indication that this item didn't run at all true to size. An identical replacement item is then offered in exchange and the ability retain this dress all for $9.95 shipping. More conversation and another size of the same item is offered. More conversation and then replacement with any similarly priced item with no shipping cost. I demand to return the unwearable dress and receive full refund, sending them a copy of their return/refund policy. In addition I mention the lucyandclara-charleston.com web site which clearly causes customer confusion. Same lovely photos of the "shop" similar bricks and mortar story, coming online, same dresses-slightly different prices. They will "refer that to their team for careful review." Next reply offers me a 15% refund to my card and I can retain the dress or a 5O% store credit My demand is reissued. Next reply is a 30% refund to my card and retain the dress or 75% store credit for future purchase. Upon reissue of my demand their offer is repeated along with the option (finally) to complete the return form and submit the dress and request refund by mailing the dress to CHINA! Once it is received and inspected if it is good condition, a refund will be made within 14 days of receipt. Return must be within 30 days, at my cost and they recommend purchasing parcel tracking service because if the package doesn't arrive they are not responsible and no refund will be made. What happened to their charming ship in Charleston, SC? At this point, I am posting here and will file with the FTC and review the two companies as many times as I can!
Stay away, do not purchase anything. I learned my lesson for $49.95 and will not incur additional charges to ship to China or provide them with my credit card number again. Worst customer experience I have ever had all couched in their very polite, chirpy AI generated responses! Pretty well done scam, I would say!
