It's unfortunate to have to report a service provider for misrepresenting their services, especially when the person who charged you and is looking for ways to avoid refunding you.
On September 18, 2025, we embarked on a trip to Italy.
For this trip, we booked a guided golf cart tour of Rome online through GetYourGuide, called Golf Cart Tour: Express Highlights of Rome. The guided tour is organized by the Luxurbe agency and will take place on September 17, 2025.
The description on GetYourGuide's website includes a description of the events and places we will see, which was provided by the Luxurbe agency.
The Collosseum is also mentioned. In the golf cart, I asked the driver when we'd see the Collosseum, the main excursion in Rome, and the reason for our reservation. To my surprise, he replied, "I don't think we have time to go see it." I told him that's why we took the tour, because it's listed and because we want to see it. He replied the same thing.
Upon our return, we filed a complaint with the agency, no response. Two days later, another one, no response. Four days later, we wrote directly (in chat) to GetYourGuide, who took our complaint and forwarded it to the agency responsible for the tour: Luxurbe.
Response after 3 days:
The Luxurbe agency won't accept our complaints because the event took place over a month ago.
It's incredible how they can avoid their mistake by not even mentioning that we didn't see the Colloseum, even though it was clearly stated in the description.
What's more, they're false; the online reservation indicated that we should book early to secure a spot.
Then the confirmation was only made 24 hours before the event, on September 16th, so here, the one-month delay since the event took place doesn't apply.
Even today, it hasn't been a month since the reservation was paid.
Courtesy of GetYourGuide. They gave us a refund, but not through the Luxurbe agency, which we consider somewhat dishonest in attracting customers with false claims, lies, and descriptions of what we'll see on the website, and in using other lies to avoid refunding the customer.
It's a shame that customers who pay to get what's described won't get their money back.
