"Investors" don't be fooled into…

"Investors" don't be fooled into parting with your hard earned money. Luxury Lodges is a rebrand of Seasons Holidays. Just look up other complaints on the Trustpilot platform for Seasons Holidays.
This should not be allowed to continue. When will these holiday companies start treating people with respect.

Just to clarify the situation

Just to clarify the situation. LUXURY LODGES are SEASONS HOLIDAYS PLC.
This is purely rebranding to avoid the terrible reviews posted on the SEASONS HOLIDAY REVIEWS which I personally consider misleading

We wont be back

Snainton luxury lodges are beautiful. There are 3 lodges, very well equipped with gorgeous furnishings, comfortable beds, lovely en-suite shower rooms and gorgeous views of the golf course. Very clean, lovely hot tub too.
However, when we arrived, we found complimentary ear plugs and laughed at this. When we went to bed, we understood why they had provided ear plugs. These lodges are situated on a very busy road and the traffic noise is unbearable. We had no sleep for two nights and ended up cutting our break short by a day because we were so irritable due to not sleeping.
Also, we are walkers and there are no safe pathways to walk without having to travel in the car.
Despite the lodge being beautiful on the inside, we won't be visiting again due to the cons outweighing the pros.

Thank you for leaving a review. As the Snainton luxury lodges are unfamiliar to us, we would be grateful if you could supply a little more information on your stay and we can look in to this further.

Birthday Break

Went to Clowance 3 Weeks ago with the girls on a much needed mini break to celebrate my birthday using my parents membership. Think they have a points system for the hot tub lodges? (They’ve been members for years)

Fab unit - spent most of our time in the hot tub. Didn’t have any plastic glasses when we checked in but it was sorted by reception. Nice weather 2 out of the 3 days. Didn’t eat much in the restaurant so can’t really comment on that - we went out for lunch in St Ives and Porthlevan and ate in on the evenings.

Site itself is beautiful, great pool and spa treatments – Debbie is AMAZING!!!

I’ve been here before with my parents previously and I’ve also done the site at Wales – Laugharne.

Trying the other Cornish one – Bude - next birthday – excited!

Be very careful with this company.

Luxury Lodges (or more commonly known as Seasons Holidays) May appear nice on the surface with plenty of paid for good press and eye catching photographs, but Don’t be fooled. This is not the standard of “luxury” that you will receive if you decide to part with your cash.

There is a a growing collection of angry members and investors who have had their money stolen by their parent company Seasons Holidays.

As the bad news started to spread it appears that they have opened up Luxury Lodges hoping that new potential investors would not put two and two together. Same people, same resorts, same addresses.

Please do your research and don’t believe the paid off Instagram influencers promoting this company.

Look for Seasons Holidays reviews for an accurate understanding and look at both companies accounts on Companies House.

Speak with a solicitor if unsure or if you feel pressured into investing.

The management doesn’t respect their clients

The company managing and marketing this resort specialise in ‘luxury’ breaks and holidays such as Seaham Hall and market lodges under the brand luxurylodges .com. In April 2019, this company bought in to Slaley Hall Lodges and Belton Woods Lodges.

Many of the timeshare weeks at these two resorts were pre-owned by people who had made a substantial commitment to purchase a week in the same lodge for 60 years. Dependent on when they bought, the number of bedrooms and the time of year, prices ranged for some into 10s of thousands of pounds and a lot of members had to take finance to secure a lifetime of holidays for them and their families.

Behind every purchase is a personal story and people who love their holiday weeks. Young couples bought to provide their children with a lifetime of holidays, older couples to give their grandchildren holidays, working couples saw the chance to take an annual week away from the grind and so it goes.

Our initial purchase was a single week at Belton Woods on my birthday week. Later we bought a second week there to take the grandchildren on holiday. As more grandchildren came along, we invested in two weeks in Slaley Hall Lodges so that we could take all of the grandchildren each year between the two resorts. We got married on our first week at Slaley Hall Lodges so that we could celebrate every anniversary there.

Since taking over at the resorts, Seasons Holidays have employed a high-pressure sales approach in trying to obtain the weeks held by independent owners. They have consistently offered a flexible Seasons package for sums well in excess of £10,000 lasting just 7-years in exchange for our fixed week/fixed lodge weeks that are valid until 2069. They are so desperate to obtain the weeks that Seasons have reduced the commitment over time until they were offering £1,000 and no commitments to those who would return their weeks in August 2021.

In effect, it has been suggested by timeshare owners they have been picking off the more vulnerable owners since becoming the management company for the resorts in 2019. One couple that we met at the resort in our first year there and spoke to every year on our annual holiday were persuaded to sell their week when one of them developed dementia, thus making their visits very difficult. A friend of ours, having lost his spouse, eventually met someone new and gave timeshare weeks as a wedding present to his new partner. Now suffering ill health, he has been persuaded to surrender his weeks and losing his investment.

Alongside, the high-pressure tactics, Seasons have openly and persistently ignored the constitution of the timeshare owners club and have isolated owners from their elected committee, have refused to hold democratic AGMs and have failed to publish accounts. Not only have the members seen no Club accounts since those to April 2019 but Seasons have failed to submit accounts to Companies House for three of their own limited companies. Members and independent committee members are still awaiting responses to questions about the 2019 accounts.

The remaining independent owners at Slaley Hall Lodges have now been given notice that a dormant company with assets of just £10 has somehow managed to obtain 10% of the weeks (approximately 190) and has proposed the dissolution of the club, thus depriving the remaining timeshare owners of their purchases. Amazingly, this dormant company was incorporated by the current trustees who were installed just this year by Seasons and against the wishes of the independent committee members. This company was incorporated just a month after Seasons bought in to the Slaley Hall Lodges resort and an identical company including Belton Woods in the name was incorporated at the same time. Belton Woods timeshare owners beware.

I have tried to work with this company as have many other timeshare owners at the resort. I have taken 2 breaks at their Whitbarrow resort and one at Clowance, but they appear to have no intention of working with the current independent timeshare owners.

Holidays here may well be luxury but would anyone with a conscience and a sense of decency want to be associated with a company that behaves in this way. I personally would not recommend booking a break with Seasons Holidays unless they start to respect their clients.

Taking advantage of the pandemic

I feel really compelled to write this review as I feel this  company is  taking advantage of the current pandemic and people should be made aware! Luxury lodges.com
have accommodation in the Lake District, Carmarthenshire and Cornwall, They are also Seasons holidays which is a type of time share. ( Also on here as seasons members). I holidayed at Burn Park Coastal retreat in October 2019 (not in school holidays)  and stayed in a summerleaze two bedroomed cottage. I paid £460  with a £25 discount for signing up to their newsletter and did get a welcoming bottle of champagne in the fridge  you get the champagne  if you book directly with them.
I  was looking to book October 2021 around the same time as I went before. The price has now gone up to £2095 if you book direct through burn park and if you book with Hoseasons it’s £2309!  I do like the accommodation at Burn Park and it is walking distance into Bude, although comfortable, I would struggle to describe it as 5 star luxury. Whilst I like Burn Park it is definitely not worth those prices at all at whatever time of year you go! For October this is a scandalous price for what you’re getting! I just wanted to make people aware because I think this is appalling. You  would expect the price to go up in two years you would not expect it to go up over 300%! I don’t go abroad I always holiday in England especially in Devon and Cornwall and I have a good grasp on the cost of accommodation especially for this time of year.
I feel they’re taking advantage of the fact a lot of people might be put off booking holidays abroad and are more likely to book holidays in England and probably don’t have a good idea of the cost of accommodation in England and I wouldn’t want to see anyone being taken advantage of!  You should be able to get a nice cottage/ lodge with a hot tub in Cornwall for between £350-£600 for this time of year we have stayed in some really nice places.
