Stay away from SharkDeck
I was initially intrigued at their SharkDeck model. Albeit it was a Beta unit, but their marketing was extremely misleading. The hope of it working for home and business penetration and testing was the capturing point. I have been dealing with SharkDeck issues for the past 3 weeks!
Upon receipt, it became evident the design was flawed by poor heat management. Additionally the walnutPi OS is prone to heat issues and subsequent system crashes, may have cause numerous other issues with systemd and dpkg files. Additionally any attempts to employ virtual ram like ZRAM are disastrous. Poor heat sink, multiple crashes, are all that await you. Any attempts at SDcard repair are likely to fail. Strongly recommend flashing to a Sandisk industrial SD that tolerates heat issues better. Customer support is poor at M5Shark. My observations posted and emailed to the company, simply revealed the company's avoidance of any questions--they reemphasized the buyer knew they were purchasing a Beta unit and they welcomed the critique for a better V2.0 for the future. They failed to respond to their comments on the potential for AI capabilities. Although the design, the concept of multiple ports , as well as additional IoT are what one needs for a good portable deck, do not consider this option. Probably better off flashing a system that can tolerate heat better like Armbian linux and limiting the CPU. I would also strongly consider changing to a 2,4 ram Raspberry board and add a fan to the back of the case. I am strongly considering TemU mini PCs with N150 processers given reasonable performance and ability to load a full working Linux system. Other options are Uconsole by ClockOrange. Lastly I took an old android phone, oem unlock for bootloading, and load fully functioning Kali Linux. Matched with a good alfa antenna, i can perform network penetrations with minimal headaches.
