I ordered multiple sizes of dresses and tops in the summer sale, happy with paying return postage for the sizes that I didn't care for because I was supporting a small, inclusive business. This was a huge purchase for me but I had been saving for some new clothes for some time and eyeing up Manners for literal years so I was pretty excited.
The clothing is as it looks on the website, rich saturated colours and truly thick stretch fabric with a really inclusive size range.
I noticed minor finishing and major quality issues on some items such as unclipped threads and a hem with multiple areas of missed stitching that will almost certainly lead to rolling and a dropped hem in the future.
Sadly the dresses don't work with my body shape (extreme pear, so my breasts were kind of flapping even in the smallest skirt I could reasonably wear) so I returned all but a few tops, expecting to see a refund for several hundreds pounds within a week or two.
I sent the returns on 1 August and had royal mail delivery confirmation at 10:10 on Monday 5th. On Thursday 8th I finally got confirmation from Manners that they were processing the returns.
I gave some grace because it was August and people take holidays, there's a bank holiday weekend slowing things down, but at the 4 week mark I'd had enough of my money being held hostage.
On 2nd September I emailed before business hours asking for an update. Finally heard back just before 7pm on the 4th that it was being processed.
Not only is this incredibly poor customer service, it's is in direct contravention of the consumer rights act (2015), which states refunds must be issued within 14 days of the business recieving the returned goods. The 3 days of lag time between receipt at warehouse and their processing of the package notwithstanding (though that in itself is a red flag about how the fullfilment warehouse operates), they were weeks outside of the mandated 14 days and apparently only instigated the actual refund process because I enquired directly. I wonder how long it would have been if I hadn't messaged?
Given other reviews dating back nearly a year, this a consistent administrative issue that Manners have failed to address. It's a shame because they are clearly trying to do great things with a very broken business model.
TL;DR? Inspect items carefully for quality, chase refunds immediately and aggressively.

The clothes make me feel more like myself than I have done over the last decade of massive life challenges. I feel freer and more self assured wearing manners, and more able to try different combinations and colours than I have done for my children's entire lifespans. I feel more self accepting in general lately, and manners has a part to play in that. I feel lifted up (in all ways) by the way the clothes fit and feel (and endure!), by the way they are presented in manners publicity on a variety of happy bodies, and by the way that Sally just 'is'. All hail the goddess(es)!

Love the dress. Very flattering cut. I always wear a bra. It's allowed. Honestly, my boobs are so heavy, only scaffolding can lift them. I'm not a fan of the swinging, bounce off the belly tit. But each to their own I say, and that's what this company is all about.

I have struggled for years to find comfortable, supportive bras and tops that suit my shape. I’ve always ended up with garments that are too big across the shoulders and around the waist in order to get clothes that fit around my HH/J cup bust. I have worn some sort of bra top around the clock for the last 37 years and as a result have grooves that are over an inch in depth in my shoulders. Surgery has never been an option for me because of health complications so I have looked frumpy or manly because of ill fitting clothes. Not any more. I’ve been braless but supported in the tops from Manners London with no painful straps, nor have I had back and neck pain. Sal is indeed the titty witch, I feel feminine and curvy in Manners London clothes. The fabric used is thick and stretches in all the right places to support and lift the girls in the most flattering way. The personal service you get from Sal and her team is exemplary, bigger companies could take a leaf out of her book!!! I asked for assistance before placing my order and heard back from Sal personally twelve hours later. She resolved my problem immediately. My order arrived quickly and was beautifully packaged in fully compostable wrapping. I don’t have anything bad to say about this company, I hope it thrives and has every success that is well deserved. If you purchase from Manners London I don’t think you will be disappointed, there is something for every size and shape and the garments represent good value for money. I will definitely purchase more from this shop very soon, Sal gave me some pointers what to look for to accommodate bigger boobs and I’m excited to try more tops and some of the dresses too!

Bought a bikini bottom that I think had some faults in the print, emailed them about it on july 24th, got an automated email back saying to wait 1 week for a reply. Today august 19th, more than 3 weeks later, I am still waiting for a reply, they give you 28 days to return your products, luckily I sent mine back last week before running out of time. I have paid for the return myself. I understand that is august but I haven’t seen anywhere that they are on holidays so is just bad customer service.

Have been following this brand for a few years and always fascinated by the ethos and effect of the clothes. Finally took the plunge and ordered a top and a swimsuit and OMG they are amazing! Definitely more than I’d usually pay for such items but already I feel like it’s so worth the investment - I’d rather have an amazing fitting and quality top and swimsuit than 4 x inferior versions I don’t feel good in! Amazing work

Love this brand so much! Excellent customer service - very swift delivery and exceptional quality clothing. It's like the dresses are literally saying 'I got you, girl'. I feel so held by the pieces, love my silhouette and the clothes are just so fun! Only complaint is missing out on snagging things in time before they sell out! I've ordered four times before and loved everything. Also pockets in dresses. LOVE pockets in dresses. I really enjoy being able to support a small (but very much growing) business like this.
