⭐ 1 Star – Sub-Standard Workmanship Resulting in Damp, Mould, and a Pending Claim
Maple Windows & Doors carried out window and door installations at my property as part of works arranged through Richmond Housing Partnership. What followed was an unacceptable combination of delays, poor workmanship, and long-term damage.
I took time off on three separate full days (9am–5pm) due to missed or rearranged appointments. When work finally started, the installer attended late for five days running, repeatedly stating his colleague had called in sick. I was then expected to physically assist with the installation, which is completely inappropriate.
Nearly 18 months later, after excessive heating costs, I discovered major draughts caused by the installation itself. The findings were alarming:
Windows installed approximately 6 inches too small
Gaps packed out with 4x2 timber instead of correctly manufactured units
A damaged rear door
A pantry window installation that is unfinished and clearly incompetent
The consequences are now visible. The defective installation has resulted in damp and mould within the property, which would have been entirely avoidable with competent workmanship.
A formal claim is now being prepared. The supporting evidence is extensive, clear, and fully documented. Photographs will be uploaded for transparency.
This review reflects facts, not opinion. Others should consider this carefully before engaging this company. I want to add photos and also say the installation man tom was disregarded and sacked by this courpt so called company

The guys are always incredibly helpful and polite – they have often gone out of their way to help me out with certain things and I am very appreciative of that. The turnaround time on the products they supply is excellent which has always been well-received by me because I am often in a rush! Simple and easy to deal with – sometimes I ask for a price and don’t get back to them for a long time but the guys never pressure sell me into a quick decision. Maple windows recently installed my windows, eight in total - three sliding sash windows to the front, the rest are casement windows.
