Faulty product design - poor resolution.
I had a very disappointing experience with Maria B jewellery due to a clear product design issue and poor resolution from the brand.
The earrings I purchased (worth PKR 9,000) are faulty in design—they do not sit properly on the ears and keep dropping, making them look awkward when worn. This is not a minor defect but a fundamental design flaw that should have been acknowledged by the company.
I live in Australia and raised this concern when I visited the Y Block store in Lahore. While the in-store staff, especially Mahek and Zain, were exceptionally courteous and genuinely tried to assist me, the head office refused to recognize it as a design fault or offer any form of compensation.
Globally, brands take responsibility for poor product design—whether through recall, exchange, or compensation. Unfortunately, that level of accountability was completely missing here. For a company of this scale, the cost of resolving a PKR 9,000 issue is minimal, yet the impact on customer trust and loyalty is significant. It’s disappointing to see a brand risk losing a genuine, repeat customer over something so preventable.
There is a clear need for better policies and customer-focused solutions—especially for clients who genuinely support and invest in the brand. Acknowledging design flaws and offering fair resolutions should be a basic standard.
I would strongly advise customers to always try jewellery in-store before purchasing and to be cautious when buying online.
That said, I truly appreciate the sincere efforts of Mahek and Zain, who did their best to help despite the limitations placed on them.

I contacted them multiple times via email and WhatsApp, providing photos and all the necessary evidence, and requested an exchange. Unfortunately, I received no response. They answered my call once, but after that, my number appears to have been blocked.
I have evidence of all communication and the product condition. Based on my experience, I would not recommend buying from Maria B, as the products are expensive but the quality does not match the price.

When I called the helpline to report that you sent the wrong or defective product, they refused to accept it and they said they sent it correctly. They told me that if you are not satisfied, you should return it, When I returned the suit, they told me that a cash refund is not possible and the gave a coupon to buy something from there Maria b again. This is unfair because this policyof refund was never clearly communicated to the customer beforehand.
Overall a bad experience not recommended at all.

I brought Maria B from USA and always liked their clothes quality, design and looks. I hardly had to contact their customer service as I always got them on time and with free shipping with $300 clothing purchases. One time I did asked them a question where they were rude with me with a generic answer but as soon as I told them I am from USA and made many purchases they were extremely apologetic. I was promised a 50% refund of the tariff amount on September 11, 2025, but after paying for my parcel and asking for the refund, nobody has answered my emails or messages.
On top of that, I had to return the order without them providing a return label — something retailers usually do when they want to make returns difficult for buyers. Now all I hear back is “we’ll let you know once we get the return” which is so frustrating and unprofessional.
This kind of behavior is unreliable and disappointing. I would not recommend dealing with them.

We have been old customers of Maria B, but unfortunately, my recent experience might be the last one because it was extremely disappointing. My aunty, who lives in the USA, has always loved wearing Maria B clothes. I ordered a few dresses for her and sent them online but the quality was terrible. The fabric and stitching were very poor, and the sizes were completely off a small size looked like a medium. Overall, it was a very bad experience.

“….To avoid the hassle of going back and forth, if you can manage to get this issue fixed at your end, we would like to offer you compensation of USD 29 in the form of a coupon which you can use for your next online purchase at Maria. B.
Please confirm so that we may proceed accordingly. Your cooperation will be highly appreciated.”
International shipping is only free when you shop usd 300 or above. And this coupon is just crumbs.

I ordered four different outfits. One outfit did not even match the size that was described online. It was unbearable. It was at least two size larger. Customer service was willing to help me change that. Even though it’s the same size as the other clothes, why was it so much larger? Another outfit had a completely wrong color that was different from online. Customer service also unwilling to do anything about that. If you try to do any returns, they ask you to pay for the return shipping, even though it’s their mistake. I saw other reviews that even when they paid for return shipping, they never received their money. So they lost even more money. I am disappointed in their quality control and customer service. I’ll never buy from them again.
Disappointed – Fraudulent Company
I had a terrible experience with this company. I purchased suits worth over £250, and they arrived in a black bin liner, smelling damp and unpleasant. When I complained, they suggested getting them dry-cleaned—an absurd response, especially without my consent. When I refused, they agreed to a return, yet it has been 1.5 months, and I am still waiting for my refund.
This is outright fraud. They are nothing but scammers who should be ashamed of their deceitful practices. It’s because of such unethical businesses that Pakistani brands struggle to gain trust globally. Maria B., shame on you!
I strongly urge others not to waste their hard-earned money on these dishonest thieves. Be warned and shop elsewhere!

Absolute ludicrous service. First they send the wrong size. I ordered 12-14 years and they send 2-4 year.
Then they asked to returned the item at my cost and they will reserve the size for me. Later they called and informed that the required size is not available and they will issue a 6 months validity coupon but unable to refund due to company’s policy.
Insane to get this service by such so called big brand.

I bought a black winter coat on Sunday Feb 23rd, 2025 for around 12000 PKR. I wore this on my trip for a couple of days and the coat is already covered in lint. (The stuff is not wool that usually has this issue). When I emailed/whatspp customer service about it they said its not their concern, they have delivered it and its not their problem what happens after I use it. I wonder who else's concern this must be? They totally disowned their product and took no responsibility for it. Brands like Breakout/Outfitters will immediately offer a return or exchange if their product has such issue even after use.
I am so disappointed on Maria.B/M.Basic, such a big brand yet such low quality products and pathetic customer service.
