I had such a great experience with Marie Makes! Marie made an incredibly cool Chelsea themed cake for my brother 🤩 She really listened to what I wanted which was a personalised Chelsea Happy Birthday logo, was super easy to work with and brought the idea to life perfectly!🙌🏽

The cake looked amazing and tasted even better! We went for a cookies and cream flavour and it was absolutely delicious!! Everyone loved it 😋

I’d definitely recommend Marie Makes to anyone looking for a custom cake that looks fantastic and tastes yum. I’ll 100% be ordering another cake from her in the future.

She managed to fit me in despite a tight calendar to make an awesome cake for my wife’s birthday.

When it arrived on time in a custom cake box, seeing my wife’s face was the icing in the cake for sure.

Great communications, really wanted to achieve exactly what we wanted. When the cake was presented at my wife’s birthday meal, totally exceeded any expectations I had, and was the highlight of the meal.

Marie made my husbands birthday cake and it was fantastic. The cake was his work van and it was a true resemblance. Attention to detail was spot on, even to the little paint pot that was added. The cake was very tasty.Communication between me and Marie was easy, professional and timely.Would highly recommend Marie to others.

Celebrating my wife's 70th. Marie asked for some theme ideas and sent some initial concepts. Then she turned-out a wonderful bespoke cake that exceeded expectations. The creativity was superb and the quality of the bake was deeply rich but not overly sweet. The whole family loved it - my wife especially. Thanks Marie. :)

So very sad and disappointed with this company. I was super excited that Marie said she could make a Bespoke cake for me. Only communicates via email never answers the phone, i was ok with this, I didn't question the price, paid a £50 deposit, then recieve and email saying FULL remaining payment due 7 days BEFORE i even see the end product. I emailed back as again no point phoning, asking if it was possible to ensure my satisfaction, to retain some of the remaining balance as a guarantee and peace of mind. I also added that I had no doubt about her talent but this cake was in my opinion technically difficult. I recieved no response and then the next thing I know I am getting notified that my deposit has been refunded. I email again and recieve a reply that she does not feel comfortable doing my cake. This has left me having to now find another baker while I am working in Europe, all because she didnt want to converse with me about her business model. I asked if she had a decorator in and they wanted all the money before completion and before seeing the final result, would she be happy, I have as yet had no response. I am sure she is a great cake maker, but her business model is very poor and her communication and customer service interactions are terrible, she sacrificed £250 because she disnt want to answer a customer enquiry/concern. Such a shame.

Marie was unable to apply to messages when i did message her as she was unavailable, as soon as she was able to reply I got a response from her straight away.

Ordered at really short notice - not only did we get the flavour requested the decorations were really on point.
