I found myself in my late 30's finishing up a degree I started 10 years earlier...I forgot anything I previously learned and was not only struggling with the material, I was struggling with my OChem professor. I searched every where for resources to help me understand the material and that's when I found MOC. MOC broke OChem down into bite size nuggets of information and explained it in such a way that it was so easy to understand and comprehend. MOC isn't just another random website that's not monitored and just run by a computer program..a REAL PERSON created MOC and runs it and answers email about any questions you may have with the material or website. I was also charged a month after class ended and I emailed and he gave me a full refund in his own words "Congrats on passing OChem, I'm refunding the charge and canceling your subscription because you don't need us anymore." What an amazing attitude and awesome resource for struggling college students or anyone just interested in the topic!

This website got me through organic chem in college, and I also came back to it for the MCAT. It breaks down everything very clearly and simply. Very useful for learning mechanisms. Also really helpful for other orgo topics like NMR. If I was stumped on something or I needed to learn something completely new, this is what I would use to learn it. Also very reasonably priced and easy to cancel when you don't need the subscription anymore.

Incredibly helpful resource. I'm generally frugal when it comes to finding resources for school, but paying for access to some of the additional materials on this site was well worth it.

This site is the reason I passed O chem with a good grade!! The resources and practice questions are beyond helpful and really help to ingrain any fuzzy topics into your brain for the exam.

Extremely valuable tool for learning chemistry- not just around exams. I found it so useful for lab prep and generally understanding the material presented in class.

The website was great, it wasn't over complicating or anything, it gives the resources for O-chem directly. The multitude of questions and types of questions they offer can help any students prepare for anything thrown at them in O-chem.

Super super helpful. Probably the only reason I got an a in orgo. The practice problems had a nice range in difficulty and were easy to follow with the explanations provided!! Would recommend

It was easy to use. And the information was really detailed and easy to understand. This is a really good platform for understanding organic chemistry.

MOC helped me learn organic chemistry basics in just one month and I was able to pass my exam just because of this site. I really recommend this website if you have one of those teachers that just can't explain the information properly in a way it where it clicks for you. Even youtube couldn't help me. I love that everything is explained very narrowly and precisely. The way reactions and examples of them are presented helped me recognise the patterns and understand how OC works very quickly. I don't need chemistry in my studies anymore, but this site is probably even more helpful if chemistry is your major.

I used this website for my organic chemistry 2 course, but it was also helpful when reviewing old concepts from orgo 1. My professor barely taught us anything but I was able to teach the entire course to myself using just this as my resource. Thank you so much for the simplified and clear explanations and diagrams. I ended with a 95 in the class :)

I really appreciated both the clear explanation of the mechanisms and the many guided exercises to practice with. It's a much clearer and more intuitive approach to studying organic chemistry compared to the methods I had used before. It helped me through 2 exams I had been struggling with for a long time.

As a Chemistry teacher, I’m extremely particular about the resources I use and recommend to my students. I mainly used the notes to revise for my University exams. They were extremely helpful in covering topics I needed a second explanation for. The diagrams are amazing and help convey the information well. I haven’t seen another online set of notes like this online. I used it for 3 months and would definitely recommend.

I teach Organic Chemistry and have recommended this website to the students as a supplementary material for at least 7 years!
The website is an excellent resource - this is the only website I recommend to students whether they are learning intro org in gen chem or Org 1 and 2. Each topic is thoroughly-researched with original literature cited, but the content is not presented in a dry, jargon-y way. It is updated regularly with novel insights. The topics are well organized, the figures are clear and beautiful, and challenging concepts/mechanisms are broken down into understandable parts. James also ensures that the concepts are contextualized - why should students learn this reaction? Finally, apart from the content being excellent, the website is also very entertaining. I love the cultural references, history of science detours, and, especially, the stereochemistry cat!
