The boys from Mates Group Removals were amazing made my life so much easier, they were very professional, respectful and efficient. Got the job done in no time made the process so much easier. Also big thank you to Yousif and Nash for the amazing help and professionalism they made the process very smooth and quick.

I've used a lot of removalist companies, so I know what to expect, and I won't be using these guys again. They were incredibly slow. It took over 3 hours to load furniture from a 3 bedroom house and approx. 10 boxes into the truck from a single-storey house into the nearby driveway (which included quite a few rest breaks). Then it took 25 mins to drive 3.5km, then another 3 hours to unload it into a storage unit. When asked why they were charging until 2pm when it was only 1:30pm, he said "well, we haven't left yet". They also tried to charge for 2 heavy items but weren't able to identify what the heavy items were just that "There's lots of heavy stuff." They finally agreed to remove that charge. They also quoted prices that didn't include GST so that got added at the end.

Nothing was damaged, they were polite, arrived on time but I'm pretty sure we were taken for a ride. If you're going to use this company, get a set price up front.

We went with this provider based on product review feedback but not a great experience. We had our $1999 one year old LG oled tv destroyed by incorrect transport and were offered $1200 compensation. Our near new $1500 mountain bike was damaged by being incorrectly strapped down. A $1000 handmade Ironbark coffee table was broken into pieces and then superglued back together. We had Fragile labelled boxes crushed under heavy boxes despite asking the removalist to be careful about this. We are out of pocket at least $800 for damage to our contents. The follow up phone call was also disappointing, with the removalist trying to get us to accept $200 for damage caused if we remove our negative review. They were nowhere near as good as the reviews led us to believe. Don't trust their feedback.

The boys done a very good job moving my stuff everything was very well packed and wrapped. Would definitely recommend. The best in the business.

Terrible experience. DO NOT USE. The bad google reviews are being deleted and full of fake good reviews. Do not trust them.

Initially we were booked for a Monday, and after the timeframe was up we called to enquire and was told the truck had been dispatched. Was told I’d get a call back with ETA.

I follow up half hour later for an update on ETA, and was advised that a worker had an injury but they’d swapped out the worker and would be there shortly. An hour later we received a text that they now wouldn’t make it until 4.30pm- 5.30pm (having been booked for 11am-2pm timeframe) or we could reschedule to the Tuesday at 7am. We understand things happen so we accepted the Tuesday time.

Fast forward to the Tuesday. We had a small two bedroom apartment which took them 4.5 hours to load (previous removalists we’ve used took half the time). We were a ground floor apartment and they could’ve used the balcony, but instead chose to be the slowest service and use the lift to go half a floor. (Again our previous removalists did this and it was super efficient)

Boxes marked delicate have been crushed, small boxes placed on the dolley and big ones on top (where’s the logic?), one of our $600 electric sit / stand desks has a scratch all along the top (not something that can be buffed out), a wheel broke off a cart, the BBQ has been damaged and we’re still uncovering items damaged in the move).

On arrival at our new house, given the time it had taken them already we decided to have them unload the boxes in front of our house and we would load it ourselves into the place. We had them bring our bigger pieces of furniture but we’ve handled the rest. They also dented and chipped paint off the wall going up the stairs. They weren’t able to carry our bed frame up the stairs so asked us to dismantle it when they attempted to take it up the stairs and they’d take the pieces.

On booking this job, I was asked how I’d heard of them and I stated that my brother in law was due to move with them in a couple weeks, and said he could offer us a discount rate of $70 per half hour and a 1 hour call out fee. I had a family member request a quote for the same and was quoted $68 per half hour without this supposed “discount”.

We reached out to customer service half way through the day to let them know of our issues, and after back and forth calls and emails they offered 1/2 hour off. Wow. Made such a difference for the 9.5 hours of work they’ve charged us for. Again, a SMALL 2 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom house.

Absolutely terrible experience. Run far away from them - this has been the most stressful move of our lives and we’ve moved multiple times. Slow, unfriendly and frankly incompetent removalists.

Mates group removals sent out two very diligent workers in Norman and Martin to move the last of my furniture into a storage unit .. amazed at how well they stored goods even leaving space for further goods to be stored

Amazing service, lovely workers they came on time, didn’t waste a minute very fast and efficient. very reasonable prices couldn’t recommend them enough.

I was quoted $65/½ half, minimum of 2hrs and a $70 call out fee and $65 for more than 20 stairs.
The removalists showed up and instantly started changing the price. $180 now for the stairs (18 stairs) and $170 for walking to the truck, on top of the original quote.
In my opinion and experience - con men. I cancelled the job on the spot.
They lingered on my property for 30minutes till I texted him in Arabic to leave my property.
Wouldn't recommend.

I had 3 guys over to pack and transport to new apartment today, 14th October. They were very helpful, smiles on their faces and very accommodating. I would definitely use this company again.

Majority of the good reviews on google are fake . They took my google review down so I’ll put in here -
Workers VERY unprofessional and slow on purpose ( they charge by 1/2 hour) . They add additional fees that weren’t initial quote and threaten to hold your items and say you’ll pay double to get them out ( quoted by James ) if you don’t pay extra. The worst part ? One of the workers asked my partner if he could buy some
Of his medical cannabis … I’m guessing that is why they took my review down. Spoke to office worker James who defended his coworkers with the line “we’re all human”and said he wasn’t going to talk to them about their behaviour when I asked . All in all the worst company I’ve ever hired . Hopefully this review saves you from hiring them

The workers were fantastic. They were clear and excellent to deal with. They also were great at placing a priority on our move to get a truck as soon as one became available. They were efficient, friendly and treated our belongings with great care and made the move so smooth. We can’t thank them enough and would we definitely recommend them to anyone looking to move.

Amazing customer service highly recommend, I’ll definitely use them again.
