Good customer care

I bought a pair of sandals that looked great in picture. Wanted to love them. Unfortunately they did not fit properly and the leather ( or whatever material it was ) was hard as a rock and extremely uncomfortable and there is no way I can wear them. I contacted them immediately to find out how to return them for refund (nothing in bag) and was told per their policy no refunds unless product was defective but would give me a store credit of $30 for a future purchase. Why would I buy anything from them again site unseen? What a total rip off! Besides not fitting properly they hurt! Why would I purchase anything from them again? I hate being ripped off and the sandals were expensive. As I said BUYER BEWARE!

Mawu Africa kept their promise to deliver the most beautiful hand-made-with-care Kayamba that I've ever seen, and they made no excuses, they didn't need to coz they're professionals. They packaged my Kayamba safely for cross-county delivery, and even included a personalised note, and a very meaningful gift at no extra charge. And through all this they were open to my requests for delivery options because they're awesome! They communicated professionally and reached out frequently with updates to keep the conversation going. It's funny this should really be the norm but it's the exception, and I'm so happy that I found Mawu Africa coz they're looking after their customers.

Excellent quality, customer service and quick delivery.

I ordered a beaded mirror from Mawu Africa. I was worried about not being able to see the item quality, specifically how well the beadwork was done, and ordering from Kenya (which I haven’t done before). I am pleased with the product, delivery (item was securely packaged) and customer service. I would order from them again.

I order 2 pair of earrings. 1 pair came perfectly fine. The second one came but was totally different than what was on the site. I contacted them. I sent pictures that showed the very clear difference and they blamed it on a "slight variation" from the natural process of the artisans handcrafting it.... but what I received wasn't just a "slight variation" ...I ordered an earring that was suppose to be a black & white elongated trapezoid wrapped in a copper swirl...What I got was an all black tear drop wrapped in a copper swirl. it wasn't a slight difference...its was a total difference in shape and color. I didnt ask or want a refund. I would have loved the gesture of a discount code to reorder and a guarantee that the earrings I received were more like the pictures since they are so handcrafted. Their website was good looking and very easy to navigate , all the adjustments I asked for on my order were done ! I received my delivery less than 30 minutes after they said they were done. Last but not least I received a small thoughtful gift with my order 😊
