I cannot recommend MDD Hosting
I signed up for MDD Hosting services and made the payment. Then I was told that the payment must be manually approved. After a few minutes, they said it was approved and that I must enter my credit card details again and make the payment a second time, and that the first payment would be refunded. I made the payment a second time and I got an error message. I told Tomoyo that I was not comfortable making the payment twice. Right away Tomoyo asked me if I would like to cancel my services! I was surprised. And so I cancelled.

We do acknowledge that your experience was a poor one. We can do better.
The error message that appears when your order has been flagged for manual review has been updated to state that the payment was canceled and refunded and that it may take a few hours to a few days for this to reflect at the bank. This should be clearer for anyone in the future that doesn't pass the automatic anti-fraud checks.
The issue you had making the payment after we accepted your order was a known bug in the billing system. The chat operator you were working with should have advised you to add your payment method separately from trying to pay the invoice, but forgot to do so. We're human and unfortunately not infallible, although we do our best.
What happens is that when we accept an order that was flagged for manual review, you have to separately add your payment method and then view and pay the invoice. If you attempt to add your payment method on the invoice page—it fails. We have reported this bug to our billing software vendor, but do not have an ETA on resolution.
We did also add an extra hook to the billing system that, if you view an invoice and click "Pay Now" with "Credit Card" selected and you have no payment methods on file—it will advise you to add a payment method and provide a direct link to the Payment Method area of the billing system. This will take the human element out of the process - where we could forget to tell you to do this - and forces it by default.
The TL;DR is that we acknowledge your complaints and have taken action to ensure nobody else experiences the same poor experience in the future.
Sorry for the poor experience.
Just floored at the excellent service
I am just floored at the excellent service from MDDHosting. One of my websites seemed to be lost forever - other hosts (inMotion & Hostgator) could not do it and MDD did it overnight. That speaks volumes and I am now a customer for life. A huge thank you to Michael, Eric, Chris, and the rest of staff.

Simply the best
As one who has developed Web sites for family, friends, and non-profits for 25 years, I feel extraordinarily lucky to have discovered MDDHosting seven years ago.
Since then I've experienced exceptional service and support.
Seriously: I've had problems crop up with my code and add-in software that could have left me struggling with server esoterica for hours, only to have MDDHosting staff come up with a fix in a five-minute chat.
The nature of my works means I have a half-dozen in-house servers running constantly, all of which give me fits at times. But I have no worries about my Web sites: they are on MDDHosting servers that have never failed me.
I cannot say enough good things about MDDHosting. I recommend them to your with my highest regard.

Been with them for 7+yrs. They have Always replied quickly + solved every problem we've had with our website. They will reply via your email or you can go to their site personally.

Every single time I contact MDD support with a question about my website, I get an incredibly fast response that directly addresses my question. The issue I asked about tonight was answered literally within 2 minutes. MDD support is always fast and super helpful, and they go above and beyond to offer suggestions that reduce the chance that I'll run into a problem again. They're simply the best.

5 years and then some!
Was introduced to MDD over 5 years ago. Started with the cheapest Shared hosting packages I could afford at the time but the stellar customer service and the confidence that MDD will have your back should you screw up, made me stay all these years. Eventually now my business is completely reliant on MDD's services and we only recommend the same to our clients as well.

Very pleased
Have been their customer for around 9 years. Support is consistently super fast and has been for the whole 9 years. I usually get a reply in a couple of minutes (yes... a couple of minutes) which typically solves my problem.
Our website is very responsive, the prices are good.
The one time (in 9 years...) something bad happened they handled it great, if anything I feel even safer now.
We used to use bigger and more famous hosts and it was a constant source of anxiety, as something was always going wrong and support would take days and usually reply with generic nonsense.
I mean I know it's a marketing cliche, but whatever: moving to mddhosting did make our hosting experience completely stress free. Can't recommend them enough.
