Bad Customer Service
I purchased a MarshMellow comforter 3 months ago. After washing the comforter, explicitly following the washing instructions, the comforter lost its shape and the "marshmallow-like" or Squishmallow-esque softness of the comforter. Customer service was rude and refused to stand behind their product. They requested pictures of the comforter, pictures of the tag, pictures of the washer and dryer I used, and asked me to explain in great detail repeatedly how I washed and dried the comforter. For reference, I washed and dried the comforter at the laundromat using the largest front-load washer available on cold setting and set the dryer on low heat. At one point, I was accused of not following the directions and that the state of the comforter was my fault. Their response after several communications back and forth was to go back to the laundromat and wash and dry the comforter again using dryer balls or tennis balls. One communication offered a 20% discount code on my next purchase but I was never given the code! On a positive note, before washing the comforter, it was amazing!

This company claims that the pillow you purchased is the best pillow for your money. It’s nothing but an over filled foam pillow that is very uncomfortable and it’s not designed for side sleepers. Then they give you excuses when you want to return the pillows and pillow case which is a very cheap pillow case , they charge you for a return print out that you have to use for FedEx. I’m sure they didn’t use FedEx for the delivery for my package because it had holes in the package and it looked like it was thrown around in whatever shipping company they used. Most likely they used usps who doesn’t care about the contents of the package
Horrific customer service, false warranty guarantees, bad quality items
I placed over $600 worth of orders to this company in a 2 month time frame. I loved most of the items I received, however, there were extreme delays with shipping and I did not receive all of the items I ordered. When I outreached to customer service for a refund on the item I did not receive, they began an endless loop of demanding evidence from me and not responding to my request in any way. Additionally, I purchased their comforter because it was touted as having a 1 year warranty and being machine washable. I followed the exact washing instructions and the entire comforter was destroyed in 1 wash. I thought I might have received a lemon, so I outreached and requested a replacement or store credit, given that I followed their care instructions and had the $200 comforter for only 1 month before it was completely destroyed. I have now been engaged in a terrible customer service email battle with them where they keep making egregious demands for things like pictures of the inside of my washing machine (which I provided), but that wasn't good enough...they then requested serial number and model numbers etc for it. I have requested to speak with a supervisor several times and all of my requests and complaints have essentially been ignored. I am beyond frustrated and have filed a BBB complaint against them. Buyer beware! Do not support this awful scam of a company.

Extremely poor customer service
I purchased a Cloud Align pillow and after trying it a few times, it wasn't right for me. I had read their return policy before purchasing, but their tactics are to be very uncooperative, defensive, I had to give them every bit of proof for why I wanted to return it. From the $43, I got only $18, and some BS about a ShopPay refund, that I can't find to cash out. It's a total scam, their return policy is bogus.

DO NOT WASTE your $$$$$! I waited for months to get this $140 stupid blanket! With in a few days it started pilling and shedding little white balls all over the place! It is so not soft because it is covered in the shitty little fuzz balls. The customer service is horrible! They made the sell and its impossible to get a refund or replacement. Seriously???? I have had this blanket for less than 3 weeks and it is unusable. I have been going back and forth with their customer service for weeks! Such a waste of time. So now I will make it a priority to let as many people as I can know that MELLOW is a horrible company and don't waste your money for their shitty products!

If I could rate my experience zero stars I would. This company is a huge scam and should be shut down. I ordered a comforter from them on April 11. After not hearing any information regarding shipping for a month, I reached out to the company. Their AI customer support replied and offered to try to ship it again and add in a free pillow. This was A MONTH AGO and I have received no product or shipping confirmation. I am now arguing with the company to get my money back as I do not trust their company can supply any type of product. DO NOT BUY.

Do not buy. Any issues the flip the script and blame you. I find it contradictory and deeply concerning that you continue to deny a return under the 30-night risk-free trial, especially given your team's own determination that the comforter's condition "does not qualify as a manufacturing defect" and exhibits "NORMAL wear and tear rather than defects in materials or workmanship." If the item is indeed *not* defective, as you have confirmed, then its eligibility for a return based on customer satisfaction and personal comfort expectations should be precisely what your 30-night risk-free trial is designed to address. The core promise of "If it's not the best sleep you've had, send it back, no hard feelings" directly applies to my situation, as the comforter simply did not meet my comfort needs. To suggest that an initial inquiry into potential damage, which ultimately found no defect, now precludes a return based on comfort is an interpretation of your policy that feels disingenuous and unjust.
This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and has significantly eroded my trust in your brand and policies. It is particularly disheartening because, even while attempting to resolve the issue with the first comforter, I placed a second order for additional items – a pillow, a sheet, and a different comforter (as the first one was proving too hot). This was a testament to my initial belief in your products and the stated risk-free trial. Which is why I placed a second order for the “cool” comforter.
Worse customer service possible

I ordered the body pillow and 2 pillows. Hoping for a good experience. Received 2. Body pillow is good BUT it's meant for smaller people. I'm not a giant but at 5'8 it's just a awkward leg pillow. It's not long enough to be hugged unless you hug from your waist. As for the pillow I received. I thought it was the low loft one, because when you lay your head on it. You feel like you are laying at an angle. Like your body is higher than your head. I woke up with the worst spine pain. Which I don't normally get. Turns out, that's the high one. YAY...Knowing that the next one is even lower. Yuck. Didn't receive the 2nd pillow. The 2 that did show up came in seperate boxes on different days. Pulled them out of the boxes and bags they come in and threw those away. Who's going to keep that for a while? Now that the 3rd one hasn't shown up, they wanted pictures of the shipping lables etc etc. They did see that I never received the pillow. I told them I didn't like them and to see if I could get a refund on the one that didn't ship. I now have 2 new emails asking for shipping lables and of course I have to copy and paste the previous emails. They did mention I could return the other 2 in the previous emails. They didn't offer a shipping label, but they would charge me $15.00 return fee for each item. I will be throwing out these piles of crap. Thanks Mellow! ::Update:: The pillow I didn't receive, I asked for a refund rather them send it out. Their exact words are. Regarding missing items, our policy allows us to issue a replacement rather than a refund.. You want to send me a pillow I don't want. Just take the money ya crap company.

Do not recommended. Blankets do not last and they will not last. After the first wash, the comforter ripped, even though I followed normal care expectations and even checked my washer size. When I reached out to customer service, I was told it was not considered a manufacturer’s defect and that they could not offer a full refund or replacement. I was instead offered a partial discount/promo option, which didn’t feel like a fair resolution for an item that failed so quickly—not to mention they only offered me the same discount they are freely giving out online anyways.
I understand that companies have policies, but when a product rips after the first wash, I would expect better support — especially for a customer who has previously purchased from the brand and spoken highly of it. This experience definitely changed how I feel about ordering from Mellow again.
And update: all of the other blankets I’ve gifted have similar problems. They falsely state that you can machine wash it—but they have all been torn apart.

UPDATE: useless response. MellowSleep claims they requested additional information through Trustpilot, but I have received no such request. It’s a canned reply. They already had photos, order details, and a full description of the issue.
The real issue is that my comforter tore/disintegrated while being washed according to the provided instructions and in a professional washer with no agitator. The company later cited a “commercial-grade washer” requirement that was never disclosed before denying the claim. Do not buy from Mellow Sleep. They use deceptive marketing and refuse to stand behind their products when they fail!!!

I purchased a comforter in November based on their explicit advertising that the product is"easy to clean at home" with "no need for commercial machines or dry cleaning."
However, when washed exactly as directed, the comforter completely pulled apart. When I contacted customer service, their frontline support flatly contradicted their own website marketing. They told me the comforter cannot actually be washed at home, and they completely refused to offer a refund, replacement, or solution. This company uses misleading care instructions to make sales, then changes the rules after they have your money. Their customer service is terrible, and they do not honor their own advertised product claims! Save your money and buy from a reputable brand that actually stands by its quality.

By far one of the worst scummy fake marketing online so called web store, they won’t deliver your order in full, The order won’t come on time, they say “hassle free” returns but want to proceed by double charging you to return and call it a “RESTOCKING FEE” for pillows and covers laughable nonsense. They refuse to actually solve the problem just go in circles with emails for weeks. I can’t believe they are able to operate TO THIS DAY!!!

Horrible. Ordered a comforter, waited over a month ( while receiving emails saying my order was on the way) only to discover after waiting over a month & reaching out to customer service that my item had never shipped & no one knew when or if it ever would. I found the same item ( exact same brand & all) at Amazon & got it 48 hrs later. The comforter itself is amazing. Enough so that against my better judgement I ordered the mattress topper...aaaaannnnd it has not nor will it ever arrive. Do not walk away from this company, RUN.

Returns Made Frustratingly Incomprehensible

After following their sizing guidance and ordering during a promotion, I was told I’d lose most of my $39 pillow to a $15 fee and return shipping—and then need to spend roughly another $50 to reorder the correct one. What should have been a straightforward swap turned into an expensive, time-consuming process, making this one of the most frustrating return experiences I’ve had.
Never shipped, terrible customer service
I only received part of my order, the other half was never shipped. Customer service responded to my first email saying they would have it shipped within 10days. After that timeframe was not met I emailed them again and they never responded. I emailed them a third time asking for a refund and they never responded, and the order has still not shipped. I had to dispute the charge through my credit card company.
I wanted to love this Marshmallow…but it is not as advertised
I wanted to love this Marshmallow comforter. I liked the puffy factor and especially was won over by this specific claim they make on the product description: Heat Adaptive- Cozy In Winter, Cool In Summer. Sadly, this is the opposite of our experience. We get so hot under this comforter that we all have to kick it off and sleep without a comforter when trying to use it. It is so heavy it constantly slides off the end of the bed. It only has tie spots in the four corners, not sides, so it slides totally to one side of duvet cover, leaving half the bed with a flat empty duvet cover and the other have double stuffed. We feel like we will tear our duvet cover when trying to pull it up at night. I contacted the company to let them know that while I was out of the 30 day window at 60 days, I had been through several family medical crises and just did not have the bandwidth to deal with the comforter during that stressful time as I was focused on the health and wellbeing of my loved ones. I shared my actual experience with the comforter. They said they would escalate to a higher level of customer service given my situation. I never heard back. After repeated inquired they finally sent me a canned reply that it's after 30 days and there is nothing they can do to help me. I won't be making any other purchases from this company. So disappointing.
