Unable to contact to confirm scooter delivery date
I ordered and paid the deposit for a mobility scooter on 9 December 2022.
I paid the balance before Christmas and was told that the scooter was being unpacked and confirmed that a different colour was okay.
I rang just after new year and was told that delivery had been delayed, but it would be either 6 or 9 of January when it would be delivered
I have not received any further calls and have been unsuccessful in contacting any of the company telephone numbers which are all saying that there is a fault on the telephone system which will be rectified today (9 January).
Wednesday 11 January - the telephone numbers now give a message stating the technical problems will be resolved by next Tuesday !!

It was a quick information visit to checkout mobility scooters at the Exeter branch. The assistant there (Caron I think) was very helpful indeed taking a lot of her time giving us a balanced view of pros and cons of the various models. Thank-you!

We bought my wife's scooter roughly September 2021 their agent mislead us because recently we discovered that my wife by law is not allowed to travel on scooter whilst the car is in motion she had her left leg amputated so there is no way that she can get off scooter only by hoist which is situated in the house.I,am now taking legal advice regarding this matter.
Middletons sent me a “M class super…
Middletons sent me a “M class super light” scooter in a very nice red, last October. A very nice chap sent it and gave us a low down on how it worked ect. Now for the problem, it should come with a large 30amp battery, this one only came with a standard battery giving a much shorter range between charging. I gave Middletons a ring and they agreed to replace the Battery ASAP and after a few weeks a new 30amp Battery arrived, BUT I was unsure that the charger I had was correct as it’s for the smaller systems battery. I phoned Middletons again and asked them about the charger I have for the small battery, they told me after checking with their experts I have to have a larger size charger, and not to use the charger I have on the bigger battery system. The nice lady on the phone told me the new charger is on its way, this was in late October 2022 and here we are in Jan 2023 still waiting. In my last call of many calls to them in December they told me there was none but some are coming from the manufacturer. Having a Battery with no charger is as much good as a clock to a cow! Is my new battery any good now as I should charge the battery even if it’s not being used. What should I do????

Very disappointed
Very disappointed. Scooter delivery promised within 2 weeks. Now nearly 6 weeks later and Middletons still unable to confirm when delivery will take place. This was a big purchase for my in-laws. Very poor communication from the company. Looks like we will have to collect the scooter from store on their behalf.

Caron was exceptional today!
We were welcomed by an extremely helpful kind member of staff-Caron, in the Exeter Branch.
Absolutely nothing was too much trouble.
Caron was very knowledgeable about the products of interest, so passionate about getting the right chair for my client. She was patient, kind and funny! She made us feel so welcome! Thank you Caron - one of the best!!!!

i was supposed to receive a battery…
i was supposed to receive a battery from you but was told by customer services that i had received it the courier person said that he had put a tick on the form and was supposed to have handed it to me this is impossible because to have had access to me he would have had to ring the intercom on my building and this did not happen i do not know who this person was who was supposed to have delivered it to me but i would like to point out that this is fraud and unless i get a copy of this delivery note then i have no option but to go to the police because this is fraud and i am not going to be accuses of fraud by you or this company where you get the battery from so unless i see a copy of the delivery note i will have no option but to go to the police you can contact me on 0203 561 5447

5* for Steve at Brierley Hill store - 0* for next step after order!
My elderly parents visited the Brierley Hill store to find a replacement recliner chair for my father after a terrible experience with DFS. Steve helped them select a suitable new chair and both of my parents could not be happier with the friendly 5* service they received from him.
However, the same cannot be said about the head office team whose attitude to customer service (“computer says no”) is annoying when trying to pay the remaining balance and arrange delivery. After getting nowhere, a call to Steve at the local branch and he was able to sort out payment swiftly - thanks again to Steve!
Tip: If ordering on behalf of an elderly relative, make sure to include anyone who may need to deal with this on their behalf to be put as a named person on the order/account, otherwise head office point blank refuse to discuss any aspect of the order, even to arrange a delivery! A bit bonkers and extremely frustrating!
Update 12 Dec: ridiculous reply re customer data protection - his wife simply wanted to settle the outstanding balance and arrange the delivery. Your operative point blank refused to talk to anyone other than my father who’s name was on the order. Given he is deaf and recovering from a stroke, this was impossible. It upset his 83 year-old wife and I had to make three further calls to sort it out and we’re still waiting on a delivery date. Either your sales team needs to highlight a second name is required at point of sale or you work more flexibly to ensure you can get your products to your customers in a timely fashion without causing such an unnecessary fuss. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.

Coffee and chat followed with a good Black Friday discount on a top of range model. There was now undue sales pressure just excellent informative guidance between different types of scooter. Sadly the one we really liked proved just too big for my wife's small car, so purchase delayed. As Arnold Swarzeneger said "We'll be back"

An exellent experience in purchasing a mobility scooter.
I purchased a mobility scooter today. Initially I was highly sceptical but the demonstrated ease of use and the stability of the product convinced me. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the scooter. There is a practice track inside the store on which I was able to try 2out the model and I was then invited to drive on the car park. We were advised by Rhoda and both she and her coleague were extremely welcoming and helpful. They certainly knew their products. The entire experience was superb.
