The Fanatics/Mitchell and Ness Nightmare Continued
My nightmare continued from my June 18 review of Fanatics and its Mitchell & Ness brand.
On June 23, I was finally able to connect with the Mitchell & Ness verification department, and my order was reinstated. The verification representative, Harvey, acknowledged all of the frustration I had experienced and promised that, because of the inconvenience, the $10 shipping charge would be refunded once the order shipped and my American Express card was charged. His exact instructions were: "Just call customer service and have them look at the order notes. I documented everything."
On June 25, after my order arrived and my American Express card had been charged, I called Fanatics customer service. After once again going through the AI screening process, I explained my previous conversation with Harvey. As you might expect, the customer service representative told me there were no notes authorizing a refund.
Instead of honoring the commitment I had been given, the representative offered me a 30% discount coupon on a future purchase. I declined because I wasn't asking for a favor—I was asking Fanatics to honor the promise its own verification department had made. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was told that wasn't possible. Instead, I would have to email the Mitchell & Ness department and wait for someone to contact me.
What should have been a simple purchase for my grandson turned into multiple phone calls, repeated explanations, contradictory information between departments, and another broken promise. Based on my experience, Fanatics and Mitchell & Ness have some serious customer service issues to address.
Long waits. Abysmal customer service
Shopping with Mitchell & Ness is like shopping with a business on their first day of operations. If the wind blows in the wrong direction, their shipping and logistics fall into a delay tailspin. Their customer service is virtually non-existent. It is email only. It takes forever to get a response. Their responses are written in the tone of a scold. (It is as if a Mitchell & Ness executive set a goal to be rude to customers as a "feature" of the experience.) Absolutely do not recommend -- especially at their price points.
Bait and Switch
Underscoring the many experiences documenting that customer service is worse than non-existent. M and N is engaging in a number of deceptive and fraudulent practices. 1) Customer service: promising to circle back and never following-up. 2) Engaging in a bait-and-switch campaign for customers to sign up and receive updates and messages, while providing their personal contact information and data. In exchange, customers are to receive a 15% discount. I wass a victim of this bait and switch tactic on my order. The discount was not applied at checkout-- and I tried to re-order as wel as contact the company.
3) False order status information. My items were in stock, supposedly being immediately processed away and receiving free 2+-business-day delivery. After my credit card was processed, I was informed that my order supposedly was "on its way". Subsequently, I was informed that the order is actually "scheduled" to be delivered more than 2 weeks after being placed. Again--bait and switch.
I have written repeatedly and answered their surveys.
Along with other similarly situated customers--A refund of the price and the cost of our time is owed.

Non existent customer service/impossible to return
As for quality, the items seems fine as for customer service, this company would get negative stars if I could give them that. My son received 2 of the same shirts as birthday presents. Just wanted to return one. He reached out via the return form, I reached out via email twice and called the (useless) 1-866-879-6485 number that I was given by FANATICS which must sell their stuff or be a parent company? Anyway…no response and it’s been over a week. The “30day” return date is fast approaching and I have a feeling we will not hear anything until the date has come and gone. I would not buy from this company unless you are 100% sure you want to keep it. Returns are next to impossible.
Item never arrived; no customer service response
Ordered a jersey in mid-March, never arrived. Royal Mail tracking shows the item is lost en route so I contacted M&N's email (they don't bother to give you a customer phone number) but 3 emails over a 2-week period later, they still haven't responded. Noted the email they gave from the order confirmation was from Fanatics so beware of Fanatics too.
The worst
I think this company is garbage in terms of quality, and it irks me being belief that most retro or throwback jerseys inevitably end up back to them. They can't create a decent throwback without injecting their logo feces all over it even though they were nowhere to be found during the original heyday of the team jersey and it's maker. Yes. I know they were around, but they were shoveling the same sediment they use to ruin retro apparel by tattooing it everywhere.
Peeling jersey
I got this Raptors jersey for Christmas last year. I’ve worn it 4 times and the logo is peeling from the jersey.
Order never delivered, no refund
I made an order December 30th. It was international so I waited patiently. Since there was no movement by February 4th I contacted them and asked to investigate the shipment.
UPS later confirmed that the shipment was disposed of because import charges were allegedly not paid. However, I never received any notification from UPS. no email, no SMS, no letter, no phone call informing me of delivery attempts or any payment required. As a result, I was never given a chance to respond or pay.
Mitchell & Ness has confirmed that the package was not delivered, yet they refuse to refund or reship the order, hiding behind internal policies and a 30-day reporting rule. The issue could not reasonably be reported earlier, as I was never informed that there was a problem or that the package would be destroyed.
At the end of the day, I paid for goods that I never received. Passing responsibility entirely to the customer when a shipment is destroyed without notification is unacceptable.
Very disappointing customer service and resolution. I would strongly caution international customers before ordering.
Poor quality and partial refund
They sent me a shirt with a bad screen print. I asked to exchange it. They told me they don’t do exchanges, but I could get a refund a buy another one. I mailed the shirt back, and only got a partial refund. They charged me $11 for return shipping. So I paid $11 for them to send me a defective product and now I have nothing to show for it. I won’t shop with them again.
Very bad stuff, wasted my money
Saw their ad in Instagram and bought a Dodgers jacket from them, size M. Turn out the jacket is in poor quality and it is way too small to fit. I have had at least 10 MLB jackets in the past, only this brand has problem. And they do not accept ex-change, only return. So I wasted 30 dollars for round trip shipping for buying stuff from them, this is a very bad brand bad quality control and very disgusting business practice, I am going to complain them through the MLB.
Terrible experience
I placed an order the week before last. They only shipped half my order. The other half had been in the “label created” status for 4 days now. They refuse to believe that they just printed a label and didn’t ship yet and are putting all the blame on UPS. UPS says they never dropped off the package. Customer service is terrible and refuses to just “re-send” my items. Terrible experience.
TERRIBLE
TERRIBLE. I've loved their products in the past, when they were a small store in Philly. Not anymore. I was gifted a Eagles Varsity Jacket (Princess Diana variety) which I had always wanted. It was of poor, inexpensive material (polyester) and fit poorly. I wrote to return the product. No response. Wrote again. No response. Looked up customer service on line, and got a recorded message that only submissions on-line would be accepted. (I had earlier tried to return to the store UP THE STREET, they would not accept it). I finally got a response and returned today, but was responsible for $30 postage (which I could have walked it up the street for free.). BUYER BEWARE. BUYER BEWARE. DON'T BUY ANYTHING ONLINE. Customer "service" is quite bad, you can't speak to a real person, and the return policy terrible.

I purchased a 100 dollar sweatshirt at the stadium and it was really cool. Loved the look, very classic and that's the reason I give 2 stars instead of 1. After the 1st wash (following the instructions, on cold, delicate, inside out, damp dry low heat) the fabric started pilling, the logo started peeling and it shrunk significantly. It still fit and I didn't want to return it but rather exchange for the same item. I could not because it was not sold at anywhere but the stadium (in a state I do not love). I was told whatever item you purchased had to be returned to the vendor you purchased it from and my attempt to exchange was not even entertained. Great looking items, poorly executed with cheap material and finished off with even worse customer service. I know some of the stuff looks cool, but it's terrible quality and representation.
Zero customer service
Zero customer service. I ordered a sweatshirt 3 days ago with next day business and it hasn't even shipped yet. They do not have a phone number or chat, just an email that goes unanswered.

I would leave no stars if I could. Do not buy from them.
I ordered a size I normally wear it was way too big email them about sending it back so I can get another size never responded sent the second email still no response third email and nothing I am disputing with my bank.

I ordered a Spurs Vintage T-shirt and got sent some off brand T-shirt, Now I’m having to wait weeks for a refund due to their mistake and would not exchange. I wish I had read all these reviews.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. UPS claimed custom charges upon delivery, for which I did not have the cash at hand. UPS took the package with them and Mitchell & Ness is just not capable of relocating the package. No refund, no other solution was proposed. Terrible experience
They sent me a jersey with some marking…
They sent me a jersey with some marking on the number on the back of the jersey. I didn't catch it until I removed the tags. I contacted them to request an exchange as I still want the jersey--I just don't want to have paid over $100 for a brand new jersey with a marking. They refused because the tags had been removed. What a joke.
