Buyers beware
Buyers beware, very concerning experience with Monks Park Autos
I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a car from Monks Park Autos to carry out thorough independent checks before purchasing. Or even better, stay away from buying anything of them.
I was told when buying my vehicle that it had only been involved in a very minor accident, supposedly limited to a broken right-hand rear tail light. However, when I later took the vehicle to an independent garage, I was informed that it had actually suffered significant front-end damage and that the quality of the repairs was extremely poor and potentially unsafe.
This was completely different from what I was told when purchasing the vehicle.
I have retained records of my conversations with the seller, including the assurances I was given about the accident, and I have formally raised my concerns with the garage.
The independent garage that inspected the vehicle was sufficiently concerned about the condition of the repairs and the information surrounding the vehicle's history that they indicated the matter may need to be reported to the relevant authorities.
Based on my experience, I would advise potential buyers to be extremely cautious and to have any vehicle independently inspected before handing over any money.
I certainly wish I had done so.
