Don't buy from them rouge traders they need investigated.

The worst experience that we have ever had from a dealer. Bought and Evoque from them in April 26, within days the car had a gearbox issue, noise from the rear differential. In for repair and back out without being fixed. After being messed about we rejected the car. Independent engineer reviewed and found a number of issues that all pointed toward the faults we noted. Water ingress, gearbox jumping about and noise from the diff. The deposit of £8000 was to be refunded, however after 5 weeks they still had not issued a refund. Tandem the finance company had to pay us the deposit due to the dealer not paying us directly. A nightmare from start to finish. So not buy anything from this crowd. Ignorant and arrogant the minute there was a fault with the car. The dint even process the V 5 as they thought that car would be brought back. That tells you plenty. The worst ever.

Paid a £300 deposit which I was told would be refundable, as they wouldn't accept my car as trade in, said it was 'too new' for them so I said id go home that eve and see if I could sort my finances - called them first thing next day 9am to explain it was undooable until I got the money from the sale of my car, they said theyd speak to manager and get back. 5 phone calls to them and a week later they've said they're not returning my £300 saying its now unrefundable! The manager Charlie's attitude towards me was terrible! Their customer service is appalling and ill be making sure family and friends know to avoid this place like the plague! He cars are also overpriced for age and mileage! There's a lot to be said for paying a bit more for ur car thro a reputable dealer such as arnold clark - that's where ill be returning for my next car!!!!

I put a deposit of £300 down on a Volkswagon but for personal reasons i had to change my decision, Charlie Shaw gave me a refund as was agreed over the phone, if i did not want to buy it, No problem whatsoever , Great to deal with , Charlie was true to his word , I would recommend this Company and Charlie Shaw.

I purchased a Kia Venga (SP65) from Mount Vernon Motors in March last year for £6500.
In my 10 months of ownership the car has cost £2000 in repairs, namely..

1) Rusted in and inoperative glow plugs (I mentioned after purchase that there was an issue with starting which was dismissed).

2) Seized suspension components resulting in uneven tyre wear, down to the metal banding within 1000 miles and just out of warranty.

In my experience MVM customer service is non existent with phone calls/voicemails/WhatsApp/Facebook messages remaining unanswered.

I regret using Mount Vernon Motors and would strongly advise others to avoid.
