SCAM

I paid 200 pound for a course to start a job at the mtm pet care, at least 6 months ago. Before I applied I was promised I would get clients that they would provide me, i asked a lot of questionsas i was skeptical at first and 200 pound was a lot of money if i was not going to get clients. However i was promised to get clients by them The only client I got that was sent by them already had a dog walker 2 weeks ago and was already sorted. I wasted 200 pound for then not to send me anymore clients after that. Not heard from them since and necer got anymore clients
By the looks of the reviews it seems to be a scam. A lot seem to have the same experience as I have had
UPDATE- seen as you wrote back , if you check your records I paid you Friday 31st of may, you sent me ONE client . ONE. who was confused to why I was contacting him because he already had a dog walker . That was all I was sent. Don't you dare make out like im the one that's a liar. I will get proof of my bank. And in all fairness want my money back. I paid 200 pound for what. For some training . Absolutely shocking. By sound of A lot of people you have done the same.

That being said, from our records we can see that you began working with us on 5th August last year and began receiving clients less than 2 days later.

Unfortunately, we then heard nothing from you with regards to these initially referred clients and have in fact received no contact from you since prior to this on 1st August. There are also invoices on your account dating back to the same time for which we have received no payment nor contact. This is why you have received no further client referrals.

If you would like to make contact with our office at your earliest convenience we would be happy to help you reinstate your account.

Have to say

Have to say, despite their promises I was pretty surprised by how quickly I started receiving clients through.

I kind of took what they told me with a pinch of salt as I usually do with these things especially as I'm not in the most built up area. Figured I'd at least get a couple of customers through a week to make it worth it and then go from there. But to be honest, within a day or 2 of getting started the first customer got referred and then within a couple of weeks it was just constant.

Also, the clients they send through are actual proper customers not just "leads" so they're actually looking to move forward unlike some of the other dog walking places I've worked with.

Overall, very pleasantly surprised. Based on my experience would definitely recommend.

Disappointing Experience

Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend

I recently resigned from my position at MTM Pet Care, and after my experience, I feel compelled to share my concerns. Unfortunately, my time with the company has been filled with unresolved issues that made it impossible for me to continue working there.

Firstly, despite multiple requests for branded attire, I never received any. This may seem small, but it was an important part of representing the company in a professional manner. Additionally, I was promised insurance documents prior to starting, but they didn’t arrive until three days after my first appointment—creating unnecessary stress and confusion.

The company’s referral system also raised significant concerns. On two separate occasions, I was charged £7.50 for referrals from clients who never actually booked my services. This felt extremely unfair, and it ultimately led to me paying more in referral fees than I was earning. This made the financial aspect of the job unsustainable for me.

despite my clients being sourced independently—not through MTM Pet Care. The overall lack of financial transparency and support left me feeling unsupported and undervalued.

In the end, I no longer felt that MTM Pet Care aligns with my professional goals or values.
I would caution others considering a role with this company, as my experience has been marked by inefficiency, lack of emotion, and poor management.

SCAM

SCAM. You think it’s legit because of they posted on indeed but it’s not they just want the £200 fee & then they block you.

Iam editing this because they replied to it, they are saying they are genuine but if you are why did you delete your ad of indeed soon as I called you a scam and indeed is saying you never existed when I go to see what I’ve applied for.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review however we are rather confused by the content.

Firstly, we have no record of anyone with your name having ever been a customer or employee of ourselves. Could it perhaps be under another name?

Secondly, I am not sure what you mean by "block you". We are contactable via a Freephone telephone number between 9AM and 5PM Monday to Friday and certainly do not have the facility to "block" anyone from contacting us via that number.

Our Support Team are also available via email and during these same business hours will respond to 95% of emails within 2 hours. Again, we certainly do not have the facility to "block" any emails, nor would we.

If you are having any difficulty contacting us please ensure you are dialling the correct number ( 0800 471 4530) or emailing the correct address ( info@mtmpetcare.com ) and a member of the team will be more than happy to help.

I joined in feb and it was the worst…

I joined in feb and it was the worst mistake I have ever done. I thought because they were advertising on indeed they must be legit(how wrong I was). At first when you ring it’s all good and you are promised everything but once you have paid your £200 they want nothing to do with you. Any questions or complaints you want to raise has to be done by email as they won’t speak to you directly. I received my first lead and it only had on name, mobile, email and what the customer was looking for which was daily pet care, when speaking to the customer she said she wanted dog boarding in August now bare in mind this was Feb so not sure how that got mixed up. After I received no more leads for a while I contacted The company and they were demanding I pay the £7.50 for the lead so when I explained (by email) that the lead was no good and it must be a mistake on there side they said I needed proof. so I contacted the customer in which she said she was busy and she would ring me back. After a week or 2 no phone call so I tried to ring again and I had been blocked so I had no way of gaining the proof they needed. After a few emails back and forth between the company you come to realise they only want you for the £200. Worst mistake I have ever done joining MTM pet care.

People don’t believe their rubbish they write back. The lead didn’t have an address on so there was no way of staff to chase them up and to gain the proof the company requested. They talk absolute rubbish. As for a compensation payment I asked for my money back, don’t try make out I’m just after money because you’re very good at twisting things. Bottom line is you just want £200 for joining fee and that’s it.
Just read the 1 star reviews and they tell you everything you need to know. Same story.

Thank you for taking the time to review our company and we are sorry to hear you were unhappy with your experience. That said, having looked into this further we would suggest that there are a number of inaccuracies in your recall of events. We also note that you appear to have left a number of similar reviews for other business providing similar services, such as Tailster.

Firstly, we should point out that you do not appear to have joined us in February as you have stated. You registered with us in November last year then chose not to actually start working with ourselves until early January due to a personal delay in being able to start your training.

With regards to your suggestion that “Once you have paid they want nothing to do with you” that simply isn’t true. A key part of our business is the extensive support we offer to both those working with us and our customers. A review of our contact with you shows that we responded to every attempt at contact with ourselves, and in a timely manner. Further, your training was arranged within 24 hours of you completing your registration and your start date set within 5 days of you completing your training. You were kept informed of the process at every stage and the only period during which there was a lack of contact was while we awaited your completion of your training. As stated this delay was at your own end and you informed us this was due to personal circumstances.

It is true that we do ask that any issues relating to specific client referrals are raised via email in the first instance as we find this is the most accurate and efficient way of helping to solve any issues. Again, our records show that all the queries your presented were responded to fully, usually in less than 30 minutes.

With regards to your time working with ourselves, we note that as you requested we began the process of generating clients for you on 15th January. Your first client, having been vetted and validated following their initial enquiry was referred to you on 17th January (again, not February as stated) and you were provided with full contact details for the client including location and details of the service they had requested.

You emailed almost a week later on 22nd January to claim that the customer did not in fact want the service they had initially stated. We immediately emailed back (within less than 15 minutes) to state that we would investigate and review this referral per your request and at the same time we requested as per our standard process that you forward any correspondence between yourself and the customer to help with this review.
Sadly, you immediately became combative, refusing to provide any further information and terminating your engagement with ourselves with immediate effect. You also proceeded to bombard the customer with phone calls demanding their home address for some reason, leading to us having to apologise for your actions to that customer.

Despite the above, following a brief review of the referral we did offer as a gesture of goodwill to entirely recredit the referral fee. Again, you refused to accept this and continued instead to send somewhat abusive emails seeking to claim some form of compensatory payment. You sent 6 such emails between 31st January and 29th February and all were provided a full, detailed response within a maximum of 1 hour. On each occasion we reiterated our willingness to continue providing the service and certainly did not “demand” any further payment as we had already confirmed that we would not be charging for the client that had been referred to you previously.

In the end, you were never charged for any referrals, no demands for payment were ever made and no further clients were referred as you chose to terminate your engagement. The last we heard from you was your email on 29th February and have received no contact since.

I hope this clarifies the matter but please do let us know if we can be of any further help.

Just want to say how impressed I've…

Just want to say how impressed I've been with this company so far. I registered with them as a Pet Care Professional at the beginning of july and from start to finish they've just been so supportive and helpful.

The man I spoke to when applied talked me through everything step by step. I had a million questions but he was really patient. Let me take my time deciding if it was right for me then when I was ready they processed everything so quickly and without any fuss at all.

The diploma course was really simple to access but made me feel so much more comfortable with what I was doing and it's all broken down into little segments so it's easy to take on board. Then as soon as that was done they set my start date and I was away.

3 customers referred in the first week. 6 in the second already. I've already met some lovely people and even lovlier doggies.

Been with MTM for just over 2 years now…

Been with MTM for just over 2 years now and can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
I got control of my work/life balance and most importantly get to do what I love. Working with animals every day and being part of their lives is everything I ever wanted from a job.
Things to be aware of when you start.. Take your time with the training. It gives you a lot of info and because I rushed it a bit the first time I had to go back over it a couple of times to refresh my memory. Also it took a week or so to start getting regular customers so be patient. Once the balls rolling you'll soon get busy!
If you love dogs there's nothing better!

Replied quickly to my enquiry and very helpful explaining exactly how everything works.

Been using these for over a year now

Been using these for over a year now. Sally-Ann walks our terrier twice a week and he loves her to bits. She's always on time. Always has a smile on her face and I dont know what wed do without her! thank you so much!

SCAM

This company is a huge scam. They advertise on Indeed about pet care work. You basically pay £199 to join and you get a platform where you use their web address and enquiry platform to gain clients, you also get a diploma (which is unnecessary), uniform and an email platform. They start off being very friendly and helpful. Then you get what they call a "referral" which is only them sending an email address and name and contact of a person who is just enquiring about dog walking, doesn't actually want your service. You then get an invoice of £7.50 because they sent you this referral. They claim it states it in the terms of engagement but it is not clear at all and they do not explain it when signing you on. They use their words very carefully to rope you in. Then when you question the £7.50 they become threatening and will not talk to you personally over the phone. I also never received my uniform that was included in the £199.

If you want to walk dogs you need experience and not a silly diploma. People wont want you to take care of their pets with no experience. Your better off gaining experience at shelter homes before. DONT JOIN THEM!

THEY ARE A BIG SCAM!

With regards your comments concerning a qualification being "unnecessary" it is absolutely true that there is no legal requirement for anyone to hold an appropriate qualification to provide pet care services. However, a key reason our customers come to us is the peace of mind that comes with knowing all of our Pet Care Professionals are trained, qualified and insured. This training and certification is industry recognised and is included as part of the registration as is comprehensive insurance cover amongst multiple other benefits.

With regards to the referral fee we charge for each referred customer, we are entirely transparent about about this fee and it is made clear in all correspondence and documentation including our comprensive Pet Care Professional Prospectus available on our website. To be frank it is how we earn our income and represents unquestionable value for our Pet Care Professionals. They pay only for clients referred and only for new clients, not for the repeat business they gain from the same clients which means often each £7.50 client will equate to £100s of income for the professional with the entire client generation process taken care of by our team.

We note from our records that having started your work with ourselves you were immediately referred clients as promised but then refused to pay your first referral fee invoice and then promptly terminated your engagement. These fees remain outstanding.

We are sorry that you chose to end your work with ourselves so soon in your engagement and before you had chance to see the value of the service we provide but wish you luck in whatever you choose to do in future.
