Brilliant service. Aptly named service.
First, the person in the call centre was polite, courteous and helpful. I was given a time slot and 30 minutes prior to the ETA I received confirmation. I then received a 10 minute tracking link and Josh arrived who was friendly and quickly opened the car. Excellent service!!!

Our review shows that the pricing for your genuine manufacturer keys was clearly explained and agreed by you before the service was arranged. It also confirms that the expected timescales were outlined in advance, including the need to order your keys directly from the appropriate supplier—an unavoidable part of providing genuine components.
With this in mind, we are unsure how the alternative pricing you mentioned has arisen, or why the agreed service duration has contributed to a 1-star rating, given that both elements were openly discussed and accepted prior to your booking.

Inexperienced, better to use dealers or independent
Came out to program a new key, they left with the key not being able to start the car
So I got the vehicle diagnosed and received an error code B2033:4A Dongle not ok… meaning there is a fault in the programming of the new key. Hence the vehicle does not start now
They also now refuse to make another key or come out to rectify the issue, unless I pay a further £120
Sales team were brilliant, but after sales are terrible once they’ve been paid

Scam site ?
I have to say I thought and still think its a scam site.. they required pre payment and would not confirm when the car key mechanic would come .. various "agents" rang me asking for money .... I would seriously avoid.
PS I see that the scam company has replied saying I am based in the USA .. NO I AM NOT .. i am based in the UK. People can draw their own conclusions! PPS was in USA but now reside in UK

I can confirm we are absolutely a legitimate company. We are based in Norwich, Norfolk, with a large fleet of auto locksmiths spread across the United Kingdom, so that we can offer our immediate support to anybody in need of it, no matter where they are. If you did indeed enquiry with us, then what I think you may have experienced, is one of our agents giving you a return courtesy call to see if you still required our support, following your enquiry.
We understand that suddenly being short of access to your vehicle can be very distressing, and we want to always ensure that even if you don't proceed with our service, we look after you and make sure you have resolved the situation nonetheless.
If you did wish to discuss this any further, I would be more than happy to take a deeper look into this for you, to get to the bottom of what you have mentioned, but, we simply do not just call people and ask for money.

Had a new ignition fitted £450 pounds…
Had a new ignition fitted £450 pounds charge there was a hell of a lot of banging going on while the fitting was being done he said it was very difficult to remove vw polo 2014 I had already removed bottom plastic cowling weeks before trying to see what problem was why ignition was not working properly there was no problem with vehicle after I had removed no warning lights horn worked …anyway he finished job and left I got in vehicle 5 mins after to nip to shops and air bag warning light was on never seen it before in whole time owning vehicle rang him he came back done a diagnostic and said resistance to high air bag I was clueless to any of this any way few days later I noticed horn was not working I’ve since been advised off my mechanic it’s the clock spring behind the steering wheel so rang explain the situation to my car key hero they obviously said it wasn’t there fault and there lock smith was not working near there lol right where ignition is and Where all the loud banging was coming from hitting it with hammer so I have to get a mechanical report that says it’s definitely there fault to be compensated absolutely gutted I did not read reviews on here before using this company £450 for ignition and now I’ve got to pay probably few more hundred to put it right great thanks a lot my car key zero always read reviews mental note to self ….reply everything was fine before work commenced no airbag warning lights on untill after your highly skilled lock butcher hammered the hell out of steering lock and cause damage to clock spring cost me another £200 to put it right £650 in total to have a new ignition fitted …..AVOID THESE CLOWNS

I own carkeyhero website. I am honest and say the areas I cover near Brighton. These clowns at mycarhero.co.uk are stealing my work and my name. I am going to report them to trading standards for they say they cover all areas of UK from Newcastle to Brighton and the entire width. This is a lie. They get you to call maybe hearing from a friend car key hero was good, (ME) and then they pop up and you think they are the same. They are not anything to do with me. They call other locksmiths and you pay extra. So a £120 job becomes £210 with them.
Stealing my name and my customers. Thats low.

Very impressed from start to finish. Rapid response on phone whenever I called.. speaking to an actual person which makes a change! Excellent comms throughout. Lee (the engineer) arrived on time and was very friendly and helpful.. he even charged up my car battery as it was on a very low voltage. I appreciated the Sunday service too. Altogether, very happy and would definitely recommend.

You would be most welcome to have cancelled the booking on account of this, but I note that you had elected to proceed with the service.

Charged 210 for someone to come out and get keys out of car.
Took less than 5 mins.
They had phoned a local person to do the job. Asked the local locksmith what the cost was if I had called them direct and told 120.
