Absolutely amazing experience for me and my dog (Enzo) at My Dog Trainer. His instructor Beth was so patient, knowledgeable and great with communicating with us about Enzo. We’ve already seen such a positive difference in him. I highly recommend this place for your dog.

Aaron did an amazing job not just with Nico our 3 year old Cane Corso. But also with the updates about him while he was away. Would highly recommend!!

I have waited a few months since our Dog did a 10 day stint with Aaron, to see how he has been, and the difference has been remarkable. While we did not expect to pick up a perfect dog he was already much more focused and easier to walk than we expected. Aaron gave us the tools to keep the training up at home and while, Kevin still struggles with somethings (like the door) he is much quicker to calm and settle. Thank you Aaron!

The only issue I had was with the kennels used, I found at drop off they were a little brisk, and all our feeding instructions were ignored. They were also extremely rude when we picked him up. During his stay I also emailed the kennels several times as we were worried about the heatwave and it wasn’t until I rang and spoke to the weekend manager (who was friendly) that we received a somewhat blunt email response. I absolutely recommend my dogs trainer and our trainer Aaron - but I would be cautious about using Windmill kennels.

From the moment Winston and Maple arrived, they were in incredibly caring hands. It’s clear that everyone loves dogs and is passionate about helping them.

The regular video updates during their residential stay were brilliant and made such a difference. Leaving your beloved dogs with someone else can be nerve-wracking, but seeing Winston and Maple happy, settled and making progress gave us peace of mind.

Aaron was exceptional, professional, patient in getting the very best from both dogs. We couldn’t be happier with the results and would recommend this company to anyone looking for training for their dog.

Booked our Italian Greyhound in for 10 days residential training with My Dog's Trainer, to boost our puppy's confidence and build a foundation for a safe and happy life. Initially a bit uneasy about handing our baby over for 10 days so early on into ownership but we were assigned the trainer Aaron, who immediately vindicated our decision upon first meeting. Aaron has been fantastic at sending us regular updates and taking care of our puppy, the videos he sent us both shocked us with his training progress and eased us with the level of attention he was providing, Tarkan (the puppy) was clearly happy, excited to learn and felt comfortable around Aaron.
Tarkan has learned so much in 10 days and I know we'd have struggled to get him to this stage where he's calmly loose-lead walking, leaving food untouched if instructed, waiting at doorways etc if it wasn't for Aaron, so I'd like to commend him for his professionalism and his effort. 5 stars to both trainer and company for our experience. Couldn't recommend more to anyone who might be on the fence about it like we initially were, best decision we've made.

Aaron has been absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t recommend him more. I trusted him with my four-month-old puppy, and it was one of the best decisions I made.

Even though my puppy only stayed with Aaron for two weeks, the difference has been incredible. He managed to turn my energetic little puppy into a real gentleman. I can already see a huge improvement in his behavior, manners, and overall obedience.

Aaron clearly cares about the dogs he works with and puts a lot of time, patience, and dedication into their training. I’m so grateful for everything he’s done, and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust him with my puppy again. Thank you, Aaron!

Absolutely perfect from start to finish and exceptionally clear communication from Caitlin. She has worked wonders with our beautiful Violet harrier/springer who’s recall was practically none existent when we sent her for her 10 days training.She now looks to us for instructions and is coming back 9/10 times first call , we haven’t enough words for how thankful we are to Caitlin , Violet came back happy healthy and completely herself. We cannot recommend Caitlin enough.

My dog spent 12 days with the lovely Beth looking after him ans it was a pleasure to get him back with such lovely manners, his lead walking and recall are so much better.

Sonny spent two weeks with his trainer Aaron. The progress he made was in line with what I hoped for. At the return handover was was given a good briefing and have continued the training

3yrs ago I rescued a Cane Corso and recently left him for the first time, a stressful experience that required a LOT of research.. The service from EVERYONE was exceptional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
MORE importantly, Duke spent 3 weeks with Beth in Southampton and he 100% would go back and recommend Beth. She went above and beyond, helping him settle, making him ice lollies during the recent heatwave, etc.. she is an incredibly genuine and caring human who WE cannot recommend highly enough.. We dropped Robert, our reactive abused rescue, to Beth at Southampton for 3 weeks. It was so hard to leave him but we were confident in Beth. From the videos she sent it was clear he quickly trusted and bonded with her. Before he went to Beth Robert would bark, lunge and get hysterical towards every human and dog he encountered. Since we have collected him he has not barked at ANY humans - truly a remarkable change. He isn’t comfortable with dogs on a walk still but Beth has given us strategies and said it will be a process. The boarding kennels were lovely and I will definitely be using them again. Beth is an amazing trainer and we cannot recommend her enough. We will definitely continue with her and MDT.

My lads have returned from Oxfordshire having spent 3 weeks with Caitlin, as very different dogs to the ones I dropped off.
After one of my 2 yr old labradoodles was attacked by another dog during a walk, he became very reactive to others whilst out walking, his brother quickly joined in.
It got to the point where we walked very early, very late or spent our walk times at dog park to avoid any interactions. They would also throw themselves at anyone that walked through the door, in uncontrolled excitement that left many bruises.
The work that Caitlin has done with my two is unbelievable, they have reacted on two occasions since being home, both times when they were surprised by someone walking round a corner quickly. But they have had so many more positive interactions, they’ve even ignored other dogs that barked at them. I can’t recommend or thank Caitlin enough for the way she has reset the pair of them.
We’re working hard to keep to the plan Caitlin sent and following all the guidance that was given in the Pupdate videos and lesson when I picked them up.
I even held both leads in one hand on our walk tonight, having got in the door without either of them launching themselves at me!! Which I’m sure Caitlin will find hard to believe 😊
The boys were well looked after and shortly after their arrival, they were moved to the same kennel as they weren’t coping with being apart. I would have no concerns with leaving them at the Avalon pet hotel again.

Our dog benefited greatly from Aarons training. His regular video updates kept us in the loop. His advice and written training guide proved invaluable. Money well spent

Took my two very large puppies Cherry & Dipper for the two week session to learn basic control and reduce co-dependency. Aaron was great with them & they bonded very well with him. Back home now & am already seeing big improvements in their recall & general behaviour. Would definitely recommend

Our dog worked with Aaron for nearly 3 weeks. Loki is an adult male dog who has spent a lot of his life in a shelter. He is a sweet boy at home but he also has a lot of well established challenging behaviours which, having talked to Aaron, and having received regular updates and a detailed training plan, we realise now we were probably making worse. Aaron worked on the basics of lead walking, recall and controling impulse before moving onto the more challenging behaviours including reactivity. We have to re-enforce what Loki learnt and stay consistent and calm. We have a detailed plan that we are all commited to. Loki has been home nearly a week. He was exhausted when he came home and was a little unsure after so long away, and he did regress a bit from how he was with Aaron, but we were prepared for that. Breed specific advice on how to tailor our training with Loki has been illuminating and makes a lot of sense. We've been really pleased. We loved getting the regular updates on Loki's progress too.

Warm and friendly welcome, time taken to understand our anxious Lurcher, excellent training foundations laid and clear instructions for continuing at home. Aaron gained Pete’s trust, not an easy task, and discovered his love for chicken!

My three-legged rescue dog was really reactive due to past trauma, constantly barking when people came to the house, at motorbikes, other dogs etc.

Aaron worked with her for three weeks and the change in her has been amazing. She's a much calmer dog, her reactivity has almost gone and she follows instructions really well.

Aaron took us through what we would need to do to continue his programme at home, we had really clear instructions both in person and in his aftercare report.

Daisy clearly enjoyed the time she spent with him and we know how to give clear leadership signals, and that means she feels safer knowing we are in control.

I'm so glad we did this, it's going to give Daisy a happier calmer life, and improves our ability to socialise and have a calmer life as well!

From the get go, the support i received was outstanding. From Paul in the office, to Beth the trainer. My 2 staffie pups were untrainable, couldn't put a collar on them, let alone a lead! But Beth did a fantastic job. I can now walk them, which they love, they obey me on all commands. I was at a loss and stressed with them, but now they are so so much better. I got updates regularly from Beth, videos etc on how my boys were doing. The handover was brilliant, and I know if I have any further issues, Beth will help me. She's the best!
I can not recommend My Dog Trainer highly enough, they literally saved me and the pups. Thank you.
