I had a really positive experience buying a quartz CRL Stone worktop from My Kitchen Worktop. The team were professional throughout, from sales through to logistics, and templating/install team. They were flexible and responsive when my templating date needed to be rescheduled which was important given other dependencies I was managing. And I'm really happy with the final look after install. Awful service from start to finish from MD Jesus Alberto Mouza and his team. Every issue they caused Jesus was unwilling to rectify. He doesn’t know how to construct a floating shelf and the island has a massive crack. The underside of our floating shelf has netting on it and he has used pins for the floating shelf which structurally is not strong. We have just been met with hostility and rudeness and he just ignores all emails when we try to tell him our concerns. I would avoid this company as there are so many good stone masons in and around London and it’s well worth spending the time to research properly as it costs a lot of money. They also take away the large off cuts of marble without notifying you and it’s nowhere in the contract. Be sure to ask to keep it if you do decide to go with them as you can use it to make something nice

Have left us with a really poor join right in front of the cooker. One piece slightly thinner than the other and now slopes down. The template didn't take into account the end panel (something the carpenter says is an absolute basic) so we're left with a worktop running between the panel. They didn't check the levels so part of the worktop at the end is completely wonky, which has made fitting the doors a nightmare (a quick adjustment at the floor would have remedied this).

They were in a supreme hurry on site and obviously did not take due care. They also requested all money up front before the job was undertaken. There's clearly a reason for this, and more fool us for paying for it. They are not responding to emails.

I had a fantastic buying experience with MKW. The people were lovely and the process was smooth.

Unfortunately the quality of the product is terrible. We went for quartz specifically because it is supposed to be Maintenence free. But the quartz we have stains incredible easily. We are very careful with it, treating it as is it were marble. We are careful to wipe immediately after use (and often have to scrub with cig) and yet we still have stains we are unable to remove.

I had quartz in two kitchens before this bid , and it has always been a dream in terms of practicality, looking new after 7+years.

The company uses external suppliers, but they remain responsible for the kitchen top quality

I ordered a bar top in quartz callacata, as it was all via the internet I needed to see different options as there are prominent veins in the pattern, Vini at MKW was extremely helpful and sourced different options, sent me photos of many slabs and samples to choose from. It arrived and was fitted very professionally, I am very very happy with the end result and would highly recommend this company, well done!

I had quartz stone supplied and fitted recently by MKW Surfaces. Excellent and speedy service from start to finish. The price is very competitive too.

For those who want to add classic and luxe finish to their kitchen or bathroom countertop, I’d suggest going for the elegant bevelled edge profile. It gives a great accent to the worktop, making it appear ultra-chic and sophisticated. However, it can make the installed stone appear a bit shorter than its actual size. So, prefer this profile only in larger kitchen spaces.

I have been shopping for a white quartz worktop for a while and visited MKW workshop. My quote was handled by Vinnie who suggested an Opal quartz. I was considering a Silestone, but they quoted me nearly 50% more for it (£2800 inc VAT vs £1860 inc VAT for Opal). They convinced me to go with the cheaper quote saying that their Opal quartz was a great quality and it was not worth paying for a brand name of the more known product, and that their Opal quartz was a Volkswagen of quartz worktops.
Before my template taking I received another quite from a well known national company (named after a central London neighbourhood) for a Silestone worktop that was only 15% more expensive that their Opal quartz, however, trusting MKW I decided not to pay extra for a brandname.
On the day of fitting it turned out that two parts of the worktop cut from the same slab (my kitchen is L-shaped) did not align correctly and joint is not flushed. The fitter blamed ME for choosing a CHEAP and POOR QUALITY worktop. Apparently, Opal worktops are often uneven or sunk in the middle of the slab creating variances in thickness. So, it seems that instead of 'VW' of worktops I got a cheap and poor quality Indian 'Tata' worktop.
The join is visible and not flush and the variance in thickness is apparent between the two worktops as well as against the upstand. The joint looks worse that my previous laminate worktop joint at 1/10 of the price.

I am extremely annoyed, as I paid a premium for a substandard product. I emailed MKW on the day of the fitting (3 days ago) and am still awaiting their response. It is apparent that they make their money by offering a cheap and inferior product at inflated prices. I am really upset and regret trusting this company.
