Poor. I was sold a ticket with a Senior Railcard discount for a 640am departure into London. The on board ticket inspector remarked that the railcard was not valid at that time and my ticket provider should have known this. Would not use again.
Responsive and helpful, but their prices are absurd
When I found that you couldn’t put in ‘Boundary of Zone 6’ as your home station (this is only relevant to Oyster Card users in London), I emailed them. They replied promptly saying they would forward my mail to their technical team. Two days later I got a mail saying they were going to try and incorporate the feature.
However, despite all that, when I put in my journey (from the station on the boundary of zone 6 and with my railcard), the price quoted was over £10. I knew that wasn’t right, so I bought it from a machine at the station, £4.95.
They seem like nice and helpful people, but there is something very wrong somewhere.
App doesn’t work.
Spent an hour trying to book a simple return ticket for 2 for next day. Every time it says “There is an issue” No explanation and no tickets. Gave up.

Tried booking for next day? Newcastle to Northallerton, been on 30 mins ! Issue with basket ? Every time! Ok on Lner app!
Refund Process Needs Work

Find the refund process frustrating as none of the tickets (I travel a lot) I’ve needed to be refunded I’ve been able to online - I’ve had to email customer services each time and that takes about 48hrs to hear back. They are helpful tho. The clunky refund process gives this a 4 rather than 5.

It's far from perfect
It's far from perfect. The app issued me with an E ticket on a route that doesn't accept E tickets yet. And it's still doesn't give anymore information than any other app. Buying a ticket is still far to complicated and still doesn't help buying the correct ticket. I want to see information included like. You can use the ticket on any train and train company on the day of issue. Or restricted to time and train company. And when it says any route permitted. I want to see the list of stations on the routes permitted. And the same with Direct route via named stations.
Come on guys make it easy! And to guys sat behind desks designing these apps. Just because you understand your own jargon do not presumes the travelers do.

User friendly and great for rail cards
Nice idea but the app won’t work for me!
Downloaded the app and got a good deal on a railcard. Unfortunately it just doesn’t seem to work when trying to book tickets!

Seamless experience
Brilliant introductory offers for first time users, saving money on both Railcard and first booking. No booking fees means I will be using ticketyboo for any trains in the future. Friendly easy to use app

Customisable…
I really like how simple the interface is but what I really appreciate is that I can customise my Home Screen to only show info relevant to me and my journeys. Great little app!!
