Nectar sleep is a scam of a company

Nectar sleep is a scam of a company. From day one I had an issue with my mattress. The mattress sunk tremendously and I myself and my young child had to seek medical attention on several occasion. I reached out to customer support and they stalled and at times ignored my emails. I purchased “insurance” for the mattress but that was pointless. They claim to have a “lifetime warranty” however it’s so agonizing to get a replacement. It’s been two years and my issue has not been resolved. This company is trash.

Avoid them or regret it too

Almost a month. Still not delivered. They keep telling me it has been. Almost $1000 on a box bed that I am apparently not getting. Their customer service people are not helpful. FedEx is not helpful. Terrible experience all around and very upset about the money I do not have for something I did not get.

We purchased our King nectar mattress…

We purchased our King nectar mattress and frame December of 2019 from Katapult for $1300 and it was not bad at first but as time went on the mattress got less and less firm and doesnt support like when new. Now over 2 years later it's just uncomfortable. Also to mention the frame is cheap paper thin aluminum the middle section started folding in and broke after about a year and had to cut some 2x6 and place under to support the bed and me and my wife are not overweight I'm 6 foot 215 punds she's 5 7 about 150 pounds. Now just yesterday the frame came appart in the middle and it was not from being lose. The bolts wore through where it recesses into the frame and came appart. I am a mechanic and it was put together as it should. Now we half to go get another bed that we really can't afford at the moment. I would not recommend them and this is being as honest as can be about the whole experience.

Had mattress just short of two years my husband side has dipped can’t turn it now as it’s awful for me to sleep in dip husband had hated mattress for last year had a guy come out with his ruler dips just under the 3cm they say it has to be so not prepared to do anything more warranty not worth anything best bit od advice to anyone if your over 10;stone don’t bother as will dip

Defective mattress, horrible customer service

Sent me a defective mattress and then wasted an hour of my time on the phone trying to get a replacement. They claim they didn’t revive the photos I sent them of the defect (mattress has barely expanded after five days). They say they’ll call me back but haven’t. I’m a disabled veteran with two blown discs awaiting back surgery and have had nowhere to sleep for five days now.

DO NOT BUY! Untrustworthy! I’M TAKING THEM TO COURT FOR COMPENSATION

I want to give minus 100 score…
First mattress, after a few months big dip, falling out of bed, very painful I’ve got Fibromyalgia.
Had to fight for a replacement, we’re insisting on an inspection mid COVID restrictions and I’m extremely clinically vulnerable. Told them I’m not risking my life, and they finally sent a replacement.
BUT..just under 6 months same defect appeared. Man came and did ‘tests’ by squashing mattress with hand and taking pictures and lying on it - no measuring visible in photos - extremely dirty hands no gloves - I’m still extremely vulnerable to COVID and other viruses- they said PPE would be used… COMPLETE NONSENSE. We failed test 🤦🏻‍♀️ Surprise surprise. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY. LIFETIME WARRANTY MEANS NOTHING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE don’t read your emails, their responses are cold, un compassionate, unprofessional, unhelpful and insulting to us when they should be thanking us. I’ll be pursuing compensation through our legal system; they took our £899 and we have NOTHING to show for it

DO NOT BUY!!!

I would give it no stars if this was an option. This company offers a forever warranty which is totally worthless. After reading the other negative reviews we all are experiencing the same problems. After a short while, the mattress is uncomfortable, lumpy and made of poor quality materials. The cover has ripped in the corners so is not robust enough to withstand a weekly bedding change to lift and tuck under a fitted sheet. I have had two inspections carried out by Homeserve who have carried out a minimal 10 minute test involving a quick lay on and measuring the dip. How are you supposes to judge a mattress in 10 minutes?! And obviously not interested. My advice is DO NOT BUY!! I shall be taking this matter further.

We tried the mattress

We tried the mattress. Which gave me back ache from day1. Called to arrange refund, still not been processed. I called numerous time to find out what’s happening with no response.they lie to say it’s being processed. Now thinking of getting UK consumer rights to look into it. It’s a scam.

Return- They take it to the dump=Great sustainability

I like a firm mattress but this is backbreaking despite saying a 6.5 firmness. My back was aching so I called to get it picked up after 2 weeks use.
I have now just received an email from "Anyjunk" that the company has hired to come dump our mattress rather than at least donating it. You have a sustainability message on your site, but dump on the side of the road a brand new mattress. Your company disgusts me.

Review from the UK. Mattress was good to start with, (we slept really well on it initially) although the quality of the bedding that came with it was substandard for the money. I a nut shell, don't with the bedding or mattress. The mattress protector in particular as it's not breathable and it makes you sweat, big time. It's been 18 months and the mattress needs replacing already and resembles a mattress of 8 to 10 years old. Big hump in the middle, sagging where we sleep (and we regularly spin the mattress around) It's in the same condition as the ergoflex it replaced after 9 years of use. £700.00 down the pan. Avoid.

This mattress is awful

This mattress is awful, and a total rip off.

I am a normal weight (13st) and my side of the mattress has completely collapsed. We have had someone out to test it (which envolves running a string across it with no weight on) to be told it is fine, despite him completely agreeing that my side of the mattress has softened.

Conversely, our £150 Ikea mattress is still going strong 10 years later.

I feel totally conned and will not rest till I get a refund (not to mention, terrible for the environment with the amount of replacements they have to give out)

When i first got the mattress, it had 4.5 stars on trust pilot, 2 years on you can see the rating plummet as people realize how bad these mattresses age.

Save your money!

Really pleased with our mattress, had it over a year now. Had an issue with the top going bobbley and breaking up, but customer services have sent us out a new cover for free! Happy with that! thanks

Well it is now 50 days and still waiting. Was told it would be here 12 July. The problem is, they did not give me a year!.. Perhaps it is time to file a complaint with BBB

If you don't get it on time, who cares how it sleeps

I really don't know how well this mattress sleeps; I just received it more that 5 weeks after placing my order. They shipped it on June 17th after my order was placed on May 21, 2021 and it didn't arrive at my house until June 28th. This is not totally Nectar's fault, but rather a good part of the blame lies with their chosen "partner" carrier, FedEx. I needed this mattress for guests and let Nectar know well ahead of time; their response was that they did not do any "expedited" shipping and apparently their "7 to 10 days" shipping timeframe is pretty much pure fiction. Anyway, in order to accommodate my guests, I had to take a mattress from my house, rent a van and take it to where it was needed. On arriving home, I found the rain-soaked Nectar mattress box sitting on the grass 3 feet from my covered front porch. Apparently, the 6 steps leading up to my porch were insurmountable to the FedEx driver. My point is that it doesn't matter how good your product is (which is in itself an unknown to me at this point) if you can't get it to your customer in a timely, safe manner.

Just choose a different mattress company.

Nectar Sleep will make you wait nearly a month to receive your mattress, if you’re lucky. They do not ship until weeks after purchase, customer service is incredibly passive aggressive and unhelpful, then when FedEx takes an additional several weeks to deliver (if ever) and gives you the run around, Nectar refuses to get involved, refuses to expedite a new mattress, and will only offer you $50 as reimbursement for false shipping advertisement and your stress. I still don’t have the mattress I paid nearly $1000 for. I’m disgusted. Save yourself and go with a different company. Nectar Sleep AND FedEx are both abhorrent and need to go out of business.

The Worst Service Experience of my Life

This has to be the worst service experience I have ever experienced with any company. Honestly, Genevieve was probably the best part of this catastrophe.

After ordering a replacement remote control for an adjustable bed frame, which seemed so wonderfully effortless upfront, it was decided by Nectar that an entire adjustable base was shipped instead. This seemingly generous offer to replace the whole unit resulted in much of my time wasted over the course of 6 weeks, extreme frustration, and now the hassle of having to dispose of the existing base, which is in mint condition.

On top of that, the replacement was initially shipped to the incorrect address despite me having confirmed the correct address at least three times with two different people. When I discovered it was at the incorrect address, I notified the Nectar team on the same day. After around 10 days, it had still not been collected with an agent telling me to reach out to FedEx myself to correct their mistake.

During this time, the focus of the customer service team was on the solely on the shipment delivered to the incorrect address, constantly badering me for more information and endless assistance. How hard would it have been for them to call their FedEx rep and ask them to collect the box?

All the while, as the customer waiting on the delivery of the adjustable base, I was receiving no information on when I would receive the replacement despite asking numerous times for an ETA. I needed to arrange for the trash collectors to remove the old base, and wanted that to happened around the same time as the delivery. That did not happen.

I was not provided with a tracking number this time around, and the delivery person delivered the shipment on the curb without ringing the doorbell or notifying me of the delivery. A neighbor rang my doorbell to tell me I had a delivery on the street, which I then had to drag inside myself. I live alone up two flights of stairs.

There isn’t much I can think of that could’ve made this situation worse. Thanks for the free $25 dollar blanket, Nectar! My time is worth a lot more than a blanket I don’t even need and I certainly could've done with out the aggravation of this debacle.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. It is by far the worst company I've ever dealt with. Not the worst mattress company. The worst company! Their customer service is HORRIBLE. They said my mattress and frame would be delivered by April 1, 2021. One week later (sleeping on the floor the whole time) its still not here. I called everyday, and everyday they just kept saying, "it's scheduled to be delivered today." Then it doesn't show, and the next day, they tell you the same thing, keeping you hanging on for "just one more day." Hard to understand the customer service people because of the thick accents. My opinion, customer service is not in the USA. You can here lots of people/noise in the background like customer service is in a call center in India or something similar.

They tried to say I called them after my order was placed, and changed my delivery address to a home 4 doors north of me. So it was my fault it hasn't arrived now. NEVER HAPPENED! They brought up my address for my home in Florida.. I have no idea how they got that. It wasn't from me. Then they tried to appease me by giving me $50 off my order. NEVER RECEIVED IT.

UPDATE:

My mattress was delivered today. The box was soaking wet, and looks like it was drug behind the truck, not delivered in a truck. AND, they shipped my bedframe to an address I lived in 2 homes ago, 6 hours away. I don't even know how they got that old address.

This watter-logged ratty looking box is going back to Nectar. Wish I'd of looked at more reviews than the Nectar websites own reviews and the reviewers that sell Nectar products or are paid by Nectar.

UPDATE #2

You will have to fight to get your money back. They don't want to honor their return policy. Not surprising after all this. PS Don't accept the "free" sheets/pillows/mattress protector. They won't take them back, and will charge you hundreds of dollars for what you can buy at Walmart for $50. This is almost a criminal enterprise in my personal opinion. They have multiple ways to extract money out of you. Disgusting!

UPDATE #3

Nectar sent Fed-Ex to my neighbor's house to pick up the items I'm returning, (nothing was ever delivered there) instead of to the other wrong house (the one 6 hours away from where I live) where they delivered the bed frame. I'm beginning to think Nectar is doing this on purpose. You couldn't get it THIS WRONG unless you were trying really hard to. In my humble opinion, you should,
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. You'll regret dealing with them. I sure am.

Horrific company from start to finish

Horrific company from start to finish, I say finish but that's saying something that hasn't happened yet. I ordered a bundle that included a king size mattress, mattress protector, pillows, bedding and a duvet.

Where to start? The mattress is the wrong size, there's a sizeable gap to the bedframe. I opened the packaging for the pillows and mattress protector when I received them, that was a mistake. I've had conflicting information from their customer service since the very first time I contacted them. First it was ok to return everything, then it was only the mattress I could return and only after 30 days. When I pointed out details on their own website that conflicted with what they were telling me, they agreed I could return everything as long as it was in it's original packaging. Again, this conflicts with their own website. Open and unused is fine to return according to the website but not according to customer services! Eventually they agreed to that and arranged a collection, when I asked the company collecting the goods why they were only mentioning a mattress they told me they were only collecting that. I questioned Nectar on this and they're now saying they won't accept the return of the other items!

You couldn't make this crap up.

If you're thinking of ordering from this company, don't.

Lack of customer service

I purchased the mattress Sunday morning around 8am. At 6pm that same day I called to cancel my order, because I went to a brick n mortar store and after testing mattress knew it was not a good fit.
I was told by the customer service rep that they can not confirm cancellation, even though website shows it will not ship for another 2-5 days.
In my opinion this is horrible customer service as to why they can not confirm a same day cancellation.
I will never do business with this company in the future. I will update this review on how the cancellation goes as we move forward. However, as for now it shows a lack of concern for customer care.

Update, they still have not shipped mattresses yet the pending charge has now been put through as a real charge.
This is not a reliable company do not trust them with your credit card information.
