Solar PV and Battery installation
I had a solar PV and battery system installed by the team at NextGen. They were very accommodating and helped me choose the right setup for my specific needs—we opted for a 10kWh battery and a 5kWh inverter from FoxEss.
The team came out to discuss our options in detail and helped me decide exactly where the equipment should go. The installation itself was quick and professional; all cables and trunking were neatly routed and look great.
They provided clear information on expected solar gains and potential savings. Even without factoring in the solar gains or SEG yet, we are making significant savings just by charging the battery on our cheap overnight tariff. I’m looking forward to seeing the results over the summer!
P.S. The app is simple to use for monitoring solar generation and battery charge. Also, the inverter is compatible with tariffs like Octopus Agile, meaning it can send energy back to the grid at peak times for a much higher unit cost than the standard 6p SEG rate.
All in all, a top job. Thanks to Rees and the crew!

Really pleased with NextGen Energy…
Really pleased with NextGen Energy Solutions. When researching solar there were so many options and companies out there, it was hard to know what would be best for me. I chose NextGen as they were local to me and recommended by a colleague and gave a really good price. They explained everything clearly in simple terms and helped me choose the right system without any pressure. The team were friendly, professional and the workmanship was top quality. Would definitely recommend, especially if you’re new to it all like I was.
