Updated - Poor Warranty Support Despite Manufacturer Confirmation
Update: Northern Fitness reached out by email and a phone call. They did take ownership and apologized for the issue. This was resolved immediately. Everyone deserves an opportunity to fix problems. It took some time, but this was resolved to my satisfaction.
I would give them another opportunity and change my recommendation based on the final end result. I have kept my original narrative for context.
Original:
I purchased Nuobell adjustable dumbbells from Northern Fitness in December 2025. One dumbbell had a minor adjustment issue from the start, and the collar has now separated completely.
I submitted a warranty request through their official support form, followed up twice, and left two voicemails. It has now been over two weeks with no response whatsoever.
I contacted Nuobell directly and received a response within 24 hours. They reviewed the issue and confirmed it should be covered under warranty, advising that a replacement handle should be issued — but it must be processed through Northern Fitness.
While Nuobell has been excellent to deal with, Northern Fitness has been entirely unresponsive, leaving me stuck despite a confirmed warranty claim.
This level of customer service is unacceptable for a distributor handling premium equipment.
BUYER BEWARE - Don't expect your order on-time or if there are issues, that they'll resolve them

We have since made numerous efforts (in-person; follow-up emails; filing a complaint with Northern Fitness customer service and escalating to store managers). The Company has gone silent, is ignoring our requests, and still (as of April 1, 2026) has not fulfilled our order - now going on 8 months. Buyers should know that their commitment to 90-day delivery is far from the truth and you should consider other companies and options to order your products. Also, do not rely on their customer service to address any issues, nor their escalation mechanisms internally.

I spoke to a sales rep about a leg press machine, one that was out of stock. He said it was in stock and on sale for about half price. I went online to purchase it with a first reponder discount and using afirm no interest. But 2h later I realized it was the wrong leg press. I called to cancel the order 4 times, left a message. I was charged about 6h later. Called the next day to confirm the cancellation. They charged me 10% restocking for an order I cancelled and which was placed because of a confusing conversation with the sales rep.
I was still looking to purchase the leg press I was looking for, the one I saw in store, the one I was on a an email list to purchase. They could have refunded me directly so I could pay affirm with no restocking fee but they chose to do it that way.
No updates, wrong dates, wrong product

I ordered a power rack that was listed as a floor model, therefore, discounted. After 15 days I had heard nothing but they did charge my card. I emailed to get an update and they said it was “in customs” for an extended period of time, delaying my shipment. I told them that it was a floor model and questioned why it would be in customs. They said they made a mistake and my shipment would be coming Thursday March 26th (I placed my order March 4th). I got the instructions and a delivery window time. They emailed me again and said it was going to be delayed another week because it wasn’t ready yet. I am confused on how disassembling a floor model could take this much time and still not be ready to ship? I will absolutely never buy another product from northern fitness going forward and I suggest you don’t either. Check out fitness avenue for better customer service and similar products.
Slow turn around but you will get your order
Posting this review to hopefully help anyone unsure or wanting a more in-depth review. I ordered through the Shop app (they had a $30 off deal). I ordered a GoRuck vest and weight plates on Saturday 7th Feb. I received a confirmation email and then heard nothing till Friday 13th Feb when it shipped (they state in their email and on their website their processing time for parcel/package mail is 5-7 days). I received my packages Tuesday 17th Feb. Giving 4-stars as the plates and vest were packed separately (plates in a box and vest in a bag) so depending on the courier that could go one of two ways. Not sure how well bulk/large orders would go, but for smaller orders they were fine. If you're willing to wait, they have good pricing and a wide selection of gear.

I’m not sure why all the bad reviews? I ordered a jump sport pro. I’m in western Canada. Product was shipped almost on time in great condition. There was a carrier delay, but only a delay of three days. Very happy with my purchase. 😀

Very inaccurate delivery times. In 23 days since I've ordered I still have no ETA on an order that cost over $3000.
Rather poor customer service as I have not received any response to my emails, and very little information when I call.

Upfront Payment Taken, No Delivery or Updates
This purchase has been extremely disappointing. I paid over $5,000 upfront and was initially promised the power rack would be ready for pickup within four to five days, then the timeline was extended to two weeks, and now a month has passed with no shipment and only a generic automated apology email. Delays are understandable, but charging immediately without having the product ready to ship is unacceptable. Failing to deliver the item or provide accurate updates reflects very poor service and raises serious concerns about the company’s reliability.

Delays, no updates, and I felt let down, especially because I genuinely wanted to support Northern Fitness and their house brand Orion. I’ve always believed in backing Canadian companies that put effort into good-quality gym gear, so the whole thing really bothered me.
But credit where it’s due:
Northern Fitness stepped up in a big way.
Once they dug into what happened, they didn’t just patch things up… they completely turned the experience around. They communicated clearly, fixed every issue, and made sure I wasn’t just “helped,” but genuinely taken care of. You can tell when a company actually values its customers — and Northern Fitness proved that with their actions.
What impressed me most is how they handled the situation professionally, respectfully, and with zero excuses. They made things right, restored my confidence, and honestly went above what I expected. That tells me everything I needed to know about who they are as a company.
So here’s the bottom line:
Because of the way they owned the situation and made it better, I’m 100% sticking with Northern Fitness. I’ll continue supporting their Orion brand — not just because I like the products, but because they showed they stand behind what they sell and they stand behind their customers.

I ordered an Orion Kettlebell Storage Rack from Northern Fitness for my clinic. Unfortunately, the experience ended with a complete non-delivery and no resolution from the company.
1. Shipping Method
Northern Fitness sent the order using a no-signature-required shipment without consulting me. For a heavy, high-value, multi-box order, this left the delivery completely unsecured.
2. UPS Delivery Photo
UPS marked the shipment as delivered, but the photo they provided shows the boxes left in a random apartment/condo hallway that looks nothing like my clinic:
No unit number
No business signage
Not my floor, not my building
Clearly not my address
My suite's entrance is well-marked, and I provided Northern Fitness with photos showing the difference.
3. Product Never Arrived
The kettlebell rack never arrived at my location.
It appears to have been delivered to the wrong building entirely.
4. Vendor Response
I contacted Northern Fitness with all the evidence. Once I pointed out that the shipping method they chose offered no delivery verification, communication from the company completely stopped.
To-date:
No replacement.
No refund.
No pro-active follow-up.
No claim initiated with UPS (which apparently only the shipper can file).
5. Outcome
I was left with no product, a UPS delivery photo of someone else’s hallway, and no helpful action from the seller.
Bottom Line
Based on my experience:
Shipping decisions were made without buyer consultation
Delivery was mishandled
The product never arrived
The seller stopped communicating instead of resolving the issue
Buyers should be aware that if something goes wrong with shipping, there may be no support or resolution.

We purchased a kettlebell rack for our gym, but the experience has been extremely disappointing. Two weeks after placing the order, only part of the rack arrived — the second box was missing, making assembly impossible. We emailed twice with no response, then had to call multiple times before finally being told that the missing box would be shipped and we would receive a $20 reimbursement for the inconvenience. The reimbursment never happened.
Two weeks later, the missing box finally arrived, but the metal holes did not align properly, so the rack could still not be assembled. We reached out again requesting a refund with the pictures of the holes, and received no response. We ultimately kept a dysfunctional rack and were left without any support.
Given this ongoing lack of customer service and the fact that we have had similar issues with this company in the past, we strongly recommend purchasing elsewhere.

I ordered a set of adjustable dumbells from them financing via Affirm on interest free payments, and cancelled the order within an hour of ordering them as I found them cheaper elsewhere. Northern Fitness responded saying I could only get store credit back as I had purchased via Affirm which I knew not to be true as I had used Affirm before. When I pushed back they said that Affirm will charge them a fee of 10% so they would pass that charge onto me - it took them 3 days to respond to my initial email by which time Affirm had marked the item as confirmed. Given the terrible service I decided to take the hit, but then they deducted 10% of the overall cost not the amount I had put on Finance with Affirm. I will never use this company again - very poor communication.
An all around great shopping experience
Prices were great. Made some cost prohibitive equipment accessible. Customer service was quick to answer the phone and all questions knowledgeably. Time to ship was about a week for products in stock and two for ones not in stock. Both shipping times were made clear at time of purchase. Would absolutely buy from them again should the need arise.

I ordered dumbbells and a weight rack from Northern Fitness. When I reached out to Loomis, who was responsible for delivering the goods, they weren't able to guarantee exact delivery dates for my packages. I immediately reached out to Northern Fitness directly via email and was helped by their Director of Ops, Eric. He was quick to respond and worked with Loomis on my behalf to provide me with information on my packages' expected delivery dates. When the goods arrived, I was impressed by their quality and the condition in which they arrived. I fully recommend Northern Fitness. Thank you, Eric, for your fantastic customer service.
Would give less if I could
Would give less if I could. Absolutely terrible service. Purchased a weight rack. It was either damaged by the shipping company or it was already damaged upon shipment, so it was returned by shipping company. Waited a week to find out what would happen, got no word from Northern Fitness. I emailed and called with no responses. They finally indicate that they could send a new one but they are out of stock and wouldn't get a new shipment until a month later. They offered a discount on next purchase...to which I told them to apply on this one given the delays. Then while waiting for the shipment, I saw on their website that they were selling these same racks significantly discounted, so asked when they expected shipment and if they would price match, to which they answered that there would be an additional 2 week delay and they couldn't price match because purchase was made more than 30 days from change in price (which was not at all true). Overall absolute garbage service.
Fake company run by clowns
It's a fake company with a fake website. I placed an order, and it never came.
Then I got an email from a different person everyday from this "company" saying how it's on its way and how they have some internal issues. This went on for two weeks.
Internal issues?? To ship a couple of canes and foot rollers? That's complicated?
Luckily, I used PayPal and I reported them to PayPal. When I told them I did so, they issued a refund.
Just avoid them. Learn from my mistake.

The worst service. Customer service is unbelieveable poor and they change the delivery dates after you buy the items. I'm now waiting two months for items that had 5-10 working days delivery.
There are plenty of other providers so my advice is to use others that probably take more care of their customers.
