They charge high interest rate. You would apply and wouldn't hear from them from months. In fact, if you want to find out your status, you have to hound them. Then likely they will reject you anyways which consider it a blessing!

Had some issues at first however Mona S handled it. Communication was quick and the issue was resolved and funded.
I applied for 500$ gave all my banking informations, then nothing!!! They are like ghost. I wrote them 3-4 times no response until I told them that I would report them to the fraud department and cops. Went to my bank after work to close my account and guess what. The money was in my account. I really have a bad feeling about them. No follow up, nobody calls you back. NOTHING They better take only the amount stated in the agreement I signed. If not I’ll sue them. A load of problems and stress that nobody needs our days.
Theyll send you money even if you tell them you dont want to accept the loan. they wont provide you repayment instructions because they want you to be stuck passed the cool down period.
Totally illegal and unethical practices.

after BBB sent my complaint I was contacted with instructions to pay back.
The lender has yet to confirm receipt of my etransfer + screenshot proof and consequential closing of my account with them.
For anyone facing issues with NorthStar and its subsidiaries gatekeeping thw cool-off period, their etransfer email is payments @ northstarbrokers.ca
If they arent giving you access to this, I would include the email address you applied with originally in the communication box, i would make the password for the etransfer the password they originally give you in the contract for their payment to you (and same question). I would then send a screenshot of your repayment via etransfer to the same email address you send the payment to (as provided above).
DO NOT BORROW FROM THESE CROOKS! I borrowed $300 from them and expecting a high interest rate. I noticed they kept withdrawing payments from me and I emailed them 5 times and called 4 times with no response for a month or more. They finally replied to my email and sent my balance. They said I owed them $1200! Four times the amount I borrowed. I asked them why and they sent me another email saying my account was closed. They are absolute crooks.
These people are crooks, first they charged me DOUBLE the amount stated in the contract weekly for 3 months. I was supposed to pay 109 weekly and they charged me 220. And when I tried to email them about their mistake they either don't respond or don't do anything to fix it. I had to put stop payments on them because I kept getting NSF fees. I finally got a hold of them to fix their error and they put me into collections, further ruining my credit. Worst company ever, they don't even a phone number to contact them, just a message box they never answer.
After applying and giving all my info and access to my bank account and getting an approval email ...well now absolutely nothing ... is this how the business runs ?
