Excellent advice provided for the situation in hand.

My child and friends rented an apartment via openrent. The landlord failed to handover the apartment, citing financial distress and she was forced to sell the apartment to a cash buyer (without the tenancy agreement!!!) She refused to return the 6 months advance rental and 5 weeks deposit paid. My child complaint to NRLA, the reply they got is they act for landlord, not tenants. They do not entertain complaints made by tenants against landlord and asked my child to seek legal advice!

I have been a member for several years and now more than ever I appreciate the solid support, resources, and up to the minute information given the multiple challenges facing the Private Renting sector. their professional support is priceless.

Brilliant course, would highly recommend. I’m just starting journey from BTL landlord with small refurbs to looking at development opportunities and this was the perfect course. Content was thorough and comprehensive. The trainer, Henry Davis, is very experienced and was super engaging and open throughout, being clear about the upsides of property development and the downsides and potential pitfalls, and how to avoid them!

I had a great, detailed training today with Henry Davis regarding "The Property Refurbishment". Henry showed many details in steps of doing refurbishment and how to work with builders and manage the project fund payment from small to more than £100k projects. These are a real-life and real experiences from Henry who has more than 35 year experiences in conversion from flips to commercials to residentials. Honestly, just in 1 day but the information and learning are a lot and useful for new or with a few project experiences. Also Henry did go through some tips about how to find properties and valuation and mindsets plus little tips in designs and maximize room spaces and save money on furniture.
So it is really worth for a day with so much learning even for new beginners and half way developer.

Great course on property refurbishment from Henry Davis. We received lots of practical advice and very valuable course materials, including a workbook in pdf and a spreadsheet to project manage the refurbishment works.

I have received a vitriolic, accusatory letter written from a "warped view of reality" from tenants after serving a S.21 notice which contained various legal threats and demands. I wanted to check that the methodologies of my planned responses were the most appropriate and that legally I hadn't overlooked anything I needed to. I also wanted to double check my understanding of what could happen at the expiry of the 2 months' notice period as I haven't had a tenant likely to ignore this, and plan to remain at the property until it suits their personal plan. The NRLA advisor allowed me to spend some time initially explaining the history and facts of the tenancy to date before paraphrasing the sections of the nasty letter (the gross inaccuracies, legal threats and demands made). I was glad of reassurance and confirmation of procedure.
