Thank you for the great customer service we love our new car
We were welcomed by Natalie when we first arrived and she promptly got the keys to the vehicle we were interested in. She then left us to look at the vehicle without any preasure. When we decided that we loved it she listened to our questions and put our mind at ease by organising the vehicle to be valeted and ready to drive home the same day and organised for me to return it at a later date to fix the very few issues that there was on the car at no extra cost. She did advise us of all the extras we could purchase like extended premium warranty but she respected our budget and finalised the sale with no pressured additional costs. We would like to thank Natalie for everything she has done for us today her customer service was excellent and we were very happy with our new car.

Stress free purchase of a Proace Verso 9 seater
I recently bought a Proace Verso from Oakwood Motor Company in Bury, and the experience was flawless. It was the best price on the market for the mileage and age, so I didn't even feel the need to haggle.
I dealt with Yasar, who made the entire remote purchase seamless. Between work commitments, I couldn't get to the showroom, but after a few digital signatures and a bank transfer, the car was delivered to my house in short order by a superb delivery driver.
There was zero pressure and no attempts to upsell, just genuine service. In an industry that can have a questionable reputation, Oakwood (and Yasar specifically) proved to be the exception. The vehicle arrived exactly as described and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommended if you're looking for a stress-free, honest purchase.

I had a really great experience with this dealership from start to finish. Olivia Hall, who assisted me, was especially helpful she was professional, friendly, and made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free.
She took the time to answer all my questions, explained everything clearly, and never made me feel pressured at any point. You can tell she genuinely cares about making sure customers are comfortable and happy with their choice.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BUYING FROM OAKWOOD MOTOR COMPANY/ HERO FINANCE
I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before purchasing a car from this dealership.
I purchased a vehicle (Mg zs) on 16th March, with full payment completed, and was initially told the car would be ready that same weekend pending standard checks. From that point on, I experienced repeated delays, poor communication, and ultimately a completely unacceptable outcome.
The timeline kept changing — from weekend collection, to the following week, to Saturday, then Sunday, and finally I was told the car would be delivered to me on Monday. On the day of delivery, I received no communication. My calls went unanswered, I was promised they’d ring back in 20 minutes, then rang again and told it’ll be 15 minutes and when I did eventually get a response, I was told they “can’t confirm anything until the morning.”
After ignoring my further calls,I visited the dealership in person, where staff appeared unprepared and dismissive. I was initially told the car was at with MG for EV updates. However, after further questioning, the truth came out — my car had actually been given to another customer as a courtesy vehicle. They tried to say they had done this before I bought the car, either way they had lied as he was updating me through out the weeks saying it had gone in for its checks and was in the queue for the next check, knowing full well someone else was driving around in it.
This is completely unacceptable. A car that I had already paid for in full was given to someone else, without my knowledge or consent.
They did offer to resolve this by-
- Paying my first month’s finance (which was due the next day despite me not having the car)
- Offering 14p per mile compensation for the inconvenience
Neither of these come close to addressing the seriousness of what happened.
I was also told who ever had my car was not local so who knows how many extra miles would have been put on my car. I have read in other reviews mileage had significantly gone up for other customers, so this is likely something they’ve done before.
Due to the lack of transparency, broken promises, and clear breach of trust, I have now cancelled the agreement entirely.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Certain members of staff are literally lying to your face, it was only when we asked which MG the car was at that they had to come clean! I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy!!!!

Rash the No1 guy!!
1st of all a huge thank you to my man Rash! An absolute gentleman and amazing customer service from the bloke, a credit to the dealership!
Bought a Mustang Mach E and unfortunately the home charger was missing from the vehicle, Rash rallied round and sought one out for me, again an absolute top bloke.
Traded in my old car as part of the purchase and everything was smooth and done with absolute professionalism.
I would recommend Oakwood to anyone looking to buy a new motor!

I recently purchased a 2019 Cupra 290…
I recently purchased a 2019 Cupra 290 Lux from this garage and unfortunately my experience has been disappointing.
Firstly, the service history/book was missing at the point of sale. I had to chase this multiple times before receiving anything, and even then it was still incomplete. For a performance car like this, a full service history is something I would expect to be properly provided without repeated requests.
Secondly, I never received the V5C logbook. I was told the garage had submitted a V62, but after waiting several weeks nothing arrived. When I followed this up, I was simply told to contact DVLA myself. I have now had to pay £25 out of my own pocket to request a replacement, which should not have been my responsibility.
Finally, the car had 2 advisories on the MOT despite being a 2019 vehicle purchased from a dealer. While not major faults, I would expect a dealership to address advisories before sale and provide a clean MOT for peace of mind.
Overall, the car itself is good, but the aftersales service and attention to detail have been poor. I would advise others to double-check documentation and ensure everything is complete before purchasing.

Stole my "fully refundable" deposit
Put down a £100 deposit to view a car, with every assurance that if I changed my mind, the money would be refunded. I didn't end up going with that car but the money has never reappeared in my account. Despite numerous phone calls and emails and repeated assurances that they were working on refunding me, I've never seen my money again. It's been over a month of painful calls and emails and being completely taken for a ride.
Zero faith in them and would not have any further dealings. £100 is a lot of money in this time of cost of living crisis and they've just stolen it. Can't visit them in person because we live several hours away now and don't have a car!
