Purchased backlit house sign, but the battery only lasts 1.5-2.0 hours when its dark as the unit requires 6 hours DIRECT sunlight to work for 8 hours. So unlike all other solar products that charge in daylight, not sunlight, these units are useless. We are now in winter so this unit wont work when you need them most.

Fantastic customer service
Fantastic customer service. I ordered my postbox from here because it was the only place that sold a Matt black postbox for a reasonable price! First one arrived and was damaged, Lee handled the replacement exceptionally! I emailed on Friday and this must have been replaced and sent on Saturday. New postbox arrived Monday! Would definitely use again

Lovely product
So far, very pleased with the design and look of the product. Discrete solar battery, not a large thing taking over half the space on the sign.
I note the comments about sunlight and battery time. My box stated it works and will charge on cloudy days, so I will see. So far, so good.

I Love my house sign, even the delivery drivers have commented on it because they can see the number and street name clearly. Great value for money. I would Definitely recommend .

Read the small print - too late after
Item description in their listing buries the fact that their product will only work in very specific conditions, right at the end of the text. If this is so critical this should be emphasised at the start even, possibly, asking if purchaser understands siting requirements prior to accepting an order. Emails have been unhelpful.

Sorry you feel this way, we do have this signs requirements in the product description and we also have a blog attached. This is so customers can make an educated decision before purchasing. It does require 4-6 hours of direct sunlight.
I understand you think this should be but at the top of the product description but its in the description, its not hidden.

Good morning, hope you're well.
Sorry you feel this way, but the signs requirements are stated in the product description.
We state the sign requires 4-6 hours of direct sunlight, if its not direct its classed as in a shaded area (just daylight). The sign has 45 bright LEDs so needs to generate its power from direct sunlight.
The other solar products you mention that don't need direct sunlight will be low output, solar watches or solar powered calculators and so on, these are low output.
Ours are bright L.E.D signs that require direct sunlight for 4-6 hours, this is why we state this in our product description.
If you require a bright illuminated sign that doesn't enquire direct sunlight to operate we have a hardwired version available.
