Sending mail shots to my dead mum (who died 8 years ago)
One traveller have bought my deceased 90 year old Mum’s data from Sagacity! One Traveller’s latest (last week) mailshot for their latest advertising campaign was sent to my deceased Mum’s address (she died 8 years ago). It was forwarded onto me by the new residents at her old address. Sagacity have been asked for the last year to remove these out of date details as it is very distressing but they ignore the requests. The DPA rules mean nothing to them.

We are truly sorry for the distress this mailing caused and appreciate how upsetting it must have been to receive post addressed to your late mother. Please accept our sincere apologies for the hurt this has caused, clearly this was never our intention.
One Traveller takes data protection and respect for individuals extremely seriously. The contact details used for this mailing were obtained in good faith from Sagacity, a long-established data provider and ABTA partner who came highly recommended within our industry. We were not aware that the details related to someone who had passed away, nor that previous removal requests had been made. That said, we fully recognise that the source of the data does not lessen the emotional impact this situation has had, for which we truly apologise.
As soon as this was brought to our attention, the record was immediately removed from our systems to ensure no further contact. We are now raising this matter directly with Sagacity’s Data Protection Officer to understand how this occurred and to help prevent anything similar from happening in future.
Once again, we offer our sincere apologies for the distress caused and our heartfelt condolences. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Austrian Lakes for Christmas
Austrian Lakes for Christmas. Well organized tour, good, friendly hotel, excellent food and activities plus a fantastic tour manager, Tom Middleton. He bent over backwards to make sure everyone was happy. Only one complaint…..the bus driver was very good but never cleaned the outside of the bus, unlike other coach company drivers. Hard to see out of the windows!

My holiday in Japon was very well…
My holiday in Japon was very well organised, interesting visits, a bit of time to relax every evening.
My only reserve is that because of the free day in Kyoto being a bank holiday there was no possiblity visitiing a museum. I did mentionned the fact museums are not on the agenda of your tours on Morocco, that is something I did missed!!

The malaise of One Traveller Holidays
In June l booked to Puglia. I developed a serious spine problem just before leaving which necessitated a hospital operation. So I had to cancel. Insurance said it was pre-existing - no payout. This was my 15th OT holiday. I reached out to OT for a gesture of good will. My holidays have cost me circa £45,000. OT made about £6750 (15% margin). They hid behind the terms of booking, "already paid their suppliers" so could not help but they already had almost £7000 in the bank from me. Having spent over 5 months corresponding with OT nothing was forthcoming, no voucher, no Rodin award. Surprising and disappointing as I was a loyal customer. I will not be using OT again. I will tell all my golf buddies, my Church and all my friends about my experience. I now look forward to many trips with JUST YOU HOLIDAYS.
For goodness sake. I never asked for a refund. All l suggested was a token of support. You did not offer this though you have done it many times for other clients in the past.
What is it you don't understand that "I NEVER ASKED FOR A REFUND?"
Tell me why you have not offered a token voucher or similar.

A really good solo holiday company.
I really enjoyed my holiday with One Traveller to China. The whole experience was amazing, everything was planned out. At times a little fast pace but they tried to fit lots in. Really good hotel accommodation, internal flights and meals.

I have enjoyed all of the OneTraveller…
I have enjoyed all of my OneTraveller holidays. Recently been on the Kenya holiday, the safaris were amazing, I never thought I would get so close to wildlife. The hot air balloon trip over the Maasai Mara reserve is something I will never forget.
