AVOID
AVOID. Appalling. I arranged a scan with One Welbeck for an injury suffered in a fall and timing was important. I was advised that the scan report would be provided within 48 hours. I was subsequently advised that my consultant was away and the report would not be provided until his return in a few weeks.
The company will not release the scan results so I have no idea as to the extent of my injury or next steps I should take.
Extortionately expensive and will force you to have multiple consultancy appointments (chargeable) in order to receive any tests you undertake.
Strongly advise using another provider.
Deyana from Welbeck imaging and diagnostic
My experience at One Welbeck began with a bit of frustration, as I was seen later than expected and had initially planned to complete my full treatment pathway — consultation and CT scan — on the same day. By the time I reached Imaging & Diagnostics, it was already five past closing and the team were preparing to finish for the day. Not fully realising the time, I asked if it would still be possible to arrange my scan. This is where Deyana truly stood out.
Deyana responded with absolute professionalism, calmness and expertise. Without hesitation, she kindly offered to reboot her laptop — despite the clinic officially closing — and handled the situation with remarkable efficiency and warmth. Not only did she secure a CT scan appointment for me, but she managed to find availability the very same day, just 30 minutes later. I was genuinely impressed by her dedication and customer-centric approach. What began as a stressful moment turned into complete reassurance and renewed confidence in One Welbeck as one of the most reliable clinics in London. Deyana’s commitment to excellence and patient care is outstanding. Please extend my sincere thanks to her — and to her manager, who has clearly provided exceptional training and leadership to cultivate such high standards.

From the moment I arrived, met by a nurse who took mdle to a clean and well equipped room.
Visited by anethatist before my heart ablation who explained everything brilliant , put me totally at ease.
Seen by Professor Richard Schilling before the procedure who again explained everything and made me very comfortable .
All went well. The nursing staff were exceptional.
I would not hesitate to recommend Welbeck to any client.
My heart procedure was a complete success and the follow up excellent.
Thank you all.

As my daughter, 19 years old, is having seizures, she was diagnosed unofficially with non-epileptic attack disorder by Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich without any tests. The neurologist from NHS East Surrey Hospital referred her for an EEG, but with no urgency. As the seizures are ongoing and worsening, we are looking to get these diagnostic tests done privately, but the trouble is that the Welbeck centre requires a consultant letter stating that she needs an EEG. Unfortunately, her neurologist consultant from East Surrey Hospital hasn't given the information that Welbeck needs to go ahead with the diagnostic test (all the proper details about the tests, consultant GMC, consultant email address, and signature). We sent an email to PALS/SASH to request a proper letter, but they have only managed to pass it on to the Neurophysiology team. What can I do if they do not reply to me? I find it a bit ridiculous since there is a diagnosis, although not official, and I am paying out of my own expenses but I find unprofessional to force us to pay more.
Bad - for a range of reasons
As soon as you make contact with this place, prepared to be bombarded with emails and text messages about registration and then after the appointment with the usual, endless 'how did we do' surveys. What happened to data protection? I did not consent to have my personal details used for marketing purposes.
Also, don't expect to find the location easily. Not surprising, given that the building doesn't display either the street number or the name on the exterior of the building.
Once inside it is not much better. Indifferent and passive-aggressive staff, grubby carpets, generally tatty. My excellent consultant offers his services at other private hospitals - and that is where I shall l go next time.
Wonderful team.
What a supportive and understanding experience - from reception to medics and and anesthesia ("Dr Gas").
What a shamble of a company
What a shamble of a company. Takes several calls and emails just tyo book an appointment. What organisational choas. Lord help us can they even do healthcare diagnostics and assessments. A lot need to be proven.
MEDICAL TEAM FANTASTIC - BUT ACCOUNTS!!!!!
MEDICAL TEAM FANTASTIC.
Admin. Contact. Accounts - all dire.
I have been trying all day to contact the finance department - I want to PAY THEM £500,
Main switchboard number on permanent answer phone. And despite leaving details they don't call back
No way on their web site to e mail them about paying.
Guess they must be making such huge profits the odd £500 means nothing to them
Overall good but poor accounts
Overall good, but they have stupidly set up two separate accounts for me and seem unable to merge them, despite multiple requests.
Customer Service
Submitted an email via website with my symptoms and requesting information on what consultant speciality would be suited to help resolve my situation. No response ever received.
If this is the level of service offered to potential paying customers, look elsewhere.
Modern, clean, and comfortable clinic
Modern, clean, and comfortable clinic, great staff. Very well located too.
Hello all Onewelbeck
Hello all! I had my second surgery there under the care of magnificent Professor Dame Regan more than a month ago. Again, I was treated with so much carefulness and gentleness by every person I encountered, from the reception team at the groundflour reception who immediately directed me to the right department, to the surgery team( I must mention Raj, an absolute delight of an employee and another lady who was an angel sent), to the nurses who looked after me. Special thanks to Charlene whose smile and sweet words made my admission truly smooth to the sweet lady who was concerned of my potential seizure , an absolute kindness and compassion. I hope I am not surpassing any of the other members of the surgery team who were so mindful and made me feel like home. If it was an upper grade than “A” I would have given it. Thank you again for this outstanding treatment. Merry Christmas everyone 💋
Dr Mittal
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I experienced during my recent visit to One Welbeck Hospital. My appointment was on the 28th of October 2024 at 16:15 with Dr Mittal. This was obviously scheduled as a private consultation, for which I took time off work, travelled a considerable distance, and rearranged my day. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was informed that my appointment had been cancelled without any prior notification.
I received no email or phone call advising me of this cancellation, which is entirely unacceptable. After traveling all the way to London, I learned from the receptionist that the cancellation list had been communicated to you’re the PA of Dr Mittal, and it was the secretary’s responsibility to notify patients. Despite this, when I called the secretary as advised, I was met with a dismissive response, with her blaming the error on One Welbeck’s processes. This lack of accountability and communication has left me extremely dissatisfied.
Paula was extremely helpful who was on reception, she advised that the list had been sent and it was the Secretary responsibility, however Dr Mittal’s secretary was solely blaming the staff at One Welbeck and there was no accountability on either side which is extremely unprofessional.
In addition to the wasted time and resources spent on a three-hour return journey, I am disappointed that One Welbeck did not meet the high standard of professionalism and patient care I expected. As the doctors and staff are representatives of your hospital, I hold One Welbeck ultimately responsible for ensuring that communication with patients is clear, timely, and reliable.
Extreme violation of the norms of informed consent
I raised a formal complaint, because I was told a falsehood to convince me to proceed with a procedure. I have a preference to not have any awareness-altering drugs, especially opioids, administered. I went there for endoscopy. Communicated my preference to the doctor. Was told by a doctor I’d be asleep during the procedure. Just before the procedure, was told by the anesthesiologist that it will be under sedation instead of general anesthesia and that I might be conscious during the procedure, which was explicitly the opposite of what I’d be comfortable with. A doctor then explained that I wouldn’t be able to get it done under general anesthesia anywhere in the UK (which is actually not true) and insisted that I could trust them (a phrase he repeated multiple times while I already had IV in my hand). I was not told which medications would be used, didn’t know opioids were involved, and was pressured into proceeding. After the procedure, I noticed abnormalities with my reflectivity, and wrote them an email asking for a list of medications used. They replies, and opioids were used despite my very strong preference.
I would’ve chosen a different clinic if I knew that would be the case in advance or had time to check that others indeed perform the procedure under general anesthesia.
This was an extreme violation of the norms of informed consent and of my body.
Fantastic experience at OneWelbeck
Fantastic experience from start to finish. My brother had an appointment with Professor Suveer Singh who is so kind and understanding. He didn't rush us at all.
The staff on reception were brilliant and there was a gentleman called Fritzgerald who helped us too.
An overall great experience.
Thank you

I had some blood tests today at Onewelbeck Phlebotomy and was so impressed by Michelle and her kindness too. I hate having blood taken and normally faint but today I did not even know she was taking blood. Thank you.

I attended for fitting a pacemaker. My consultant cardiologist, Dr. Keene, was most attentive and reassuring. All the staff involved were welcoming, helpful and efficient.
Breast Screening
Having waited nearly 3 and a half years for a mammogram under the NHS breast screening program I decided I wanted to switch to an annual check up (my sister has had breast cancer.) After research I picked Onewelbeck as they seemed to have state of the art equipment and use AI. As you’d expect the hospital is like a hotel. I was checked in on time and a health professional came in and carried out my mammogram. The first thing she told me after was my breast density. I had never been told this before. I was A. When I went home and researched it this is to be standard practice in all states in the USA (from this September.) and considered best practice. Breast density affects how much BC a mammogram can pick up… the more dense your breasts the more likely a BC will be missed. So at Onewelbeck if your breasts are C or D (very dense) you are given an extra ultrasound as standard. As I had a breast density of A an ultrasound wasn’t required. I then went to sit in the waiting room and about ten minutes later the health professional came and told me that I was fine after they were checked by the doctor and the AI. No waiting for an NHS letter for weeks! Also, Onewelbeck got all previous mammograms from the NHS to compare. They have a portal and this process was easy. I will be using Onewelbeck again and would honestly recommend them to others for mammograms.
Flawless care and professional expertise
I received flawless care from the endoscopy team at One Welbeck in December. My scan was carried out by Dr Mawdsley under the care of anaesthetist Dr Hern and nurses Cynthia, Richelle, Caroline and Matilda who were all superb. They are matchless in their professional expertise, kindness, approachability, warmth, competence and clarity of communication. I could not have been in better hands and was incredibly grateful to them. They really earned my trust and created a safe environment for a difficult situation. I could not recommend them more highly.
