We have just completed a full redesign of bathroom area. We visited 4 tile shops and without doubt the Durham branch of Original Style was head and shoulders above the rest. The range of quality tiles in inspiring room displays was fantastic. The colour choices was like walking into a rainbow. We were not rushed. The highly supportive and knowledgeable staff listened patiently and suggested alternative options when asked to coordinate with our plans. Recommended 100%

I am fitting a new bathroom and have ordered fittings etc from several businesses. The service at original style Southampton has excelled above all of the others, even though there was a mix up on the order they have not once asked for order numbers or photos etc like others but just sorted the issue immediately.

Used Original Style in Exeter recently for a hallway project , I never knew you could buy authentic looking Victorian Style tiles with a modern look ! Fantastic, the staff were very knowledgeable from helping work out how many tiles I needed to refunding my unused boxes 10/10

I ordered original style tiles for my kitchen and shower.
It took 3 attempts to receive kitchen tiles that were of consistent quality. I understand that these are ‘handmade’ tiles however the colour of the first batch was a very different shade from the sample and another batch had a very inconsistent pattern.
Now a year after fitting I find that the pattern on the shower tiles is actually rubbing off!! This is particularly noticeable on the built in shower shelf but is also apparent in areas that receive more water contact. This is absolutely gutting. Will I be left with plain white gloss tiles in a couple of years??
Handmade tile inconsistency excuses is one thing but tiles made for showers that have a wash off design is a disgrace especially considering the cost of these tiles. I am awaiting OS response about the shower tiles.

We ordered some tiles for our kitchen. 80% came scratched because of no protection or packaging.
The customer service people were unhelpful and did not want to know.
As a result we have lost a lot of money plus had to pay for damaged wall.
Very expensive tiles with no support, bad packaging and very poor customer service.
Avoid.

I don't usually write reviews but my experience with this Company has been exceptional. Having looked at around 5 tile showrooms in Plymouth, this one stood out by a mile. The team kept in touch informing me of potential suitable arrivals, but with no pressure to buy. Eventually after much searching, nothing matched the quality of the tile I originally saw so I went back. What really impressed me was the going the extra mile to be helpful in terms of colour match, samples (Caitlin), delivery planning/updates, all staff seemed informed of the order no matter who or when I spoke to them (so unusual to find this!) I was then given information on primers/grout etc, I'll be honest I thought B&Q would be cheaper but that wasn't the case. So once again the same standard of excellent service was delivered by Chris and his team. Many thanks from a very happy customer. I'll definitely be back when we do the bathroom!!

The staff were so helpful and just couldn't do enough for me.
They matched a beautiful floor tile to go with what I wanted for my feature wall, I was impressed.
I just wish that I had more rooms to design and tile.

Very well run store with great stuff which know what they are selling.
They have a good knowledge about all the available products.
Great choice of tiles and high quality adhesives, grouts, silicones, trims and some tiling equipment.
I always recommend OS to my clients.

Very helpful staff, from helping carry to and fro from car to helping with tile decisions and grout choices. fantastically competitive on price compared to B&Q etc. i wouldnt bother looking anywhere else in the future.

Original Style in Hillington is a beautiful tile showroom displaying a wide range of stunningly designed tiles of the very best quality. The staff are super helpful, and understand that it can take some time for a customer to mull over and choose exactly what their room needs. Personally I would t go anywhere else for my tiles.

My customer bought some white field tiles along with borders dados etc
When fixing them I have two windows and a external boxing to tile
I have had a response which is completely unacceptable exceptable I have been told that you may have the odd glazed edge tile in a box but no guarantee (ridiculous)
I told original style that if your tiles are supposed to replicate victorian tiles then they would have glazed edges is that's what they used to do
She told me that tiles are handmade not machine made so why in earth would you not glaze some

Being a professional tiler if I said to my customer I will do a fantastic job for you ut I can't guarantee it what would they say
Original style say that there are some glazed edge tiles in each box but not guaranteed how ridiculous
The look is supposed to be victorian which means glazed edges
I opened 8 boxes of tiles and found 4
They say that if we order more tiles they will have some tiles with glazed edges but no guarantee
Do not buy from this company
And there tiles are extortionate and different sizes😡

we did ask for a sample. The tiles we received are not at all similar to that sample. Yes it was our mistake that the tiles put these down before he showed them to us (unfortuntely we cannot be at a constructed site 24/7) but in the end, it just shows that you don't really care whether your customers have a positive experience- you just care whether you 'closed off' your avenues for explaning why this is our problem rather than yours. And that is what constitutes poor customer service.

Totally awful experience. We ordered tiles we had before and we are fully aware that natural products change over time but these tiles were very different even from the catalogue photos. Supposed to have a black part which is pale grey at best. We reached out to them only to be told they don’t deal with customers directly and this must be raised via the shop we ordered them- which then we did- only for the company to get back to them hiding behind the fact that we should expect they are different and we had installed the tiles so too bad for us. Well that might have been our mistake which we do regret and was beyond our control but whats overlooked here is that we paid a significant amount for a product that was NOT as advertised- we have proof of it- and this company is hiding behind technicalities to get away with it. So disappointing- would really not recommend and will definitely never order anything from them again- they really don’t care about their customers.

Wouldn't go anywhere else for tiles

Purchased over 500 Sqm of tiles from Original Style for our barn conversion. Great service , great prices and excellent support, particularly from Patrick. Will definitely use them again - easily the best tile supplier in Exeter and probably the South West!
