Excellent Writing Tool with Outstanding Customer Support
I’ve had a very positive experience using Paperpal for my academic work. As a nursing student, it has really helped refine my writing and elevate it to a more polished academic tone.
It does not replace your own work but helps fine tune grammar, clarity, and overall presentation. With its support, I have been able to improve my assignments to an A plus standard.
I also appreciate their customer support. I had an issue with an automatic renewal, and their team handled it with understanding and professionalism.

The customer service is very bad
The customer service is very bad; this is the second incident that I have been left in the lurch with without any assistance or reply to my complaints. Paperpal debited my credit card with an incorrect amount and thereafter said my subscription had lapsed. I then paid again to renew it, only to find that they had already debited my credit card. When I finally requested a refund for the initial incorrect debit, they then decided to cancel my subscription without my consent or instructions. They pretended to not understand what I was complaining about. They are very unprofessional and bad at attending to clients' complaints, yet very good at debiting incorrect amounts. Even today they have not resolved my problem or called me even though I explained that they should not have cancelled my fully paid subscription but refunded me for the incorrectly debited amount.

Cannot delete file or close account
I used Paperpal to check an academic manuscript. many of the suggestions were either unhelpful or incorrect, and overall it did not significantly improve the text.
More concerning is the lack of control over uploaded documents. After uploading my manuscript, I discovered there is no clear way to delete the file from the system. I also could not find a way to properly close or delete my account.
For researchers working with unpublished academic work, this is a serious issue.

Paperpal promised me 1 month free for an interview, then sent an invalid code and stopped replying
I’m honestly really disappointed with how Paperpal handled this.
I was contacted by Paperpal to do a 30-minute interview, and I was told that in return I would receive one month free. I attended the interview as agreed and expected them to follow through.
After I didn’t receive anything, I sent a reminder. Eventually, I was sent a code, but the code was invalid and did not work.
Since then, I have sent several requests to fix the issue, but I have received no response. At this point, it feels very unprofessional. If a company promises compensation for someone’s time, the bare minimum is to honor it or at least respond properly when there is a problem.
I kept my side of the agreement. Paperpal did not.
