Awful Customer Service Experience

Parcel was lost almost immediately after being collected. It took a while for the company to register it as lost while the company did investigations with FedEx. That's fine.

When it was registered as lost, I was asked to provide invoices for gifts sent to a friend.
When I asked for some guidance as to how to prepare these, as I did not have sales invoices, the ticket was closed due to "lack of supporting documents"!

Atrocious customer service.

I set up a parcel to be collected but…

I set up a parcel to be collected but when I finalised the booking the Labels did not arrive. I contacted them but no response. It was impossible to speak to any one as it is an automated service. The parcel was supposed to be picked up the next day but after spending the next morning trying to contact them I eventually cancelled the order and sent it with another courier. They did not contact me for more than 24 hours and then they made me wait 7 working days to receive my refund. I wrote and complained but they gave no explanation as to why the labels had not been issued . I will not use them again.

Do not use

Do not use. Paid twice for a parcel to be collected. No information on any attempted pickup that's if they even sent anyone. Total waste of money and time trying to contact them.

Parcel lost and company reneges on liability to compensate

I paid to have a parcel delivered through Parcel Compare, insuring the contents to the value of £150. However, my parcel was lost and never delivered, and now Parcel Compare are rejecting the legitimate invoices I supplied as evidence and refusing to pay compensation. I am very diappointed by my experience and will avoid both Parcel Compare and their carrier FedEx in the future. Their systems are insecure (hence my parcel was lost) and then they do not admit liability and pay up on claims for lost parcels.

I am still corresponding with customer services but this is very frustrating; they ask for evidence, I send them exactly what they ask for, they reply by asking for more and different evidence. Again I comply. I have spent hours on this issue since my parcel was lost, yet feel no closer to resolution.
Also, as soon as a parcel is declared lost, Parcel Compare should refund the postage paid for it, since it has not been delivered. But I have not received a refund of my postage costs after weeks of correspondence, and my questions about this are simply ignored. Postage refund is entirely independent to the compensation claim and should be automatically refunded to the customer once a parcel has been declared lost.

Buyer beware, just use Royal Mail!

On the 6/3/26 I sent an amplifier for repair to a company called Jarvis Service. I boxed it thoroughly even adding tape marked 'fragile'. I used an online company called ParcelCompare to generate a postage label; I posted it from a local Post Office. Barcode number: YA735410274GB.
On the 9/3/26 Jarvis informed me it had arrived damaged and provided photos. I originally made a claim to Royal Mail and after a month, on enquiry, it appears I should have complained to ParcelCompare – hence the delay. As I didn’t take out extra insurance, I cannot claim any more than £50, as was made clear by ParcelCompare when they generated the postage label.
I have filled in their questionnaire on the ParcelCompare site providing all evidence required. Today I received a message telling me that they cannot process my claim as they require photos of the damage – which I have already provided; and photos showing the internal packaging?
The amplifier was packed in bubble wrap inside the original box which has now been discarded – though I did send ParcelCompare a photo of the original packaging as supplied by Jarvis Services. I fail to see how I could have taken a photo of the inside of the box to show how it was packaged? This would have only been the amp wrapped in bubble wrap, before I put it in the outer casing.
I have to conclude that ParcelCompare are being deliberately difficult. Buyer beware! Much better to use Royal Mail and pay a bit extra if you want peace of mind in covering your product. I fear they will make it impossible to make a claim however legitimate!

I would look elsewhere

The recipient (a buyer) contacted me and I raised with ParcelCompare. I completed their form. I got a reply which, although personal, seemed to ignore my comments and gave generic instructions about not moving the item, taking pics, references etc etc. all difficult since I wasn’t the recipient and I didn’t want further contact as they were not pleasant. Just too difficult to claim.. I decided it was not worth the effort, which is probably what they wanted.

No transparency and honesty

Booked a parcel to be collected from South Africa. Have had to rebook twice now as they have missed the collection of this both times. Customer support is non existent. DHL tracking number given, however when i contact DHL they require a booking number. Parcel compare refuse to give me a booking number and say my tracking number is what i need to use. The service is appalling.

Lost package

They have lost my parcel and the ups delivery gave me a cardboard box all broken and damage. I have tried to call someone but there is no phone number. I need my package now and the only way to contact them is through a ticket on their website. I need to talk to a real human.

Awful

Awful. Don't use this site. Took my payment then did not collect the parcel. Customer service is a chat bot that does nothing and a ticket system which no one replies to.

I have now had a reply asking me to reschedule my delivery at my own cost which I refuse to do. No one is working with me to resolve the issue as stated sadly, just copy and pasting a reply.

No customer service available apart rom a bot

I had to cancel my arranged collection because I was sent, via email , labels with the wrong details. The labels with the bar code were wrong but the customs invoice was correct so I do not understand what went wrong. I tried hard to speak to someone but apparently there is no option to speak to a human being. which is infuriating. I had to cancel and pay again. I apparently now have to wait 7 days for a refund from which they will deduct a cancellation fee, regardless of the fact that the error was their fault not mine. I have since received an email saying that they will not charge me a cancellation fee as a good will gesture!
Can’t believe that the same as above has now happened again, and now paid twice.

I made a parcel collection today…

I made a parcel collection today 13/04/26 with Parcelcompare.
Although the order showed it had gone through and there was a tracking number. Then an hour later Every time I logged the tracking number in the Parcelcompare site it stated that there was no such booking with that tracking number. All afternoon I tried putting in the tracking number.. all afternoon the Parcelcompare site said no such tracking number. After continually telling them this situation and not getting a reply I lost trust in the site. I lost trust in the site and cancelled my order. Then I find out they have charged me for cancelling my order!!
Their site is hard to contact any customer support, and yet a Rip Off !!

First & last time I will use this…

First & last time I will use this terrible company!!
I am sending a parcel to my friend in New Zealand, all information entered correctly. But the labels they sent me have the wrong delivery address on them.
There is no way to contact anyone for immediate help, just a Ai useless chatbot! It tells you to cancel & rebook, but that costs you £5 for the privilege!!
You submit a ticket to get help, but there isn't anyone there either!!
I have a collection booked for Monday afternoon, which I will have to cancel now because I cannot send the item!!
I can see I'm going to loose money on this one!! Avoid all costs!!

Applauding AI driven Site

What an applauding AI driven in all the wrong ways!! Delivery comparison site.

Impossible to get any sense out of this AI chatbot driven site, that just replies with inane over polite nonsensical sentences, even when you get really wound up and type things you wouldn’t normally type.

Booked and paid for delivery the company never turned up to pick up item and claimed that attempted to do so and failed (the pickup was from a hotel reception manned 24-7 so that’s BS)

Total cost for “service” £9.89, for me to cancel this pick-up and delivery will cost me £6 amin charge! what amin I suspect no one is working here apart from the person that set it up!

I even went down the talk human route via link on site, but this is clearly not a manned chat just another autoreply.

Apart from the low price Initially offered but they can’t actually deliver on (pardon the pun).

I don’t see any advantage using this site because if there are any problems they direct you back the service provider they do and add Nothing at all!!!

This looks and smells like a scam site. Promise lower prices than anywhere else on the net, do nothing and wait for people to cancel and then WAM! Hit then with a sweet fine to cancel, fantastic albeit short lived business model, that being said they got my money!

So, hats off to them!!!!

I forgot the GOLDEN RULE in life, if something seems too good to be true that’s because it IS!!

Avoid due to incompetence

Lost my parcel and refused to compensate for item which cost £59.45. I did not have the invoice but provided them with emails from the company and bank statement evidencing items and cost. Still refusing to pay. I only received cost of postage. I will never use again and advise all to avoid

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking. This was the first time I'd used the company. My package got lost and when I raised a concern, I was told that as the case took so long for the delivery agent to confirm it was lost, that I'm not able to claim compensation. A total shambles - won't be using again and will be complaining to the credit card company I paid for this 'service' with.

Awful service from start to finish

Awful service from start to finish. Will be filing a complaint with small claims court. I provided all necessary information and listed my parcel as a non commercial shipment, a gift below $100. Parcelcompare however booked it as a Commercial shipment with FedEx and then said it was my responsibility to complete a prior notice form with the FDA. Trying to fill it out I did not have the required information, such as the air way bill master and they could not provide it. I spent hours back and forth with FedEx, the FDA and parcelcompare trying to resolve this, now my parcel has been returned and they expect me to pay the charges for their mistake. Terrible incompetent company. Avoid at all costs they are the worst of the worst.

An absolute scam!

An absolute scam! I used this service to return an order and the entire experience was a nightmare.
The tracking they provided was extremely confusing. They gave multiple reference numbers, and the links didn’t work. It’s a miracle I managed to track the parcel at all.
When I noticed the parcel hadn’t moved for some time, I contacted both the courier and Parcel Compare. Both assured me this was normal for overseas shipments. A week later, the parcel still hadn’t moved, so I reached out again only to be told I was now outside the claims window! This makes no sense, considering they had only just told me everything was fine a week earlier. I disputed this, but they denied my claim anyway.
When I asked to escalate the issue to their complaints department, they refused. When I asked for an email address to submit a formal complaint, they refused that as well.
As a result, I am now out of pocket twice. I couldn’t claim back the value of my returned order from the retailer, and Parcel Compare refused to honour the insurance I paid for.
DO NOT USE! They make it as difficult as possible to claim for missing parcels and will do everything they can to avoid paying out. SCAM!
