I think pataks curry sauces are quite…
I think pataks curry sauces are quite horrible
I use sharwoods normally & couldn't get that brand so opted for pataks .
Never again! It ruined our meal the Taste of the sauce was so horrible.it all went in the bin!
I cook a lot of curry and Indian food
I cook a lot of curry and Indian food. Against my better judgement, I was persuaded to cook with a pataks sauce. I followed the instructions tone letter.mit was, truly, the most disgusting filth I have ever had to eat. We had no option but to flush the entire batch down the toilet and cook egg and chips.
It was sharp, salty, and had no proper depth of flavour.
please, NEVER use this filth to make a “curry”
No after sales help.
I have no problem with the use of Pataks sauces but DO have a problem with a food company that offers very little help on how best to use the stuff!
Such as,will the product be impaired by long cooking in a slow cooker to ensure tender beef and to offer a recommended cheap cut of beef that will give an authentic taste and tenderness.
BLOWN AWAY.
I'm not one for curries and balti dishes but I've just been blown away.
Cooked the chicken , added the sauce , in the oven .
What can I say , both me and the wife absolutely loved it.
We will definitely be buying this again and trying more of the range.
Well done and keep up the good work.
Missing poppadom!
I have just opened a pack of Patak’s ‘cook at home’ poppadoms and there are only 9 poppadoms when there’s supposed to be 10. Is this a case of ‘shrinkflation’?
I brought pataks korma sauce as a one…
I brought pataks korma sauce as a one off and it's absolutely awful hardly any curry smell to it when I opened and cooked it then I tasted it and there was no flavour to it atall absolute joke of a curry and price I will be going back to Aldis own curry sauces they are so full of flavour and have the sauce and a small tub of spices that u cook before putting in the meat or veg.
Also another company I've used which I found on a food market is called MIGHT SPICE amazing company all fresh spices sealed in a pack and u just had yogurt and butter spend your money here best ever never regretted them slightly pricey but u get what u pay for
Madras paste pot, a rancid nightmare
I have already sent this company an email to advise them of my disappointment with one of their Madras Curry Pots.
It was bitter and vinergary and unlike any madras I have ever tasted. If you enjoy a madras, please do not buy one of these.
You get two pots in a pack and I threw the other one in the bin.
Pack of poppadums bought today
Pack of poppadums bought today, unbelievably poor quality. I tried to eat one of them, but threw the rest in the bin. £3 down the Swannie.
Pataks jalfrezi/curry paste now rubbish
Pataks jalfrezi/curry paste used to be fantastic, rich and spicy. Recently bought one and it is now flavourless, no spices at all. Before 2 tablespoons were plenty, now it says use half a jar, but it still doesn’t become spicy, the spices are just not released when fried. I think it was bought up by a company specialising in ultra processed food with cheap ingredients. Now I’ll have to make one from scratch. Someone made a lot of money
Undercooked pappadums
I bought a packet of pataks pappadums today, unfortunately they were undercooked and had a floury taste. At more than £3 I would have expected better! From now on I will be purchasing Sharwoods pappadums every time!
Tikka Masala Paste
Pataks Tikka Masala Paste
Not only has there been a considerable price increase but the paste is now very thin & not like the thick paste we had before.
It's as if the cook in sauce has been put in the jar instead off paste.
Very disappointing & won't be buying again.
All these pastes were fantastic when Patek's were privately owned, gone to pot since Associated British Foods bought them up.
Total rubbish
Total rubbish. I purchased this, and thier products. One a Mango Pickle. there was no Mango Pickle. I thought this may be a one off however it was not a second bottle was no Mangos. I bought several proucts and all were poor! Do not buy from this company!
Pataks foods not great aks food products are not great they…
Pataks food products are not great they haven't updated there curry sauces for many years there nan bread is disgusting. People in the uk know what is good at an affordable price. Yours isn't great at all horrible comes to mind. Isn't it about time pataks sorted out your curry and breads. Get better from meahs.
Mango chutney? More like mango baby food
Mango chutney.
The good, but not great= the taste
The bad, = Definitely not a chutney. More like baby food, but not as thick! Thin, runny, so few chunks I could count on one hand.
Sorry Patak's but you got this very wrong.
If I could give more than 5 stars,I…
If I could give more than 5 stars,I would.
The Best lamb madras I've ever had but prime cuts of lamb.
Screwed!!!
I bought a Balti Spice Paste and followed the instructions on the back of the jar. I was adding my diced chicken to the sauce when I saw something silvery in the sauce. It turned out to be a very small screw. I have photos of the screw if you need to see it and luckily did not go so far as to eat it and break any teeth. I think you need to seriously to reconsider your quality control.
Poor
I really think it's about time Pataks had a good look at their products as there are far superior sauces/ naanbreads out there. Had the misfortune today of having to buy your naan breads which quite frankly was like eating a flip flop, suggest you look at the Clay Oven company as to how to do a decent 'at home' naan
I bought some products from pataks and…
I bought some products from pataks and wasn’t very pleased with them. The tikka masala sauce just didn’t taste right. The coriander and garlic naan bread was sweet and had the texture of a shoe sole and wasn’t very nice to eat.
The popadums I bought of them were ok’ish but did got ruined by the sweet mango chutney that was tasting rather salty and left me thirsty till the next morning. Did not enjoyed it at all and was very dissatisfied.
The naan breads are too sweet
The naan breads are too sweet. Why add sugar to bread? It's totally unnecessary. Won't be purchasing again.
Horrible flavour
Hi, Purchased the 2 Korma Paste Pots and the Tikka Masala Kit . Korma has so much vinegar in the sauce its quite distasteful I threw it away. Complained to them and they were very apologetic and promised to send me fivers worth of coupons (hope there for another company). I am now cooking there Tikka Masala and the same thing , so much acid/vinegar and I have wasted 2 chicken fillets. Avoid and please Pataks employ a chef who know's what there doing . Joke never again.
