Its DDoS protection is adequate for basic needs, though some security filters are outdated and vulnerable to bypass (e.g., custom Python scripts in FiveM environments). Network policies relying on application-level traffic whitelisting ("port hole punching") feel archaic compared to something like OVH. Although its not bad protection your application may not be supported and could result in legitimate applications being blocked if you apply the TCP Symmetric/Service filter.

Path is a great ddos protection company and has stopped many attacks against my site. Whilst using tempest, protected by path, it has tremendously increased my uptime on my server from preventing attacks. Support & Staff have been nothing but helpful, with ticket replies being less than 10 minutes pretty much everytime.

Path.net is a very efficient ddos migration service, seeing attacks blocked in 2+ tbps, as well as over a billion pps.

Their customer service is good as well as their staff being friendly and easy to work with, their XDP filters for game services are also top notch seeing very popular rust game servers popping on average 760+ players in multiple regions.

They have excellent performance for routing as well as a vast peer network including popular upstreams. Allowing insanely low ping including being a anycast network.

Horrible service… I’ve waited a month for a Arizona server to come up from being down and they have not done anything. I’ve asked for updates and was always told this week and that week and nothing. Although their protection is good… the service is shit. That shows us what their priorities are.

Path.net maintains a monopoly over the DDOS protection market centered towards server hosting. They have constant outages they fail to explain or make a statement on to their downstream customers. This has continued for the past few months and has been quite a thorn in the side of network hosters using their service. Sadly, they are very unresponsive to help tickets from most network providers using their service.

EDIT: Path.net is now removing people on Twitter (X) that explain their bad experiences with the network backend. I hope you all read these reviews.

**Disappointing Experience with Path.net (January 2023)**

My experience with Path.net earlier this year was far from ideal. Despite terminating my contract, they kept sending invoices, which was frustrating and unprofessional. Their support was slow and unhelpful, making issue resolution a headache. Additionally, their service lacked flexibility—running multiple applications on the same ports wasn’t possible. Lastly, their Anti-DDoS feature felt like a gimmick; without their extra filters, it simply didn’t work. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Path.net based on my experience.

Great anti DDoS protection with good firewall and filters except for gaming it's very good.

We had been searching for an effective Anti-DDoS solution for our hosting services for some time. After reading various reviews about Path, we decided to reach out to them. We were assisted by Kyan, who was very friendly and helped establish smooth communication right from the start. They offered us a trial period which, due to some issues on our end, needed to be extended, and they had no issues accommodating this. The support provided was exceptionally cordial and human, with clear explanations and assistance that helped us understand aspects we were previously unsure about, making the configuration process easy and seamless. By the end of our trial period, we had no hesitation in becoming a customer.

The Anti-DDoS protection they offer is comprehensive. They provide filters for most applications, which, based on our tests, work flawlessly. Integrating their API into our customer panel was straightforward and took very little time, thanks to the effective documentation and Kyan's assistance. Although we haven’t yet experienced large-scale DDoS attacks, the few minor incidents we encountered were mitigated without any noticeable packet loss.

Overall, we are extremely satisfied with Path’s service and support and highly recommend them.

After looking for a suitable DDoS protection for our mainly FiveM server we have found Path. After that with more than 2 year experience, we have received many DDoS attacks, but none of them has affected any of our players.
As always, there is a space for improvement, sometimes because of Path, there is 'a drop' that kicks out all the players of server -> but that happens hardly every and I hope it will get solved one day. Also they could improve the status page, as it really does not show the drops there.

At all we are very happy with them.
Honestly if I could, I would give 4,5/5 stars.

Great DDoS protection!

Path provide great DDoS protection, ive been using path for the past two years and have never had a DDoS leak through when the attack was directed at my IP's.

Their staff team normally responds to tickets fairly quickly and the network has been stable for the most part. There is for sure room for improvement when it comes to stability but they have been actively working on improving this.

Path has been hands down one of the best companies I have worked with in the decade excellent service really felt like true white-glove experience. Marshall and his team we're very professional, friendly and knowledgeable whenever it came to any issues, they were very prompt on sorting it out. I will say even when we came across a random power outage his team were prompt on over international waters to get personnel to diagnose the issue and get us back on track and running for our company. Thank you, Marshall and Co!

Path's distributed network provides some of the best DDOS protection I've ever worked with in the past few years. As the infrastructure and "IT guy" for our gaming server, their support is always quick to respond (even if it's 3am). Their child company Tempest Hosting provides one of the easiest management options out of other similar hosting providers. We used to have quite a few issues with our server being taken down by DDOS attacks, but ever since we switched to Path we have not had a single successful attempt.

I have been using Path for a good 2 years for selling hosting and hosting my own services. It has stood up against large volumetric floods and even small l7 floods targeting game servers that would down the service on other providers without the l7 filtering.

The API is also great for exposing control to my customers, so they get to use these awesome filters.

Recently returned to Path Network after trying another mitigation provider for ~2 years.
Product is flawless as always, a large variety of high quality L7 filtering options and a robust API that allows us to pass these features onto our clients.

Service stability has been okay overall (a few timeouts here and there under extenuating circumstances) better than we have had with other providers at the same price point, still some room for improvement going forward as the team over at Path work on upgrading their sites with additional carriers and more capacity.
