Tables not cleared, floor strewn with napkins and overfilled bins, makes Paul in 40 Lower Thames Street an unpleasant stay. I asked for a damp cloth to wipe the tables we wanted to sit at and a staff... Mehr ansehen

Cake was good quality, but expensive. One staff member was rude for no reason. Basic manners cost nothing, rudeness costs future sales.
Bonjour.this is purely a personal viewpoint based on my own experience.i did not buy or eat the 2 new Raymond blanc special baguettes but I saw one of each under the glass.i think they were about 8.50... Mehr ansehen
My husband and I purchased the worst coffee ever - it was basically just coffee coloured scalding hot water and cost us almost €10. I wrote a letter to Paul’s customer service as constructive feedback... Mehr ansehen

I used to work at Paul and the quality was much better. I ordered 8 portion birthday cake and its very small now exactly the same like 6 portion back then £ 40 far too expensive!

The products from London are not the same quality like one from France and they don't take cash, only card's. What is this???
Very odd shop-great bread-but getting it!
Ive been in quite a few times mid morning to this Bakers and each time they had they told me no bread
as in baguettes or much else.
No explanation offered.Advice?Come back some other time.
Not sold out just not made.
Finally I did suceed in scoring a loaf.
Next problem. No change or money in their till.
They dont seem to 'do'till floats.
Once I was paid out customers tip basket.
Quite a few nationalities on the staff here by looks of it even Indians Italians and unknown but BIG language problems.V embarrasing
Everything I said seemed 'wrong'quizzical frowns,no replies, dont open that bag by blowing!
Please dont stick your hand in and grope around inside to open it!
Can I have the one in the middle?
You cant bend it in half it has to be sawn?
Phew.
Great Bread but you have to jumpo all these hoops to score.
I put it down to cuisine temperament after all as Raymond Le Blanc says in his book a proper steam heated bread oven and the expertise to use it doesnt come cheap.
In fact its probably the only one in our County.
Finally we got there I got home and enjoyed a lovely soft
crusty baguette buttered with melted salted guerend French butter
Bliss!
FOOD POISONING
FOOD POISONING
We got a lemon tart from Paul Patesserie, Oxford Circus yesterday. It was discoloured, smelt weird and just because it was from a trusted brand - Paul's Patesserie, we ate it and got food poisoning. Disgusting food provided by this bakery- a complete ruin of a once popular and respected brand in London. Avoid like a plague!!!
AVERAGE AND OVERPRICED
Really dissappinted that Patisserie Paul have stopped accepting cash which is legal tender. They have lost my business as there are plenty of good patisseries in London that welcome my custom, no matter how I pay!

Sitting outside a Paul’s on a high street with noisy cars passing by and a view of a newsagent, having paid an extortionate £8 for a coffee and pastry. I miss living in Italy, £3 for a better coffee and pastry, at an independent coffee shop on an ancient square surrounded by historical monuments. How did England get this so wrong? 😂
The worst coffee ever
The worst coffee ever! I've had two occasions trying to drink your coffee which is just hot brown water. Once near Piccadilly in London and once in in Marlebone London Absolutely awful! Never again !

Moldy Strawberries
Ordered £120 of cakes for Christmas..collected on Christmas Eve and put straight in the fridge. Opened on Boxing Day and one had moldy strawberries. Disgusting
I ordered mushroom risotto
I ordered mushroom risotto. It was extremely salty. It seemed like they’ve poured the entire salt bottle by mistake. There was no replacement nor refund. Very disappointing
Franchisees not honouring lunchtime voucher app claiming they are not part of Paul UK???
I was in Oxford on Saturday 10 September and was trying to use the lunchtime deal £1 off voucher. I read the T&Cs carefully which said all day, 7 days a week and amongst the "available at selected stores" were both Paul Oxford and Paul Oxford Westgate. Unfortunately, at both places, the girls at the till told me that they could not honour the voucher as they were not part of Paul UK. Apparently they were franchisees that had split off from Paul UK. I did not understand the sense of this explanation but I knew better than to embarass myself arguing with them. Needless to say I walked away and did not purchase anything but it was a waste of my time that Paul UK sent me these vouchers into my app, encouraging me to visit a Paul UK store to use them but to then find out they are not intent on honouring it. They have now lost me as a customer. Paul UK is not exactly cheap but to have that kind of treatment on the few customers that can afford to visit their shop does not make business sense at all.
Not fresh Fraisier cake
I bought a Fraisier cake last week from Upper street branch. We loves this cake and buy regularly. Unfortunately it taste did not tasty last 3 times. It falls apart as soon as you start cutting the cake with a knife. You can't take the cake, strawberry and cream together and put it in your mouth and enjoy it. Because they are separated from each other immediately. The cream inside is very hard and of extremely poor quality. Because it`s not FRESH!!! Congratulations! for spoiling the quality and taste of a cake so well..
Couldn't order cakes on line
Couldn't order cakes on line! Very poor website order on line and customer help center inexistent !! No more!
Dirt in baguettes
Dirt in baguettes, in-store orders handed over in a bag that do not include a receipt and a part of the order, and today a birthday cake that was not prepared! This is not just a one off incident, these are systematic failures of this brand.
Today was my last visit to Paul. Screw you guys and hopefully your business will get where you lead it to - eventual closure! Well done!
Paul in bagatelle mauritius
Paul in bagatelle mauritius : The food is excellent. Hors pair. But the some of staff are rude. They don't have the client based approach. You ask them for the menu or advice, it's like you are disturbing them. Not all of the staff but some of them. I was really very disappointed😞 and lost my appetite. Sadly, even if the food is A-mazing, i guess won't be going back there 😢
Best almond croissant I can find
Best almond croissant I can find. Service is variable, but in the current labour market...
Canary Wharf
Canary Wharf; french female under manager, who not surprisingly refused to give her name. Your manners are appalling. Your role is face to face customer care the lack of which has lost your company business. Your attitude in which you clearly revel is ugly.
Great experience
Great experience, always. There is a likelihood of customer service quality differences from one outlet to another however overall the primary business works well.
Paul Pâtisserie in South Kensington …
Paul Pâtisserie in South Kensington -London.
I have rarely witnessed such abysmal attitude and lack of customer service. The shop is situated in the French trendy, affluent, elegant neighbourhood of London. However, there is nothing trendy nor elegant about the staff there ! They are curt, rude, just disrespectful !
Today was the 2nd instance I witnessed such behaviour and decided I would rather give my hard earned cash to a more deserving shop ! I would not be surprised if the employees were to spit in your sandwiches or cakes ! That is the sort of manners I witnessed ! A huge pass for me !
Absolutely terrible service!!
Absolutely terrible service. I visited one of their bakeries along Rue Luxembourg in Brussels and placed an order for an event. On the day of collection, I arrived and nothing had been prepared plus, they told me half of my order was not available. They could have called me the day before as they had my phone number but chose to wait till the very last minute. I ended up running around looking for other bakeries to get the pastries. Very disappointed in their lack of respect for customers and incompetence and they certainly will NOT be seeing me again.

The epitome of the disgrace and the shame; Edgware Road Marble Arch - Paul
Duty Manager: Marcia
Date: 17/09/2021
Time: 16:45 pm
The chocking attitude from a so-called manager, his inability to communicate efficiently, his lack of work ethics, rude, misogynistic and to add insult to injury his inability to handle a request to a regular customer ( or even to anyone) is utterly unacceptable and despicable.
The first question will be how could PAUL provide this low standard and the ground of giving him the position of manager?
It seems that the company hasn't got a great deal of regard toward its customers: SHAME ON YOU
" La Honte de la France"
There's plenty of competition up there why should we bother!
