Jasper ' Puppy dog'
Our 13.5 year old working cocker spaniel Jasper hadn't been well for a while with dementia and then he was diagnosed with potentially a kidney disease just after Xmas 2025. His blood count was way over what it should have been. We contacted Paws at Peace via telephone and arranged to have Jasper laid to rest in the comfort of his home and with dignity. The booking process was very simple with a great explanation of what to complete and what would happen.
Paws at Peace liaised with our chosen Pet crematorium to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day.
Kim came to the house, at the alotted time (we received a text 30 mins before to say there would be no delays). Kim explained the whole process in great detail and what to expect from Jasper. We were given time alone with Jasper throughout the process to pour our hearts out and give him cuddles. Kim was fantastic throughout and we can't thank her enough for her professionalism and compassion.
Hardest Fairwell
It was with the greatest of sadness today that we said a tearful farewell to our beautiful boy Jet. He had 12 amazing years with us. One of our easiest hellos but one of our hardest goodbyes too.
Jet hated being in the car, he panicked, shaked and was terrified so the thought of taking him to the vets when he was so poorly felt so cruel and undignified.
Thankfully we found #pawsatpeace an at home pet euthanasia service. Kim and the team were so supportive, friendly and warm. They came to our home and helped Jet to have a peaceful end. I can't begin to tell you how much this has meant to us that he didn't have to suffer a trip in the car to be put to sleep in an unfamiliar space on a vets table. But because of Paws At Peace he was able to go laid in his favourite spot by the fire with all of us around him.
Please, if you have a pet take a minute to look at the service they provide.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We will miss you loads Jetty Boy 🐾
Saying goodbye with peace and dignity
When there was no hope left for our gorgeous girl Zara we wanted her final moments to be at home with her family and our other dog, Prince. Paws at peace offer this service, initially when Kim entered the family home Zara was quite unsettled, Kim waited for Zara to calm before coming over she spoke with such empathy and offered Zara gentle touch and this put us all at ease, including Zara. At such a distressing time Kim brought peace and dignity, Zara went to sleep with her family and Prince beside her. We would recommend Paws at peace to anyone facing the heartbreaking decision of saying goodbye to a beloved pet with thanks from Andrea, Simon, Prince and Zara
Service second to none
I just wanted to pass on a huge thank you on behalf of my family, to Kim and Paws at Peace.
On 4th February 2025, we said a peaceful and love filled goodbye to our precious girl, Poppy.
Although this was one of the hardest and heart wrenching moments of our lives, being at home all together was such a privilege. Kim’s support ensured that Poppy’s last moments were comfortable, calm and our wishes of Poppy being surrounded by the ones who loved her most, were respected.
Whilst the pain of losing Poppy remains, being able to say goodbye without the added stress of visiting our vet’s practice was the best way, which we know Poppy was thankful for.
From the first phone call to ease of booking, Kim’s approach is one of professionalism, compassion and honesty, which we will forever be grateful for.
Thank you Kim and to the team at Paws at Peace. Your service is second to none.
Cannot recommend enough
Cannot recommend enough. Paws at Peace (Teesside) made an incredibly challenging time as simple and straightforward as possible. Supportive, informative, and caring. Much nicer that at the vets to say goodbye to our loved one.
A peaceful goodbye to our boy Jeffrey
From the moment Kim picked up the phone to the moment she left after our appointment, I felt at ease.
My greyhound Jeffrey had been diagnosed with bone cancer and we had made the heart breaking decision that it was time to let him go.
When Kim arrived at our home she immediately made us all feel at ease with the process. She introduced herself to Jeff who even came for more cuddles while she was sitting with us having a chat. This told me everything I needed to know. Jeff was happy with her and could sense she was there to only show him kindness.
Kim explained the process and gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes. Although she was there to facilitate the process, we had such a loving and private farewell with our beloved Jeff.
Kim turned something so sad into a positive experience. She made sure our Jeffrey passed, peacefully and pain free, surrounded by those who loved him most.
We cannot thank you enough
Alexis, Glen, Lynda and most importantly Jeff.
Saying goodbye
I had to say goodbye to my oldest cat on Monday 13 January which was a heart wrenching decision. I had originally booked him for the week before but he rallied slightly so I postponed - the team were extremely understanding of this and then again, very accommodating when he deteriorated on Saturday night. I booked Kim again from Monday which was short notice and she was able to give me an appointment the same day. I was able to say goodbye without the stress of getting him to a vets in his own territory, where he felt safest. Kim thoroughly explained the procedure and was calm throughout. Saying goodbye is always going to be difficult even when you know it is the kindest option, Paws at Peace made the process so much easier, I cannot recommend highly enough
Our best mate Benny.
On the 23/12/24 we lost our best mate benny. We had already contacted Paws at peace.Kim came to our home explained everything step by step and made the situation easier to bare with her kindness and patience. We would like to thank Kim for her understanding at our sad time. Thanks Paul, Patricia Lyon.
Our gorgeous 15yr old staffy’s health…
Our gorgeous 15yr old staffy’s health had been deteriorating and we knew we would have to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye and had booked for another vet to come the following Monday, hoping our family would get to have a final weekend with her. Sadly, the world had other plans and suddenly on Wednesday evening she took a turn for the worse. Desperate to be able to say goodbye to her at home, I searched the internet and found paws at peace. I was shaking when I rang and from the moment the wonderful Sam answered the phone, I knew that these were kind and loving people who would take care of us all in Muggles final moments. Sam was so reassuring, understanding kind and patient- giving me all the details and then letting me have time to think things through with my family. Once I called him back, he let me know a time to expect Kim (which was only an hour later), and she text us when she was 15 minutes away. Kim was just as lovely as Sam, so kind to us, so understanding of my 11yr old daughter who wanted to stay with her beloved furry best friend throughout- explaining everything to her and giving her all the time she (and we) needed, and so respectful of Muggle. It was never rushed and Kim was just so lovely to us all. Muggle passed away peacefully at home, she was never worried or stressed and she was surrounded by her family, who cuddled her as she went. Sam had also arranged for Charlotte from craven pet crematorium to come for us, who again, I cannot recommend highly enough. I cannot thank Sam and Kim enough for the love and compassion they showed us all that night- I couldn’t believe how lucky we were to find someone who could help us last minute and out of hours, let alone such wonderful and caring people. Kim even checked in the next day to see how we all were, and give my daughter some lovely words which honestly helped her so much. I would absolutely recommend them in a heartbeat.

After making the worst decision of our lives , we called paws at peace and were received with so much compassion about Millie our 16 year old fur baby , the date and time was arranged . Kim arrived and made the painful evening as nice as possible , fully explaining what will happen , Millie crossed the rainbow at 645pm surrounded by talking and cuddling , even at times some laughter as we remembered her 16 years of a wonderful life . Thank you Kim and family for being so kind and caring to us all , on a day we will never forget .

Brody was 14 and a half and he had been a faithful friend to us all, When he became too poorly we had to make the hardest decision, We used paws at peace after reading reviews and Kim was very understanding and compassionate and listened to our concerns and helped us through the most heartbreaking time. I would highly recommend this service, when needed.
A caring and compassionate service
Bella, 11, who had been my loving companion for a number of years, was suffering from severe arthritis. Despite doing everything possible to lessen her pain, including giving her numerous up-to-date medications, laser therapy and hydrotherapy, we finally had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go. I phoned Paws at Peace, and Kim came to my house the same day. She was so kind and compassionate, let us have as much time as we wanted to say goodbye, and made such a difficult time so much easier to bear. She even liaised with the crematorium on our behalf.
I would recommend Kim to anyone looking for a kind and loving way to say goodbye to their companion. She made such a difficult time bearable with her professional yet caring manner.
Kind, Compassionate and Caring
On the 19 November we made the heartbreaking decision to have our beautiful boy Lucky put to sleep. We were desperate to find a veterinary surgeon to come to our house so Lucky could pass in comfort surrounded by his loving family.
After contacting several vets across Tyne and Wear without any success we were recommended Paws at Peace.
Upon speaking with Sam at Paws for Peace we were immediately reassured that Lucky was in the best possible hands and Sam explained the full process and arranged for Kim to come to our house and attend to Lucky.
Kim was kind, caring, respectful and Compassionate to Lucky and my family.
We took great comfort that Lucky did not suffer and thanks to Paws at Peace he was able to pass peacefully at home.
We are forever grateful for the compassionate service Sam and Kim provided
My Heartfelt Thanks
From my first, tearful, request to my final farewell to my beloved cat, Colonel, Paws at Peace and vet, Kim, made the sad experience so peaceful and dignified I would give 100 stars.
Thank you Kim for your gentle, respectful care not only for my boy but for his broken hearted owner.

What amazing service with dignity
What amazing service with dignity. Our dog miley was unable to stand and very poorly we had make a decision on the weekend to end her suffering. They attended and provided her with dignity and compassionate service. Thankyou so much for giving her such a beautiful goodbye. No words can express how much it meant to us as a family.
Kind and dignified passing
Our 14 year old dog Paddy was unable to stand or eat so we decided to let him go. We called Paws at Peace as we wanted him to be at home with us where he was comfortable and settled. Kim, the vet came and was just fantastic. She was kind to Paddy and did not rush. He was not at all frightened and his passing was peaceful and dignified. Kim was very considerate of our feelings and she let us know that she understood how hard it is to say goodbye to a close family member.
Thank you Kim.
Dignified and sensitive experience
Our cat Jasper who was 13 fought for months after having a stroke but we had to make the difficult decision to let him go. Travelling to the vets was stressful for him in normal circumstances, so this wasn’t an option for us as we didn’t want the last moments of his life to be like this. This is where Paws at Peace came in - from the initial phonecall with Sam, to when Kim arrived, they handled it with sensitivity and understanding. Sam was very sympathetic on the phone and explained everything to me about what will happen. When Kim arrived, she did the same. She allowed us to choose where to have Jasper put to sleep, allowed us some time with him and explained exactly what would happen. Although the situation was awful for us, I know Jasper passed where he was comfortable and with the people he loved. This was thanks to Kim, and I would recommend their services to anyone finding themselves in the situation. Their aftercare is also something to be praised as they check in with you after it has happened. In the nicest way possible, I hope I don’t need to use this service for a long time, but I wouldn’t hesitate to go to them again.
Thank you Paws At Peace 🥰…
Thank you Paws At Peace for providing an outstanding service at a difficult and devastating time. My Mitzy was my life for nearly 2 years and making this decision to send her over the rainbow 🌈 bridge was heart breaking. Paws at Peace responded and acted in a sensitive and caring manner, explaining the process, Kim was patient and didn’t rush things. I have spoken with others about the excellent service I have received and would urge anyone in this sad position to consider their service when having to say goodbye to a beloved pet…at home where they lived and loved 🥰 xx
Beautiful end to a wonderful life
Unfortunately we needed to use this service for our gorgeous Millie. It was the most peaceful end to her wonderful life.
We were given all the time we needed to say our goodbyes and comfort her as she passed. Couldn’t have wished for anything better 💔

My Aunty & uncle and I needed an emergency appointment for the beautiful Daisey.
Kim was recommended by our local vets.
I gave her a call , she was with us within the hour.
She is so caring and patient, explained everything that would happen to Daisey Kim made a very stressful and emotional experience a little easier , still it's so heartbreaking losing Daisey who wasn't only a pet but a member of our family.
Would like to Thank Kim for all she did on the day.
Highly recommended her to anyone .
