I went to the Black Penny pub, Tamworth. I ordered three meals & asked three times if the fish & chips was cod. The Barmaid even went to ask the chef. He assured her it was cod. Lo & behold, when it arrived it was haddock & the chips & peas were cold. If they had been honest, I could have picked something else. As it was, I was told they could nothing about it, but I insisted they refund me. Why they tried to mislead me is a mystery. Their dishonesty resulted in a refund & a loss of a customer.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff who go the extra mile to make sure you get what you need. This applies to both the post office and the other counter. Thank you and I'll be back!

Penny Black offers a mixed experience. The staff is friendly, and they do a good job helping with selections and recommendations. However, each experience can vary. For instance, sometimes items might not be fully in stock, although they communicate issues swiftly and offer solutions, like upgraded postage. Their delivery service is prompt, and they have a nice collection of products. Overall, it's a decent shop to consider.

Thank you to the lovely Hanna who helped me choose balloons for my son's 18th birthday. Very patient when I was being indecisive and had some good suggestions. When I collected them today they were sitting in the window ready, Elaine did a beautiful job, exactly what I ordered. I will be using you from now on xx

I call in penny black quite regular, a fantastic pub. The staff are very welcoming and always willing to accommodate your needs. Food is fantastic the menu is very good. It's a great place to watch football especially sheffield united games. Well done to jock and his team a credit to greene king

Great quality calendar. Easy to use website to order. Only build would be that they don't come with envelopes. I bought one to send to a friend but have had to purchase an envelope to send it.
