There's some overly sensitive souls on here, all I can say is dont venture into the world of comedy beyond Peter Kay if you find him offensive and stick to bland, boring panto or Mrs Brown! Peter is l... Mehr ansehen

One of my favourite comedians after…
One of my favourite comedians after Billy Connolly, Peter is a nice person, I got my ticket nearly 3 years ago after his original tours was cancelled, Friday the 8th Belfast very disappointing, similar to some others it was like a pantomime the first part audience singing to Old adverts, his material after was very dated and the punchline predictable, I left early at the interlude
What a wonderful evening
What a wonderful evening. Peter can make you laugh at anything and it was wonderful to see him back xxx
I would go again tonight if I could
Disappointing
Saw Peter Kay at the SSE Arena in Belfast last night. I had never seen him live, but I’ve enjoyed most of what he’s done on TV. So with a massive sell-out audience, I was expecting a great evening.
Sadly, it wasn’t so. There was a lot of somewhat strange apparently ad-libbed audience interaction for the first half hour. This was based around signature tunes and advertising jingles from the 70s and 80s, and it descended into a holiday camp-like sing-a-long. Goodness knows what the younger members of the audience made of it. Even to this 60-something it felt very strange.
He then launched into his “act”, a series of loosely connected mildly amusing anecdotes. His vocabulary was a lot more blue than I remember from TV.
The second half began with (I think) a recording of Richard Burton narrating the opening lines of HG Wells “War of the Worlds”, and Peter then appeared, singing “Is this the way to Amarillo”. Weird.
There was then a somewhat cringe-worthy video tribute to his now deceased nan, and that was it. Except it wasn’t. We then had one rather boring encore based on his often repeated gag “misheard song lyrics”, which really should have been retired a long time ago.
And finally, there was a second encore. I won’t spoil it, suffice to say it gave new meaning to the word bizarre. It had me wondering what on Earth I was doing there, and immediately after that thought I began to plan an early exit to the car park.
Peter Kay does come across as a nice guy, but he desperately needs new material, and someone to give him some direction.
Disappointing
We went to see Peter Kay at the SSE Arena in Belfast. The experience was desperately disappointing and unfunny. He didn't seem to have prepared an act. It was full of old or boring material only suitable for Butlin's. And it relied on audience sing alongs as fillers. A shocking waste of time and money. Sell your ticket if you have one.
Peter Kay at the 02
Went to see Peter kay at the 02 last sat. We were so disappointed. The mouse je made eating the sweets that 'dropped' onto his stage was disgusting. He started singing old commercials then also at the end he descended over the audience singing songs like scoobybdoo etc. Focusing too much on audience participation....we went to hear your jokes not stupid childish songs! A total waste of time and money! We were such fans but so much old material too.
Peter Kay 2025 Tour
My husband and I went to see Peter Kay at the AO. We’d had the tickets for two years and we were so excited to see him as he was one of our favourite comedians. I did laugh, but his material was old, the encores were probably the most entertaining, I hate to say it as I love him but I think with the weight loss he has lost his funniest. After such a long break I would have thought he would have had new material but it consisted of panning in on the audience and tv ads from the 70/80s, very disappointing.
Poor quality
To add to my review. I must mention the sound . His voice was echoing the entire time. So you'd hear him say something then the back speaker would play the sound again. Totally not in sync. If you have tickets. Sell them on. Burn them . Gift them . Don't waste your time.
Negative reviews are baffling
Negative reviews are baffling. We were laughing the whole time as was everyone surrounding us. You could see and hear people having a great time. Everyone knows his brand of comedy, so don't go to see him and then complain that you get his brand of comedy. It was a much needed lift in a currently crappy world.
A really disappointing show
A really disappointing show. No new material. Not funny at all. A waste of money. Left after an hour. Sad to say as I normally like Peter Kay’s material. Not last night. Awful
Not worth the wait!
So sad to write this but his show last night in the 02 was awful. Not funny at all. No new material & all about signing old advert songs to fill time! Waited a long while to see him & hugely disappointed
What a disappointment
What a disappointment! We were so looking forward to seeing him and my god it was boring. Too much emphasis put on the crowd carrying the show which was basically a " sing a long"
We could see people leaving way before he finished, and I can only conclude that the positive reviews are from those who had been on the "pop"!
We Went to see Peter Kay last night at…
We Went to see Peter Kay last night at the O2. Extremely disappointed, old content, rambling, if I had been watching that performance on the TV the Chanel would have been changed quicker than it took him to come on stage.
Poor show. Sad to see someone who has been so entertaining and funny become, I am sorry to say, boring and unentertaining. Time for a change Peter.
Still aching from laughing!
Absolutely cannot understand the negative reviews! We had an amazing time last night in Manchester! Booked these tickets 3 years ago and they were well worth the wait! Peter Kay is an absolute legend and I am so glad I got to see him live before all you miserable woke lot kill off the comedy circuit for good! Don’t listen to all this negative feedback - if you didn’t laugh you must be dead inside! 2 & 1/2 hours of comedy gold and amazing value for money. Would go again tonight if I could!!
Same as most I think
Same as most I think. Appalling.... can't even be bothered dissecting it. Walked out half way through, utter waste of money
Disappointed didn’t really laugh …
Disappointed didn’t really laugh that much. Not very creative this time. It’s like he didn’t put much effort or preparation into to show.
The first part was just a bit of a re hash of old songs trying to make them funny but this went on way too long ….latter part of show improved but overall not the Peter Kay previously…

I've booked to see him again in Glasgow next April! Absolutely brilliant, it's an unpredictable world we live in and this was a breath of fresh air, when the music got louder, the excitement really started , we loved every minute of it, I don't want a change , I want the Peter Kay humour we all know and love , thank you Peter and thank you Manchester, bloody brilliant 😀 ❤️ ( shake and vac peter)
A great night
A great night. Funny, heartwarming and entertaining. Venue a pain and only 1 way out but Peter Kay was fantastic. Would go again tomorrow
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT
Best night from start to the amazing finish and everything in between, loved Steve, who didn’t quite get the adverts right,, UB40 a good choice though…bless… God knows what the bad reviewers were watching, The show is fabulous. .
Family from the highlands came to to see it as well and they’re lucky enough to be going again to the show in Glasgow next year, lucky things.
ENJOY…
Disappointed beyond belief!
Went to watch last night at AO Arena, on arrival the heat inside was unbearable, stood in the bar queue for 30 mins, then hit with £9.50 for a pint, so bought water instead, got a couple of bottles, you cant even keep the lid? What's that all about! Into the arena for the show. Was expecting belly laughs and hilarity, instead got him filming the audience for longer than needed. Funny for couple of mins but dragged on, then the awful adverts sing along, again not comedy really. Once that had dragged itself out, went onto tv programme theme songs, again stop as not funny, so first 40 odd mins were a bit rubbish. My son, 17 didn't get most of the relevance to the first half of the show. Interval and even hotter now, surely they can put the air-conditioning on. Second half didn't get much better for us, loads more recycled jokes that knew the punchlines for. And then all the talking about his previous jobs got very tedious and again not that funny, and if you didn't know he had a mum and a nanan before the show you certainly will after it as he will talk about them for most of the show. Then do a slightly creepy and corny montage to her! We left before the encore as we really couldn't be bothered staying. So overall a bad night out! Won't go and see him again.
