We had solar panels and battery installed at our property in East Sussex by phase Energy last October, we were very pleased with the install and service after install. The installation team were very professional and courteous. The system is running as described a year after install. We highly recommend the company.

We had 14 solar panels a little over a year now and they've worked exactly as promised. We barely use any electricity during the sunnier seasons and sell our excess back to the grid. The installation process was very quick, professional and there has been plenty of proactive post-care from Phase. Overall a great job done.

PRICING - good

INSTALLATION - went really well, great team with positive 'can do' mindset. We had a complication of other work happening at the same time, Phase Energy worked really positively with us to make it all work & fit seamlessly.

SYSTEM - we're really pleased with it, set up to add more battery storage if required in the future.

AFTER-CARE - communication just as good now project completed, eg I needed more details of the system for insurance purposes, was provided quickly.

CONCLUSION - no hesitation in whole-hearted recommendation, a breath of fresh air to work with.

Phase Energy were so professional - from the survey all the way to the installation. The team back at the office are very helpful and offer great support. I would highly recommend Phase Energy!

I recently had Phase Energy SE Ltd install a solar panel system on my home, and I’d like to share my experience to help others considering a switch to solar energy.

Overall, I’d rate my experience a 4 out of 5 stars, reflecting a mix of initial concerns and a positive outcome after the installation. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the process, from consultation to post-installation support.

Initial Consultation and Quote
The process began with a consultation, which was handled efficiently by Phase Energy SE Ltd’s sales team. The representative visited my property, assessed my roof’s suitability, took drone photographs and provided a detailed quote within a few days. The quote was transparent, breaking down costs for panels, inverters, and installation, which I appreciated.

Installation Process
The installation itself took two days, which was within the timeline provided. The crew was professional, arriving on schedule and keeping the site clean. They used high-quality monocrystalline panels, similar to those recommended by industry leaders, and the wiring was neatly integrated under the roof, enhancing the aesthetic.
However, there was a minor hiccup when the initial setup revealed a need for additional trench to be dug in order for Internet connectivity, to allow required real time monitoring.
This added a small cost, which was frustrating since it wasn’t flagged earlier. After a few emails and calls to their credit, Phase agreed it was their mistake and covered this cost.

Recent Staff Changes and Improvements
Phase Energy SE Ltd has openly acknowledged past issues, including inconsistent installation quality and customer service, which I found refreshing. I learned that the company recently overhauled its staff, replacing several team members involved in earlier errors with more experienced professionals. This followed a period of negative feedback about delayed projects and subpar workmanship, some of which I came across in online reviews. The new team appears to be better trained, and the company has implemented stricter quality checks.

My project manager was proactive in resolving the internet issue, and the post-installation inspection passed without problems, suggesting a genuine effort to rebuild trust.

Performance and Savings
Since activation, my system has been performing well, generating about 90% of the expected output based on my energy usage. The online monitoring provides clear insights into production, which has been helpful. I’m seeing a noticeable reduction in my electricity bills—around 53% so far—though it’s early days, and savings will likely improve as we learn to live with solar. The 25-year warranty on panels and a 10-year workmanship guarantee offer peace of mind, aligning with industry standards.

Customer Service and Support
Post-installation support has been a highlight. The customer service team responded promptly to my queries about the app setup and provided a follow-up call to ensure everything was running smoothly. This contrasts with some older reviews I read, where response times were criticized. The company’s commitment to addressing past shortcomings seems genuine, and I feel confident they’ll honor their warranty if issues arise.

There will always be slight teething issues along the way but the team put me at ease and it feels refreshing that this firm are proactively dealing with past problems to ensure future installations are smooth.

All things considered i would highly recommend Phase Energy.

I have had 144 panels installed on a barn roof of mine, loving it so far thank you Phase

We got a call from Phase Energy about the fact that they were in the area and could supply solar panels and batteries at very good prices. As this was something I was considering. I asked for a quote, which turned out to be competitive. Although we already had solar panels installed, the offer was attractive enough that we decided to replace the entire system—despite the existing panels being only 11 years old—and to maximise the use of our roof space. We also ordered three Tesla batteries.

Overall, the installation process was handled well and the service was generally good. However, there were delays with the Tesla battery installation due to supply issues on Tesla’s side.

Unfortunately, there was a bit of an hiccup after installation. Tesla delivered their battery pack in large black packaging, which was left on our drive. Phase energy said the responsibility to collect the packaging was Tesla’s but Tesla didn’t turn up and since I did not have a contract with Tesla expected Phase energy to deal with it. The packaging was removed after about 2 months.

Otherwise we are happy with everything.

Phase Energy installed solar panels to 2 properties 25th February 2025.
* Multiple problems remain following 1 no show & 2 other visits by their Head Engineer.
* 2 fire risks + 30kg unsecured battery at one property
* Neither battery ever connected to either house.
* Installations never tested.
* No information/booklet left with instructions regarding servicing etc for battery.
* Breaches of their obligations as laid out within their contract + those in the HIES Code of Conduct.
There appears to be no governing body interested in holding this company to account.
Yes, they have agreed to covering the costs of all the remedial work required to bring this installation up to the required standard - and finally work!
This had been, and is continuing to be, an absolute nightmare!

Excellent service from start to finish. From the initial enquiry to finishing the installation I couldn't fault Jessie and the team. I had a family bereavement after the survey was undertaken and they gave me the space and time to deal with that before making contact again. All my questions were answered before the installation - and I had quite a few! Jessie even came out especially to undertake a site visit to help understand my expectations.

On the installation day the entire team worked incredibly efficiently and got the job completed in a morning. Every aspect was completed neatly and the equipment positioned exactly where I had requested. Jessie even commissioned a separate worker to come and remove and subsequently replace slabs so that cabling could be hidden by running underneath.

Since then Jessie has made himself available to promptly respond to further questions from me about how best to use the app. He had previously told me but I just needed reminding. Phase Energy also provided a helpful 'cheat sheet' to set out key features. I became an avid viewer of the app, keen to review our energy generation, usage and export. More recently I simply note how much I spend on my electricity bill each day. Occasionally it is one or two pennies more than the standing charge! Thank you Phase Energy. I just wish I'd done this sooner.

If there was one thing I might have changed it would possibly be to have got a bigger battery from the outset. However, the one we have stores more than enough to provide all we need overnight and I am aware that I can add another battery at any time.

Initial contact and survey was perfect and couldn’t fault. Explained everything to me clearly and asked me what I want to achieve from my solar install. Unfortunately from there on it went down hill. Quote arrived and accepted. Deposit paid and install date set. Wasn’t informed of when scaffolding would be arriving until the day before the verbal install day, I contacted to check it was still happening as had nothing in writing to confirm. Scaffolding was erected, guys came to install the panels on the roof the next day (can’t fault the 2 guys that turned up) but was told the electrician would not be coming and would be delayed by a day. That’s fine these things happen next day arrives and a phone call to say the electrician won’t be arriving again (2 days of work I had to miss). 3rd day electrician arrives and completed the install. Placing the batteries where I wanted them but blocking an outdoor socket in the process, rather than mounting the battery 2 inches higher to clear the socket or moving the socket an inch. Installation was completed. No completion pack sent and I had to constantly chase for it. To be told every time I contacted that it would be with me “tomorrow” giving different excuses each time. Nearly 2 months later at it finally arrived. Certainly doesn’t feel me with confidence to use again in the future.

I’m clueless when it comes to solar and I can honestly say that these guys guided me through the whole process perfectly.
Everyone I dealt with was Brilliant so much so phased Energy will be fitting out another of my poultry building’s with another 50+ panels of solar and battery storage. 👍👍

Really good experience with Phase energy

I had been let down by another company at the designing stage for my solar due to some of our roof being a little tricky.
However phase energy came up with a really good design and the install was really smooth. the installers were extremely friendly & helpful. We were also very impressed with the initial home visit to discuss our usage and solar needs too.
Since the installation we’ve had some great weather, our daily electric charge has now become our weekly monthly charge. We are absolutely thrilled with the results !!
We may look to install a second battery in the future and won’t hesitate to call phase energy again for the install.

We were impressed by the team’s knowledge, specialised experience and professionalism. From the initial site visit, the installation and support, the team are brilliant. We chose them in the first place because they actually came to the house to check and survey before talking us through options, all other companies we contacted gave us a price based on an old aerial photograph, only Phase saw the site and understood the access and logistics. Their pricing was not the highest of all we contacted but they were the most trustworthy through the process. The installation day showed the depth of skills in the team, electricians and roofers. Martin, George and Dave were the tidiest of workers we’ve had on site ever. Handover was great and after installation support brilliant. We thoroughly recommend them.

The customer service offered by Phase Energy was of the highest order. Their understanding of our needs led to a very informative proposal and the installation was completed in a day with no problems. They have also kept in touch after the installation to check on progress and answer queries

They were professional and organised throughout, dealing very effectively with any little hiccups along the way. The best thing is now watching the sun shine and our electricity bills reduce considerably!

Awesome experience. Contacted Jesse at Phase Energy through a door to door marketing leaflet. Jesse's followed up regularly after providing a competitive quote, whilst I was trying to sort out the finance through my mortgage. Once that was sorted, installation date was agreed ( within 2 weeks) and the installation itself was conducted by some amazing, experienced tradesmen who did the job in half a day. Great company, great service!!!

We had been thinking about installing solar on our home for many years, we have had quite a few quotes in the past, but no one had made us feel quite so safe and looked after as Phase Energy.

Phase Energy approached us in early December, provided a same day quote and we were off to the races. They listened to our concerns, happily answered all questions from our tenants.

The whole process took less than 2 months from initial quote, and that was with a delay on our part for the works.

Our install was for 42 panels on an Cement Asbestos roof, the install was completed incredibly quickly but also to an very high standard. It felt like there was an entire army on site, but orchestrated perfectly by Phase Energy!

I could not recommend Phase Energy enough, we were probably not the easiest of customers to deal with, but we felt looked after and listened to the entire time.
