Life saver
Piddle patch was an absolute life saver in our toile training journey! We got her in January and between the cold and having to wait for her second shot we needed a solution for the house that wasn't pee pads. We started with the Piddle patch as soon as we brought her home and she took to it immediately. We then proceeded to move it outside on the patio so she learned to let us know when she needed to go out and it's been brilliant!
The first time we took her on a walk she led us straight to the grass patch outside our house to wee and since then she's had very little accidents.
Moreover, I had to contact support a couple of times (a delayed order and to have one shipped earlier than my usual subscription) and they have been quick and helpful.
I would absolutely recommend the company and the product to everybody who's getting a new puppy!

I cancelled our subscription because my…
I cancelled our subscription because my pup is now quite confident about peeing in the yard. We don’t have grass so wanted that to begin with so she felt comfortable as there was grass at the breeders house. I’m afraid that all she likes to do now with the piddle patch is bite lumps out of it, so it spends more time out of her reach.
I think it’s a great idea but we no longer need it. Our experience has been great so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

Grass is fine, service and website appalling
Look the grass patch is fine. I had to make some modifications to make it work for outside on the balcony, for example I had to put absorbent material used in bunny cages etc in the metal tray to absorb the excess pee that the patch couldn’t. And I had to craft a lid out of a large plastic storage box to protect it from the elements (otherwise it would only last 2 days before becoming disgusting).
What most of the stars were lost for was the customer service and their website. Their website and ordering system is hectic and confusing. It makes it really easy to get double orders or not understand when an order has been placed. Several times I’ve received either a double order or an order I had tried to cancel well before they sent it to me. Most times they tell you too bad nothing they can do, and occasionally they have fixed it but not before lecturing me and point out mistakes if made (which were not educational given they were down to the honestly appalling UI/ UX of their website). They even tried to used the excuse of being a small company. Being small isn’t an excuse for not knowing how to build a product and run a company - especially given the cost of the product.
Working in tech I know that it is not that difficult to create a functional website. This is so critical when you’re dealing with a physical subscription product like this.
Piddlepatch, it’s 2024, do better on your digital product and your customer service.

We are sorry to hear that you found the website and ordering process confusing. We are always here to help if you ever need to make any changes to your subscription and would always urge you to contact us if you need some guidance with using the website.
We have taken a look at all previous correspondence and can see that you contacted us regarding an order for 2 Piddle Patches recently.
The system shows that when changing your subscription you added a one-time purchase to the order. As mentioned at the time, you would have received a notification of this order and the money would have also been withdrawn from the account. Unfortunately, as you did not contact us until after your Piddle Patches were already shipped, there was no way for us to recall them.
We would always urge customers to check their order receipts and contact us as soon as possible if there are any mistakes with their order, we would then be happy to rectify any issues for you.
We can also see that you contacted us recently to cancel an order. We cancelled and refunded this order despite the order cut-off having passed, and we have no record of you ever contacting us about any other issues with your account. If you would like to reach out to discuss any issues further with us, however, then please do reach out and we can look into this for you.
We can see that you are still an active subscriber so please do reach out to us if you encounter any further issues or if there is anything regarding your account that you would like to discuss. We would also be happy to make any changes to your subscription for you when needed.

Piddle Patch is a fantastic product!
Piddle Patch is a fantastic product and life saver if you’re living in apartments with dogs! We initially got it when we got our first puppy living in an apartment but ended up continuing to use it as a handy back up when weather was very poor or for very late-night or early morning potty breaks. We of course still take our dogs outside on walks, but having a quick option when you’re at home has been a life saver!

Using piddle patch was a great…
Using piddle patch was a great experience and worked well for me. My partner and I brought a puppy home. We live in an apartment and don’t have our own backyard. I did not want to potty train with pee pads. Piddle patch was an amazing way to start my puppy’s potty training.

Not the answer to my prayers!
Gutted but my dog has just dug it up and there is a hole. Also it is muddy. I was hoping this was the answer to my prayers but unfortunately it isn't 😔 feels like a waste of money.

Piddle Patch grass is a natural plant product grown in a liquid retentive mat, which is brown in colour.
Some dogs can be tempted to dig in their Piddle Patch grass - after all, it is a fun activity and Piddle Patch grass can remind them of being at the park.
While some dogs may be tempted to dig, it’s not a good idea to allow them to do so. Setting boundaries, and establishing a routine, can help to prevent the digging. Your dog will naturally stop the behaviour when they understand that their Piddle Patch grass is there for pottying, and not for play.

We’ve loved using piddle patch
We’ve loved using piddle patch, living in a flat with a new puppy made it so much easier and we were able to toilet train him very quickly and it’s still very convenient to have even now he’s a bit older. (Just turned 1 this weekend!)
We love the environment friendly aspect of the piddle patch, and have very much appreciated the flexibility in the service provided, being able to change delivery dates and sometimes delivery addresses to fit around what we are doing. (Being away on holiday etc)
I think what this company are doing is great and we highly recommend this service!

A Lifesaver for Potty Training in the City
As a flat-dwelling dog owner in London, I cannot recommend Piddle Patch enough! We subscribed to this fantastic service shortly before welcoming our Labrador puppy, Nalle, into our family last September. Knowing that potty training would be challenging due to our living situation on the third floor of a building with no lift, we found Piddle Patch to be an absolute game-changer.
Nalle took to the grass patches immediately, and it made the training process so much smoother than we could have imagined. The quality of the patches was consistently excellent, and the subscription service was incredibly convenient and reliable.
After nearly 8 months, our pup has outgrown the need for Piddle Patch, thanks in part to the strong foundation it provided during her early training. We are grateful for the peace of mind it offered and cannot thank the founders of Piddle Patch enough for creating such an innovative solution for urban pet owners like us.

Reliable service combined with an…

Piddle patch support really made a difference
I chose piddle patch for the most reasonable price point when compared to competitors. Another thing that really made a difference for me is their customer support. Our puppy happens to arrive earlier into our home than expected, and thus I missed the day for shipment. I emailed Piddle Patch and Sarah kindly sorted this situation and manually included our order into the early shipment.
Sarah, thank you once again, I appreciate your willingness to go extra mile for a me. This hasn’t been unnotticed.

Fantastic for Toilet Training
The Piddle Patch has been fantastic for our puppy's toilet training! We live in an apartment and have the Piddle Patch on the balcony, we also have bells on the door so our puppy can let us know when he needs to go toilet, he quickly learnt how to use both the piddle patch and the bells. The grass arrives consistently lush and green, and with watering every couple of days, it lasts for weeks. Additionally, when I needed to pause my subscription briefly, the customer service was exceptional. They responded promptly and were incredibly accommodating. I'm delighted to have found Piddle Patch!

Expensive failed experiment
No issue with the legitimacy of the company or the ordering/shipping process, but with no returns on perishables items, the product is a hefty £60 risk. The product is very small, even for my toy Maltese, who absolutely refuses to use it. It also started growing weeds after the first two days, went brown after 4 and is plainly not soil-free as advertised. A very expensive failed experiment.

Each Piddle Patch is 66 x 48 cm and weighs approximately 6 kg. The weight of each Piddle Patch can fluctuate depending on the amount of water content in the grass.
We tested a larger size Piddle Patch but the challenge is that it becomes very heavy to lift and carry, and to remove and dispose of when it’s time to replace it with a new Piddle Patch.
If you are looking for a larger size, what actually works best is to put two Piddle Patches together to create the extra space you’re looking for, and to swap out each Piddle Patch individually as necessary. This also allows you to rotate the grass if your dog prefers using one area in particular and to only replace Piddle Patches as needed, instead of the whole unit.
We are always on hand to offer you any support with housetraining your dog so please do not hesitate to reach out for us for advice on how to get your dog to use their Piddle Patch.
Please note also that whilst we are not able to refund perishable items, you can return non-perishable items to us.
Please also be reassured that our Piddle Patches are soil and weed free. If you could please send us some photos of your Piddle Patch we can investigate this claim fully.

Isn't this just a £3 piece of turf? Not soil free as advertised.
This is advertised as being "soil Free" I received mine a couple of days ago and was amazed to find it looking remarkably like a £3 piece of turf in regular soil, I've messaged Piddle Patch and left numerous messages on their social media channels but yet to receive response.
Surely they cannot be selling a £3 piece of soil for £33 ? Also was it supposed to contain weeds? it's not only a £33 piece of turf, it's a poor quality £33 piece of turn that contains weeds !!

Puppy training
I loved the piddle patch experience and have recommended to other dog owners. I used it to help potty train my puppy, it looks nicer and is cleaner than using puppy toilet training pads.

Extremely disappointed
Extremely disappointed. The price is really overinflated for what you get and the customer service is very defensive. I had quite a long email exchange and with every reply I got the standard answer that the product is designed and grown with health of the puppy in mind.
Honestly why is it so much when it’s just grass seed grown under uv lights. It would be cheaper and a lot less hassle if you got turf from the local garden centre and put it in a litter tray.
I might have been impressed if it wasn’t for the nastiness that came across from customer service. I won’t be buying again.
As I said for the price it’s not worth the hassle. And as for the threats of review…oh look I did leave a review. Have you removed my details from your database as requested in my formal email request under UK law you are obligated to remove them.

We are sorry that we were not able to cancel and refund your order as requested. As mentioned to you via email, unfortunately, once an order is shipped and is with the courier there is no way for us to recall it.
We were disappointed to then receive threats of reviews when we were not able to refund your order despite explaining to you that we have order cut-offs (this information is available on our website) and that your order had already shipped.
When contacted after the order cut-offs have passed we always try to accommodate any requests to cancel/move shipping, but when your order has already been shipped, there is no way for us to cancel your order.
Each Piddle Patch takes a considerable amount of time and cost for our small business to produce and ship. Unfortunately, because of this we are unable to refund Piddle Patches that have been harvested and delivered to customers, as our fresh grass products are perishable and cannot be resold. We did offer you to return the tray for a refund, an offer which you did not respond to.
Each Piddle Patch is grown over a period of 14 months and is grown as an environmentally, low maintenance solution.
A Piddle Patch real grass potty pad offers a number of benefits over the grass you’ll find at your local garden centre.
Grass grown in soil, as you’ll find at the garden centre, has a short lifespan when it’s not planted into the ground and will begin to wilt and die within about 48 hours. By growing our grass in a liquid retentive mat, Piddle Patch grass has a medium from which it can continue to grow strong and healthy. It’s a living product!
The lack of dirt in our grass also means that you don’t need to worry about soil and mud making a mess in your home.
