I am 14 and I wanted to edit a photo for my friend. It charged me 10p so I paid. The next day it charged me £49.90!! Unbelievable. Good thing I didn’t even have £50 in my bank. I emailed the account to cancel the “subscription” and they did in fact cancel it but still, I got scammed. Never EVER use this website

Paid 10p to unblur a photo and then the next day £49.90 was taken from my bank account and set up as a monthly subscription. Luckily I paid via PayPal and I was able to get a refund. Complete scam!

Fraudulent Chinese Company who harvest and steal credit card details and pass fraudulent charges. Paypal sticks up for them so avoid them both.

PixGenie is really picauraW from an unknown location. I thought paying .10 cents through my G wallet was all I needed to pay to download an animated photo through Pixgenie. But then, Pixaura charged me $49.90 subscription, from an unknown location. My bank declined it, and I had to get a new debit card. They are a scam company and do not know how they are linked to pixgenie.

Avoid this site, they’re dishonest and it’s a con, they sign you up for a subscription and continually take money from your card.

I paid €0.10 for a one-off AI photo edit. After entering my card details, Pixgenie attempted to charge €49 for a monthly subscription that was not clearly disclosed or explicitly agreed to. There was no transparent opt-in for recurring billing. Be very careful — this feels like a classic subscription trap.

It's a scam. They offer to charge you 10 cents for a single picture and then they sign you up for a $50 subscription. Total scam. Avoid.

My bank fortunately picked up on this and it is with their fraud team.
2 x 10p appear on my bank statement, but a day later they tried taking 2 x £49.90.

Absolutely disgusted, which I thought was a simple Apple Pay transaction to make a photo animated for 1p, which I thought Apple Pay was safe but clearly not as this dodgy company still to this day one month later he’s trying to take out transactions of £49, lucky enough my NatWest bank is denying them every time but still I think people should know and complain like I am now going to do and get this company closed down

Scam! Charge €0,10 (twice) for charging one foto but in reality the try to charge €49,90 for a pro membership. It seems it was possible to cancel subscription. SCAAAAAAM!

Paid to enhance a simple uploaded photo on the website for £0.10. They then tried to take £49.90 every day from my card, even though it was definitely NOT clear at all that I was signed up to a subscription.

I am very careful about paying online but even this website somehow tricked me into a subscription, intentionally and purposely hiding or making it extremely difficult to notice. It's clearly a scam to trick you into taking regular payments of about £50 from your card.

I contacted my bank and they looked at the reviews, and advised to make a claim for fraud. I will be contacting all authorities about this website and they are trickster and fraudulent. The bank advised to cancel the subscription, but here's their con - They don't have any way to contact them via chat or phone, and no way to cancel any subscription on their website! I wonder why?! Looking into more detail they appear to be based in Netherlands apparently

🖕 Charged £49.90 without clear warning. Subscription cancelled immediately but no refund. Very disappointing and feels misleading. Do not recommend.

They take a pre auth on your card to use the tool for one image. ( Software not all that good at all) Then the next day no warning they take a large amount for an annual fee and will not accept enails to ask for a refund. Point blank refuse . Horrid , unfair and actual fraud/theft. DO NOT USE !

Scam. Dont do it. They try to charge the next day more.

Be aware

I used this site to enhance images of my family for Christmas time. The editor was acceptable, but not great. This didn’t matter much to me as a pop-up window notified me that it would only cost .10c AUD for the image. The next day my bank informs me of a suspicious charge, you guessed it, from Pixigenie. I have now received my refund through the bank and have also recieved emails from Pixigenie poorly explaining their scam and trying to put the fault on me.
Interestingly, on the website refund policy, it states that they have received multiple emails regarding unauthorised subscription charges, but that this is from another site called Pixgenie.net. Perhaps they ran both, as Pixigenie is a relatively new website. Disgusting behaviour.
